We had been looking forward to this cruise for several years. We were celebrating a significant anniversary and we had had a wonderful experience on a previous Princess cruise. The ship sailed from Vancouver to the Hawaiian islands and back. It was a 15 day cruise. The ship itself was clean but not maintained all that well. There were mysterious wet spots on the carpeting in some areas and the occasional funky smell. There were also a lot of burnt-out or non-unctioning lights, which may seem trivial but often indicates a general lack of maintenance that may extend to areas not so visible. The seating in the Princess Theatre was atrocious. Any of you who are large might consider that there is only an 18" width to the seats and the sides are hard. (Picture sitting in a box 18" wide.) EVERYONE that we discussed this with felt that those seats were awful! To give you some idea of the width, 18" is even less than the 18.5" that airline seating allows. The food had also gone downhill siginificantly, as had the service. Everything appears to have been cost-cut to the point where it is obvious to pretty much all of the passengers. The staff in the dining rooms is running to keep up, the wait times between course servings is frequently a half hour or more, and the food delivered may, or may not match the descriptions in the menus. Much of the hot food or soup is luke-warm at best. (The Princess chefs need a Truth-In-Advertising refresher course.) In addtion, the food is generally just plain bland. The pace and working conditions of the staff show in their attitudes. Where you never used to encounter an "attitude" with the crew and service people, these days you hear not-so-subtle complaints and encounter mediocre service on a fairly regular basis. Worse yet, every where you turn somebody is trying to sell you something at an additional cost. This encompasses not only all of the regular shops and over-priced drink packages, but also periodic sales in the dining rooms between meals under conditions that would make a discount store blush as well as the purported "activity" programs offered to pasengers which are thinly disquesed sales programs. It gets really, realy old in a hurry. Lastly, the premium restaurant that we tried was the steak house on board. Bearing in mind that this meal cost an additional $29 per person, (although ours was part of our tour package), one would expect a really fine steak. However, the steaks we ordered, while beautiful and beautifully cooked, had no flavor whatsoever! Yes, there were some really fun surprises and a few really memberable dishes in the dining rooms. Yes, some of the shore trips were great. But overall, I'm thinking that this was probably our last Princess cruise. Read Less

We chose this cruise as we had never been to Hawaii and wanted to see several island without having to pack and unpack our luggage all week. I was concerned after reading some reviews of the Pride of America but was extremely happy that I only have great things to say about our experience. The embarkation and disembarkation process was extremely smooth. We took an early morning Pearl Harbor tour after the cruise and it was great to take the tour and then transported to The Honolulu Airport. Sheldon, our room attendant did an amazing job keeping our balcony room clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our tours; however the lunches served on the were not very good. We also loved our breakfasts at Skyline restaurant and enjoyed all of our dinners at La Cucina, Moderno, Teppanaki, and a Liberty. We like that the serving sizes at the restaurants were a nice size and. Did not lead to overeating. The ship was very clean. We also enjoyed listening to a piano playing singer in Pinks Lounge. Although the balcony room was smaller than other cruise lines we have been on, we got used to the size. I would not hesitate to tell people to take this cruise. We had great customer service, excursions, and dining experiences and fulfilled my dream of seeing several islands of Hawaii. Read Less

The Hawaiian cruise was always on our bucket list.Celebrating our 25th Wedding anniversary and my wife’s 59th Birthday,we were treated with beautiful suite decorations and champagne plus excellent service from our concierge and butler. Our cabin steward kept our suite in perfect shape and she was always friendly. This vacation was every thing I expected. We did take alot of excursions and they were excellent.Helicopter tour over Kauai was best plus deep sea trolling meeting good people along the way.You got to enjoy the restaurants (fantastic).Cagneys,Jefferson Bistro,& LaCucina had very friendly waitors and did have you take your time enjoying your meal which were cooked to perfection.Alot of fun with entertaining shows and crafts. Never thought I would make 3 lei ( orchid, kukui nut,& ribbon). Visited Dole pineapple plantation with train ride ( definitely try the pineapple ice cream) then off to Pearl Harbor to pay homage to our soldiers who sacrificed for us. Very touching to see the sunken ships plus very educational. We were able to go on Ford Island to see the sunken Utah. All the beauty of Hawaii was well worth the travel and expense. Read Less

