So we chose this cruise because we were traveling with a wide range of cruisers and it was a port drivable from Kansas City. We had ourselves in our 40's on our 8th cruise, my mother-in-law and her sister in their late 60's on their first cruise, and my daughter and her friend who are 18 and 19. Being our 8th cruise and being that our most recent two cruises were on the Harmony of the Seas and the Norwegian Getaway, we had lowered our expectations for this trip. We knew it was a baby ship in comparison, older, and had less overall amenities than any other ship we had gone on, including our first cruises with Carnival when our kids were smaller. I was concerned whether this ship would be good for all of us. That concern was certainly warranted! Here is how I feel it went from all perspectives: 1) For us on our 8th cruise, this cruise was a letdown. The entertainment was some of the worst we've experienced on any cruise - particularly the Centrium and and the stage presentations were just kind of bad. The music was all aimed towards the older travelers in our group. Nothing that even really appealed to us. The food was exceptional, as with our experience on the Harmony, we were very satisfied with the food. Our service in the main dining room was also exceptional, but our room steward was probably one of the least attentive and knowledgable that we have ever had. 2) From our mother-in-law and her sister's perspective, they had a great time. They found lots of enjoyment in the music, the different activities, and the casino. Much of this ship was geared straight towards them and it helped that they had no previous experience for comparison. 3) Our in betweeners - not old enough to drink and be a part of that scene, but not young enough to be a part of the teen club. I think they were the most bored and unamused at the entertainment options. They did a lot of Karaoke watching, but said that much of the entertainment was "cringy". There is no nightclub aboard this ship and some of the dance parties were canceled due to weather. The girls ate, slept and wondered around. I think they enjoyed it, but it wasn't a wowwing experience for the 19 year old who had never cruised before. My conclusion on this is this - I would not book this ship again. Just too small, too outdated, and too few options for killing boredom, especially on a rainy sea day. Read Less

This was me and my husband first cruise and we loved it. The staff had the best customer service we had ever received our Stateroom attendant Jonathan was top notch he attended to every need we had. The food was delicious every time we ate and the food never ran low or out. The activities on the Ship are amazing. Can't wait to go on our next cruise! We also was please that we were able to work out everyday. We loved Cozumel it was breath taking. Costa Maya was okay. We really enjoyed the Comedy shows and the Captains dinner. We are planning on bringing our 7 year old grandson one day just for the experience. The fruit was delicious each time we had it. All the wait staff was clean and friendly. The Casino staff was great as well. We also enjoyed the shops all the young lady's were very polite and friendly. Read Less

I was invited on this cruise by my cousin, it was a girls trip. I had been on a cruise before but it had been awhile and I didn't particularly plan to cruise again but so glad I did! We had a blast, the cruise director- Bobby- was amazing and we barely had a minute of down time the whole trip. Plenty of activities for everyone in our group whether solo or together. Our wait staff was fantastic, we had Ygnacio and Bishal for the duration of the trip and they did a fabulous job of making sure everyone enjoyed their dinner and got plenty to eat- too much! Our cabin steward Rodney was a sweetheart and went out of his way to keep our cabin ordered and get us whatever we requested. The photographers were plentiful and ready to join in the fun, we had 2- Rexwil and David who even got in the pictures with us! So much fun! We purchased the Key as a group and embarkation and debarkation couldn't have been easier. On departure day we were escorted right to the front of the line and sent to the dining room for a lovely lunch while hundreds of other cruisers were still waiting to get on the ship. I had the drink package so plenty of contact with the bartenders and I think they did pretty good work, I never waited long to get a drink and for the most part they were really good. All in all a very memorable vacation and one I can't wait to do again! Read Less

My Husband and I were so excited to try a Royal Caribbean cruise. We have been on many cruises in the past but always with Carnival. We were told by many of our friends that we would never go back to Carnival after cruising with Royal Caribbean. This statement was false in every way. When we first boarded the ship we went directly to our cabin. Wow we thought the Carnival cabins and bathrooms were small until we entered EOS cabin. There was barely enough space to change clothes and your knees hit the wall in the bathroom. Also not to mention that the bathroom smelled like urine. We are 40 plus yr old adults who love arcades. We bought a package for 80. To get 100 for the arcade. When we finally located the arcade we were highly disappointed. There was only 1 game and 5 or 6 crane games. After spending 30 minutes in line at the customer service desk We were given a refund. We were so use to the amazing arcades on Carnival boats that our disappoint snow balled from there. On carnival ships there are several locations for dinning and they have a system to where everyone waits their turn. The windjammer, without a doubt, was the worst organized buffet we have ever seen!!! It was a mad house. People jumping in front of you left and right. Since there wasn't a lot of options to eat on this ship we tried to make due. Once we finally found a table to dine we were interrupted multiple times by servers trying to up sell you on Chops fine dinning. Since we're not meat eaters it was so annoying to be asked over and over again. The food was the worse cruise food we had ever had. The only thing we liked about the windjammer was the attendant who stood out front and made you sanitize your hands before entering. There was barely any activities to do on this ship. Carnival had separate dance clubs, comedy clubs, piano bars, and shows every night in the theater. Since everyone highly appraised RC we expected so much more then what Carnival had to offer. I know most people don't watch tv in their rooms while on a cruise but we like to retire in our room for some rest and relaxing. Unfortunately there is nothing to watch on their tv's unless you want to watch previous recording of what happened in the theater the night before. Carnival arltleast had a few channels and pay per view. We streamed net flix on our phone and watch tv on our phone that way. For 6 months we were so excited to try RC but felt like a floating time share. It was the worst cruise we had ever taken. The only thing we know for sure is we will book our next cruise back with Carnival. Read Less

