1-10 of 405 Eastern Caribbean Eurodam Eastern Caribbean Cruise Reviews
This was our first Holland America cruise after going on 5 Carnivals and 1 Royal Caribbean. Immediately, I noticed a beautiful and super clean ship that smelled fresh upon boarding. Fresh flowers and smiling, warm faces greeted us.
Embarkation was almost painless and took about 15 minutes total. Super friendly staff. We arrived about an hour before our assigned time and were on the ship ...
Embarkation:
The Eurodam was the only cruise vessel in FLL port with passengers. (Noordam was docked but with no passengers.) We were informed that the ship would only have 905 passengers on this sailing (43% of full double occupancy passenger capacity!), so embarkation was a breeze. First (hopefully) post-COVID cruise.
We had our doubts over continuous pre-cruise emails from HAL ...
DH, DS, DD, DB (DD's Boyfriend) and I (DW) cruised on the Eurodam over the spring holiday break. Although the ship was reported to be full (nice eclectic passenger group), we never noticed any crowds, perhaps because we spent much of our time lounging in our Retreat and Lido Cabanas. We all enjoyed the cabana experience more than we thought and it was money well spent!
I was quite concerned ...
Embarkation and disembarkation both were handled efficiently. The cabin was comfortable but lacked for storage compared to other ships. This was our first cabin with a balcony, and we enjoyed the ability to step out and/or sit for a bit. The self-chosen dining option worked well, and we never waited more than 5 minutes for a table. The dining staff were capable, and we enjoyed the food, ...
This cruise was a last minute decision for us. My husband's company opens hotels, and last year all of them were majorly affected and shut down due to hurricanes. We had to airlift our employees out of the British West Indies, and then Puerto Rico. But the stories we heard of the residents there, were heartbreaking. So, the cruise we went on cost us practically nothing, and we wanted to support ...
Chose this cruise because of time of year I can vacation and amount of days that I can do.
Let's start with embarkation, some of the fastest that I have ever done and have done quite a few.Room was OK but small for a handicap room (8026). Room was well taken care of and any thing we needed was handed very promptly.
The one thing that did not impress me was the food ,especially in the ...
We wanted just a little getaway with some sun and beaches. Amber Cove is nothing special, we took a catamaran snorkel tour instead. Not a huge variety of fishes, but plenty came when the guide feeded them with bread. I don´t want to jugde if this is ecological correct. St. Maarten still suffers from hurrican Irma but beach was ok. Just crowded when an excursion from the Allure of the Seas came to ...
My friend and I chose Holland America hoping to to avoid Spring Breakers, a lot of children and a drinking party atmosphere. We were looking for a relaxing vacation with entertainment that would appeal to us. This was a perfect choice. The guests' ages appeared to be 30's - 70's and included a few families w/ well behaved children. It was a very nice diverse group of people and the service was ...
Wow. What a great ship and cruise line. We have been cruising with Princess the last four times and thought it was time for a change. And I’m glad we did! Embarkation and disembarkation were an absolute breeze, service was excellent. From the pool guys to the officers, everyone was wonderful. The ship layout was lovely and simple to navigate. Our verandah room 8014 was lovely and quiet. We never ...
We chose this cruise (14-day back-to-back) because the price was right and we wanted to experience the Eurodam. We've always had good luck with HAL which is why we keep going back. This cruise was no different. HAL caters to folks in our age group (retirees) and generally you can expect a laid back cruise. If you're into rock climbing walls, water slides, arcades, partying into the late hours and ...