We decide to take the cruise because of the discounted fare. Finding the entrance for embarkation was a little confusing because of lack of signs. But once inside the building things went pretty smoothly. We had a balcony stateroom which we enjoyed. Big bed, adequate storage space & great view from the balcony. The only downside was the small shower stall; it was difficult to move around. The housekeeping staff was outstanding, changing towels several times each day and greeting us by name, with friendly smiles. The restaurants were very good. Nice menus with good choices. The buffet was OK but always crowded and hard to find tables. Entertainment in the evenings were great, esp. the comedian, Michael Somerville. Service except for the housekeeping staff, was so-so. Some of the shipboard staff (restaurants, guest services, etc.) were really nice but there were some who didn't seem happy in their jobs. We didn't take any shore excursions, instead renting cars in a couple of ports. There were shuttles that took passengers to shopping malls in several ports which was very nice. But there wasn't enough information to tell us what each shuttle destination consisted of. Overall, it was a good cruise. Based on this experience, we would consider taking other cruises. Read Less

We had some friends that had done this cruise 10 years ago. I always wanted to go to Hawaii and thought it would be a good way to see the Islands. It was wonderful except the tropic storm that decided to come. I wished we had more time so much more to see and do. Culture was beautiful. My husband and I plan to return in 5 years. I would like to say that all the crew was very friendly and always got involved with the customers and made it fun. We only had 1 thing that happened that was upsetting. On Saturday when we boarded the ship we where looking forward to having a couples massage. I called up and booked them for Monday 9/10/18 at 5:45 when we came back to ship we figured we would need these. My husband and I got ready to go up there and when we got there only was told that we did not have any booked in our name. Well that was our let down. But everything else was good. Read Less

Wanted to see as many of the Hawaiian Islands as we could since this was a once in a lifetime experience for us. We are in our 70’s. Choose the 11 day Oahu experience which included 4 days in Waikiki with 3 tours of the island prior to boarding the ship. Couldn’t have been any better. Tour guide Kimo was perfect. No issues embarking. Our luggage was outside our stateroom upon arrival. We stayed in aft room 10684 with a large balcony. Room was excellent and comfortable. We ate most of our meals in the Skylight restaurant which had a varied excellent menu. We also ate at Cagneys a steakhouse and are still raving about our steaks. The onboard entertainment was excellent. We choose 5 shore excursions. Loved the “Land of the Frozen Fire”, Directors Tour, Maui Beach and Luau. No issues. All the tour guides went out of their way to ensure a fun day. Weather was perfect! We traveled the week after hurricane Lane and had perfect weather on every island. We highly recommend the Pride of America. Also note the age group on this ship varied from babies to seniors. Perfect for anyone. Read Less

I was looking forward to the day in Honolulu. They could of extended it the day we got back. The food was very good. Ports were very beautiful. The shore excursions were also very interesting. We dined in the premium restaurants which were very good. The cruise director Jamie was very informative and active on the cruise. Getting on and off the ship in the various ports was very easy. The service overall was very good. it took a while for the customer service group to help us with our lost day in Honolulu. We finally came to a compromise, on the lost day. Not what I wanted but was OK. If I could get the full trip as I paid for I would go again at the same price. Read Less

Never did I guess I'd be on a Hawaiian cruise and have to worry about a hurricane, but it just happened. Only the 3rd hurricane to ever hit the islands. Norwegian was amazing. They changed the itinerary a few times, we missed a couple ports but didn't mind. They took us from Maui to Kauai to avoid the brunt of Hurricane Lane which hit the Big Island. We left Kauai a day early as well and they took us 1000+ miles out to sea. We felt nothing from the Hurricane. The crew and staff were happy thru the event and the Captain kept us informed a couple times a day. Did I miss Kona and Hilo and a Luau on Kauai? Yes. Can I go back and do that? Yes. Did I complain about it? Absolutely not. It is what it is and the crew made it a great experience. Read Less

This ship is smaller and older but still nice and feels more homey than other ships we’ve been on. The food was pretty decent in all the free locations and very good in the paid restaurants. We really enjoyed the stake house. The Japanese restaurant was also very yummy. The entertainment and shows were great, the one that stood out was the magician Kyle Marlett. Best magic show we’ve ever seen! They Comedian was also very funny. The crew was pretty great. Most of them being American. You can tell they work hard long hours. We did some activities off the ship. The black sand beach was fantastic. Overall we were very happy with the cruise. No other cruise let’s you see Hawaii like NCL so it’s worth the money. Read Less