My husband and I have never been on a cruise before. There is not enough communication by the ship or crew. We didn't know the first thing about cruising and or the charges. This was the most expensive vacation we have every been on we suffered charges after charges. Would you like internet? charge... would you like a better dinner than the buffet? charge. Would you like to do something when you get off the boat, charge, Park your car, charge. You cannot even find a private beach within walking distance in Nassau, they are all private and you have to pay even to go to the beach. You want to play bingo, charge. Not enough to do on this ship!! Also don't go to Nassau Bahamas , dirty stinky and you get bombarded by locals to buy stuff the minute you get off the ship. The beds are hard, we had a horrible loud noise in our tiny cabin for two nights before it stopped!! We didn't get much sleep Read Less

I booked this cruise at the last minute, about a month before it departed as a short spring break trip for my wife and daughter who is a freshman in college. My wife and I hadn't been on a cruise in over 25 years and weren't sure what to expect or how our daughter would enjoy it, however, a good time was had by all. Getting on and off the ship was really easy. We arrived at the ship about 5 hours before departure so going through the security and boarding lines only took maybe 15 minutes. We did the self-check out getting off the ship, and since our cabin was on the same deck and near the gangway, we got off in literally 10 minutes, super fast. If you are looking for the latest and greatest ship, this one isn't for you. The exterior of the ship showed it's age, and the interior decor is a bit dated, but it was very clean and comfortable so the appearance didn't matter to us. There was always a place to sit in the bars and public areas. The pool deck chairs in the sun filled up fast but we were able to find some. And we found plenty that were in the sun that were secluded away from the pool area if that is your thing. The pool bars are crowded, so at peak times it took time to get served. (Tip: Look for the waiters carrying the trays of rum runners and you'll get served quicker and it's a bit cheaper!) We did not buy any of the drink packages and this turned out to be best for us since we were going to be off the ship for two shore excursions, even with the high individual drink prices - $10-12 for a rum punch type drink, $~18 for two Blue Moon beers, $7.50 for two cokes. All prices include the mandatory gratuity. If you don't specify you just want the free water you will get $4 Evian water. I was under the impression that "cheap" bottled water was free, but that was not the case as on the day of shore excursions they had staff selling it for $2 a bottle. Then at other times you couldn't find it anywhere and had to stand in line to get water in a glass. This lack of free water would be my biggest complaint on this ship. The ship has a nice gym which we gazed at through the window but never entered. :-) However we did play ping pong, shuffleboard, and corn hole. The ship also has a climbing wall and bungee trampoline activities, and baby sitting if you need that. We purchased the wi-fi package and found it to be fast and reliable for the little times we used it. We also found the varied entertainment options on the ship to be enjoyable. Some were a bit cheesy like — Name that Lyric, 70's classic rock trivia, battle of the sexes, but still fun. The comedian show was very funny, and the RC singers and performers put on a good show. Basically if you like song and dance numbers, you'll be able to find something in your genre from the 60's to today playing somewhere on the ship. The late night pool deck dance parties were filled with young and old dancers and played classic dance tunes from the 80's, 90's, and 00's. Nightly movies were shown in the early evening on a big screen on deck. "Venom" and "The house with a clock in the walls" were playing during our cruise. The casino was easy to navigate and not too smokey and the wait at the bar was acceptable. The buy-in's at the tables were only $5 which was nice. The onboard shops had an assortment of go pro cameras, clothing, jewlery, and watches. My daughter bought a nice watch for her boyfriend at a significant discount, and of course tax and duty-free. We ate all our meals in the WindJammer cafe because our daughter isn't a big foodie so didn't want to be on a schedule, get dressed up, and take up to 2 hours for the meal. I can imagine the food was great though, because the Windjammer offerings were fantastic. Lots of different types of food and desserts to choose from. There was also a 24/7 soft serve ice cream available and pizza at night. We were never hungry on the trip. We took two shore excursions. One to Atlantis AquaAdventure in Nassau. The other snorkeling at the private beach Paradise Cove directly through Paradise Cove Snorkeling on Grand Bahama island. This was because our stop at CocoCay was cancelled due to construction so we docked at Freeport instead. Not sure how long the construction will last, but I would highly recommend this if you don't go to CocoCay. However, I would not recommend the Atlantis AquaAdventure. It is not a good value given the high cost (almost $500 for 3 people) and relatively short length of time at the venue. The Atlantis resort is massive, and it takes a while to shuttle to the resort, walk through the casino and grounds to get to the water slide areas, find a place for your stuff, and stand in the lines. There are 8 large slides there and we only had time to do 6 of them in 4 1/2 hours. Overall, this was a really nice trip that had something for my whole family. I would take another cruise again. We did choose one night at Chops Grill and it exceeded our expectations. Our jr suite was wonderful, comfortable and clean! The bathroom is spacious! We enjoyed every single minute of our cruise!!! We definitely love RCI cruise ships and will come back again!! Coco Cay is beautiful and easily accessible. We did purchase “the key” and it was well worth it! Very easy check in and boarding! Overall this cruise was excellent and relaxing! The staff really does go above and beyond to please! I would suggest purchasing packages for excursions and the “Key” before the day of the cruise, but they have better deals on drink and dinner packages once you board the ship. Be sure to pre-register online! Everything will go smoothly! Read Less