I chose this cruise because it was a last minute decision and the only one going to Hawaii on the date that I needed. I will NEVER AGAIN sail with Norwegian. Many of the staff members are not only not very friendly, but downright rude — they argue back with their passengers. I encountered this not only myself but was witness to others, too. The elevators were another issue. There are thousands of passengers on board, but there are only seven elevators. Worst of all, they are so slow that I ended up just using the stairs. Norwegian also does not provide free WiFi. What institution in this time and day does not allow free WiFi? So I thought, okay, I don’t need their WiFi because I’ll just use my cellular data. Nope! They prevent you from using yours so that we have to purchase theirs. Norwegian also charges you a mandatory tip of 20% for all additional services from cleaning your room, buying drinks, room service, etc. Due to this MANDATORY tip, the staff feel no need to be extra good to their guests. For just choosing to sail with Norwegian, I had to dole out an additional $650 that was my automatically charged to my account regardless of whether I chose to get my room cleaned or not or whether their staff treated me well or not. Food is another issue. Overall, it’s mediocre at best. The breakfast buffet at Aloha Cafe was acceptable, but lunch was horrible. Dinner was exactly the same whether one dined at Liberty, the one that requires that all adults wear long pants or the Skyline, the one that allows complete casual wear. ALL of their pastries crumbled under my fork for some reason and the many of the foods were too salty for my taste. While on the ship, there was nothing to do. The only activity worthwhile for me were the lei making classes. The two pools that they had next to each other were too tiny that they resembled jacuzzis. Finally, my cabin’s restroom continued to smell of urine whether it was cleaned or not. It seemed that it might have been coming from the drains. The public restrooms in the men’s room didn’t have toilet liners. Read Less

Room steward was excellent. very quiet. The food was good, service exceptional. All drinks at all bars were spot on. Entertainment was good. Open dinning was lovely, never felt rushed to get to dinner.Cruise was casual dress.Only one restaurant requirred dress code, no formal night We took our 18 year old, All other NCL cruises allow you to sign to allow your child wine or beer in international waters, this cruise does not leave the states, so 21 for adult activities/ drink applies ( some night shows are 21+) Again as it is in U.S/ Hawaiin waters no casino / bingo. The views of the volcano glow are amazing, the Captain will turn off the ships lights so you have a better view ( this is seen on the starberd side of the ship) The coast can be seen on the port side ( with narration and history of what is being seen) Shore excursions were costly, but hop on off buses are available at each port. Lei making classes available on board as well as hula classes to name a few. Very clean ship, hand sanitizer everywhere also I would recomend this cruise to anyone who would like to see the islands without island hopping Read Less

This was a great way to see the Hawaiian Islands with a great itinerary but if you have cruised on other cruise lines you will likely be disappointed in the quality of the service and the quality of the food. While we experienced several very good staff members the quality of the service overall is well below what you would expect compared to many other cruise lines. Food quality was eatable but nothing to write home about and the Freestyle dining while it sounds great is inefficient since they are trying to do everything all at the same time. The excursions were good but overpriced. The embarkation and disembarkation processes at the beginning and end of the cruise were good but at ports the disembarkation process was very inefficient. The ship was nice but difficult for those with mobility issues with narrow corridors and the staff kept leaving things sticking out into the corridors so we had trouble negotiating with a wheel chair. Not the quality of other cruises we have been on but it is Hawaii and they are the only cruise line that does this so make sure to get a good deal on you fare and lower your expectations and have a great time. To see the Hawaiian Islands..the excursions were terrific..the people, the places were fantastic...but.. The ship is old and tiny! I paid for a balcony cabin, what would have gotten me a nice one on Princess or Celebrity Cruise LInes (where I have sailed 4 times before)..barely got one that was big enough to hold two twin beds...18"-20" from the foot of the bed to the opposite wall. Balcony so small out stretched arms could reach each side...two chairs on it, three would not fit, with foot rest extended..went from rail to door no room for anyone to walk behind or in front. The Aloha Buffet had good food, but...there was always at least one machine out of order, Ice maker, Ice cream maker, milk machine, coffee maker, juice dispenser..at least one sometimes two...no Ice in Hawaii?/ Not enough caring staff to clean off tables, they were piled with dirty dishes,,that often we the cruisers piled on other dirty tables to find a place to sit...just not caring. The ship is OLD, I know it was remodeled a few years ago, but it needs to go, showing it's age in decorations, function and cabin size. Read Less

Hi. Just off the boat Saturday 9th June. Trip to Big Island cancelled due to volcanic issues on the island. So first night spent In Honolulu which was a disappointment but fully understood. Compensated $50 port charges so make sure you settle your account after the ship leaves the last port. We had a suite cabin on deck 13 ( Portside ) the best side to view the Napali Coast, one can enjoy the views directly from their own private deck. We chose to enjoy the ship and did only one paid shore excursion thru the ship helicopter trip called Heaven & Earth on Kauai $399 each. In our country we drive on the left so did no feel comfortable driving in Hawaii. With the helicopter flight we got a good land tour, lunch. Pickup from the ship at 10am, drive to lighthouse, beach & lunch, great tour guide in new Mercedes-Benz’s van. Transported to heliport at 2.45pm, safety briefing etc then 50 minute flight over Waimea Canyon and Nepali Coast. Weather not the greatest in some parts with rain but pilot did a great job. ( recommend ). Then transported back to the ship by 5.15pm. Airport about 10 minutes away from the ship. Our daily routine was up for a swim at 8am so one could swim some lengths before the crowd arrives. (Pool opens at 8am ). Clean up and breakfast and lunch at Cagneys Restaurant ( suite passengers only ) but same food as other restaurant but just gets served to you. We liked that as we would have put too much on our plates otherwise. Sun bath and then usual go ashore and wander around for a few hours. Booked 5.30pm meal times so we could enjoy the entertainment. Shows last 1 hour, then we would then go to the next show etc. Joel Meyers the magician excellent and very entertaining. Brenda Kaye the hypnotist also excellent. I volunteered and turned out I was the Star of the show. I supposedly put on a pretty good performance for every one. We attended her seminar also very informative. Recommend. On the last day suggest you pack your bags after lunch as they have to be out for collection by midnight. But on the last day the ship leaves port at 1.30pm, but there is shows and art auctions etc to go to. Plus the best viewing along the Napapli Coast is form 5.15pm to 6.15pm then back to back entertainment until 11pm. Then even a later party. For us a trip of a lifetime and we only booked a suite because my wife seen a deal which she could not resist......... she always says that when she spends. Recommend a suite. No queues, dining seating by the windows, treats left in the room etc. Only disappointment no trip to the big island. Big win for the cruise company though as they did not have to pay for the fuel would have used to cruise there. No bad cruises just bad cruisers. Enjoy we did. Read Less

First time cruiser, chose this cruise since it provided an opportunity to see 4 islands over 7 days. At last minute canceled all stops to the big island due to volcanic activity. Local tourism has taken a beating due to the media hype and it is just hype. They decided to stay in port at Honolulu one more day turning a 7 day, 4 island cruise into a 6 day, 3 island cruise. Not what i paid for and a measly 84 dollar credit for this change. Ship was nice, clean but food was meh. Nothing special. They say this is freestyle cruising meaning eat when you want, except for the 4 hours a day transitioning from breakfast to lunch and lunch to dinner. That just happened to be the times we wanted to eat, late lunch rather than a later dinner. Take note that all onboard charges for services include mandatory 20 % service charge which translates into the worst customer service! They could learn a lot from Disney, smiling, happy greetings, tentativeness. The bar staff were the worst but some of the others such as buffet staff were just as bad. They offer an upgrade option by bidding on deluxe, larger rooms, tried to win one and i made bids aggressively to win one but did not. Good luck if you try. Have to spend more than the cabin would have cost if you booked it. Onboard art auction is another money making scheme, not an auction at all, they start bidding less than but close to the retail price they quote. Read Less

My wife and I had our first cruise with Norwegian and we will never cruise with them again. This trip was for our 25th wedding anniversary and we took the 10 hour flight each way from Sydney to Honolulu to get there. We found out from our travel agent on the day we were leaving Australia that the ship would not go to Hilo on the Big Island due to the volcano and we spent the first 24 hours sitting in port at Honolulu. As we had already organised extra days at the end of the cruise to explore Oahu there was not much for us to do except stay onboard the ship. Then on the evening we were supposed to sail to Kona on the Big Island the Captain announced over the PA that we would not be stopping there either and would be spending a day at sea. Then the Cruise Director gets on the PA and tried to put a positive spin on the situation, which just came across as an insincere "snow job". So instead of stopping at four ports we only stopped at two - Kahului on Maui and Nawilili on Kauai. They were nice places to visit and I would have preferred an extra day on both Maui and Kauai instead of sitting in port or spending a day at sea. The volcano had been erupting since the 3rd of May so NCL could have made the decision not to go to the Big Island a lot earlier and arranged extra days on the other two islands to make up for it. The shore excursions we had booked from Australia at Hilo and Kona were cancelled and we were offered on board credit (but not a refund). When we tried to book other excursions we found that others had got in before us and most of the good excursions were booked out so we had to settle for the crumbs. The lady at the Shore Excursions desk was not very helpful and lacked empathy for the situation we were in. We had a mid-ship oceanview room, which was OK although the bathroom was very small and you had to be a contortionist to use the shower. Our cabin stewardess was very good and looked after us very well. The entertainment was very poor. Some of the singers couldn't stay in tune. The magician was poor. Toby Beau and Carre Stone were good. Fred Bevill the comedian was very good - at least my wife and I were able to have a laugh in spite of all the dissappointments. There was a strong smell of sewerage emanating from the rear of the ship near the corner with the starboard side which seemed comaptibel with the overall experience of our cruise. The windows of the ship were dirty and cloudy so I could not sit on the inside and enjoy the views. The only good thing I can say is that the food and the service in La Cucina, Jefferson's Bistro and Cagney's steakhouse was excellent. The food in the Aloha Cafe was OK but it was very busy and often difficult to get a table. Overall we had a terrible experience and wont be cruising with Norwegian again. Read Less

This is the only cruise ship whose home port is Hawaii. We did not want to experience multiple days at sea to get there. The ship could not go to two ports on the Big Island due to the volcano and air quality which is understandable. However, we stayed the first day and night at the port in Honolulu. Having already spent time in Honolulu before the cruise, we would have preferred a day at sea. The passengers did not receive any benefits from this NCL "money saving" change to the itinerary. We thought the food was very good and the magician and comedian were better than normal. The shows were OK but one of them we had seen on another NCL cruise. The singing was very much below par with several singers being flat on more than one occasion. They were much better dancers than singers. Cabin was normally what you get on a cruise ship. However, there were several rust spots on the balcony. Unfortunately, the view was partially obstructed by life boats right next to the balcony. Nothing indicated this obstructed view in the booking process and there was no discount for this cabin which you usually get with partially obstructed views. Read Less

We chose this cruise because it would be our first time to Hawaii and we would visit 4 islands. Embarkment was very easy, it only took us approx. 15 minutes to board from the time we dropped our luggage to the time we boarded ship. They had the buffet ready so we could have lunch and hang out until our room was ready. I researched before taking our cruise so I was aware of the additional charges for drinks, service charges etc. All services had a 20% gratuity so no tip was added except in case of exceptional service. We did leave a tip in the two dinning rooms, Liberty and Skyline since there was no extra charges so no gratuity was added. Buffet was okay, Barbeque by pool was good but Skyline food was excellent. The difference in Liberty and Skyline was the dress code. The food was the same. Staff was friendly and courteous, each asking where we were from and are we enjoying our cruise. Our cabin was small but that was expected. Bathroom was quite small but we had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There was entertainment every night, some which was good and some was very good. Loved the not so newlywed game. We did several excursions. One of our favorites was the Smith family luau. I booked this unit separate from NCL. The food was excellent, the ceremony of uncovering the pig and the actual show after dinner was very entertaining. Our only disappointment due to the volcano we did not get to dock at the big island so instead of visiting 4 islands we visited 3. Even though I was disappointed I applaud NCL of thinking of our safety Read Less

Our experience on the Pride of America was awful! We only went to two ports Maui and Kauai. They cancelled Hilo and Kona because of the volcanic activity. I have a friend who lives in Kona and she said the island was fine. We walked into Maui and there was a T.J. Max and Ross for less store. That's it! These ports that Norweigan stops at are WORKING PORTS. There is no shopping, and it was the same in Kauai, so if you don't have an excursion planned you are out of luck! The entertainment was terrible. The comedian was the only one worth seeing. The magician was terrible. You can see better magic on the streets of Las Vegas. How about Bingo? Norweigan only offered bingo twice for the full week. This is a ship that the median age is over 70 and they only offer it twice? Some ships have it twice a day. I don't think the ship was refurbished in 2016 because our medicine cabinet in the bathroom had mold in it. The best thing we did were the excursions. Some of the tour guides were complaining that norweigan did not let their customers know the appropriate clothing items to bring on the excursion. For example, the sunrise crater excursion, you should bring gloves, coat, blanket, flashlight etc. Lastly, I was told when I booked this cruise that I would be getting $300.00 in onboard credit. I never got it! I guess I'm not surprised because this was truly the vacation from hell. Read Less

Entertainment was very poor. The evening when we were to go to the big island, we were told that they had decided not to go and that we would spend a day at sea and go back to Lahaina for an extra day. Since we had already been there, I had no interest in going back. I did not want to spend another whole day on the ship to I booked an excursion. Here we had to tender. This was a terrible experience. Poorly organized. To get back on the ship , we had to wait in line for about an hour in the sun and the heat. Since my original helicopter trip in the big island was cancelled, I tried to sign up for a different one in Kauai. I was told that they were all booked and would let me know if there was a cancellation. They never let me know of a cancellation but when my cabin mate came back from her helicopter ride, I found out that there was an empty seat right next to her. This was the worse cruise I have taken. This cruise was elected by my sister who was celebrating her 50th wedding anniversary. The embarkation went smoothly compared to disembarkation. I did not like having to disembark so early since our flight was not leaving to later in the day. I would recommend arriving a day early to the departure city and leaving a day later in the departure city. The cruise director and his staff made this cruise really memorable, there was an abundance of onboard activities to suit everyone. The food was excellent and stewards added to the experience. Celio was our assigned steward and he went over and above his duties to ensure our room was clean, etc. Their main mission appeared to be ensuring that we enjoyed this cruise. POA was an older ship but appeared to be maintained and updated. as much as possible. The living quarters were a little tight but was not uncomfortable. We enjoyed the balcony because we were able to see the magnificent sunrise or sunset everyday except one. The shore excursions were pricey but really gave us our money worth. Hawaii is so beautiful and each excursion highlighted the beauty of the islands. Read Less

We chose this cruise in order to see as many islands in Hawaii as we could in a weeks time. I wanted to write this review as many of the reviews that we read prior to the trip were unfavorable and primarily in relation to the staff aboard the Pride. We are seasoned cruisers and the staff were wonderful From the time we boarded the staff was welcoming and helpful. We booked a suite 12500 which was the perfect location for us and quiet. Thomas and Cesar were both helpful to us as the butler and concierge. The cruise director and team were great and entertaining as were the shows in particular the group Uptown. We enjoyed the specialty restaurants every night except when we went to the luau. The most amazing restaurant was Cagney's Steakhouse and the staff. They really made it a great week as we ate all of our breakfasts and lunches there as well as two dinners. The best highlight of the trip was the Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour in Kauai which we booked through the ship Thank You Read Less

We would highly recommend Royal Caribbean to anyone. Their staff are highly trained and see to your comfort and individual needs above all else. Always friendly and courteous no matter how long of a day they have had. They make you feel a part of the family! Always something to do on and off the ship, always helpful in Guest Services and just overall a great company to take a cruise with! Food well prepared in an excellent and clean environment! Everyone went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience ever and we did! Keep you informed of everything going on and changes that are made when necessary. We felt very pampered. The games were funny and there was always something for everyone to do. Had to make time to rest - there was so much to do and see. Cruise tours were the best! We can not say enough about our great experience! Read Less

only one to circle Hawaii to save a lot off 'at sea' days. really opposed to that 'extra line for 'extra tip' . REALLY .. an automatic 20% to go to the bar and bring you a drink seems sufficient.. then the nerve to request more ?? you could schedule the evening entertainment a little better.. to dine at around 6 PM and try to get 2 major shows on was really difficult. seating in the Mardi Gras I think where major entertainment was makes viewing rather difficult because the floor is not elevated as in the other theater. the guitar player was great and the piano player also. the band from New Zealand I believe that played by the pool was also great.. all in all not too bad a cruise. bringing our luggage down from the room on our own is a great option to getting off the ship on the last day. We chose this cruise because we wanted to do Hawaii and see all islands without flying to each island and losing time. Loved the entertainment and especially the shore excursions we experienced. We got to see which islands we’d like to visit again! Food onboard average had better on other cruise lines but we were there to visit islands not for food. The only negative I would say is that they should communicate better with shore excursions in that you could do part of excursion ; for example my husband didn’t want to do helicopter tour but he could’ve done kuai sight seeing tour which was fantastic with Doeme from heaven and earth quest . Loved Oahu, Kona, and Maui! If you want to see Hawaii once in lifetime trip this is the best way to do it. We did land and cruise which was exceptional . A lot to see and reasonable for price with food mostly included. You had to pay for food on land portion. Read Less