We went with brother and his wife who usually cruise Carnival. We have been trying to get them onto RC for several years. Well this was not a ship for first impressions. The staff tried, but with the limited resources, they couldn't make up for the many deficiencies. The ship is very dated, with a lot of rust and dirt (even the fake plants in the solarium were very dirty & dusty. Looked like they hadnt been cleaned in years. They were working on the main pool deck and rails (sanding) every day. blocking off available chairs, even on sea days. We had a suite, so sufficient room except there are only 2 electrical outlets in the entire suite. Very inadequate for cell phones, tablet, coffee maker, hair dryer (and we bring a string of mini-lights for Christmas cruises. Security kept one bag as I had a multi-outlet plug in it which they kept and said that maintenance would provide one that had been tested by them. Never received. They didnt tell me until I asked the room attendant and she said that all luggage had been delivered and to go to deck one security. No lobster offered in main dining room, even on formal night. It seems every cruise they offer less and less. We are Diamond status and have begun trying other cruise lines, last year we did Princess and enjoyed very much. I just booked one for February on MSC, especially with their status match program. Brother and his wife were very disappointed with their balcony cabin also. Not a good first impression. Read Less

My past sailing experience was on Liberty of the Seas, a larger ship. The service with Royal Caribbean is always top notch. They really do put the passenger first. There was a nice variety of activities. Enchantment is a smaller ship so expect everything else to be smaller as well. Smaller arcade, gym, and other shop amenities. My ocean view cabin was nice. Our steward kept the room tidy and would do anything I asked. He created towel animals for us daily. Windjammer buffet was a smidge disappointing but I also do t generally eat buffet style food but didn’t want to use he main dining room for breakfast and lunch. Dinner in the main dining room was nice. Wasn’t alway pleased with my entree but I’d still give it 5 stars for service and effort. I’d say get a few of the appetizers and extra desserts. Yum! They did have a nice selection. I do suggest getting in the porter line on disembark day, it goes way faster. Totally worth a tip of a few dollars. Do not schedule and pay for an airport transfer if your flight is before 1pm. Chances are slim that you’ll make it on time. Speaking from experience. 12pm flight but didn’t arrive to airport till 12pm. Excursions are a little pricey for the Bahamas cruise. Wait for Black Friday sakes if possible. Save yourself the headache. In all, I give enchantment 4 stars. Read Less

My wife and I are long time RCCL cruisers. We are Diamond status and are always happy with RCCL. We booked this cruise because one of our cruising buddies was having a birthday while on board. After watching the price, we ended up booking interior state room #3155 expecting a normal interior stateroom like we enjoyed on numerous occasions. By the time we got into our room after muster and waiting for our other traveling companions we had to quickly get ready for dinner. We did notice a pole/pipe in the room near the bed but because we were rushing we didn't stop to analyze it. Actually joked about it. Then when we returned to the room late that evening it was quite apparent that this pole hindered getting into the bed and also severely obstructed the view of the TV. Hmmm …. what do we do about this at this late hour. Immediately before breakfast the next morning, we went to Guest Services and complained. No rooms available to move us to. We complained that a room like this needed full disclosure before the guest accepted it because of the pole, obstruction and difficulty getting in and out of bed. Then we advised them about the constant squeak all night that ear buds and the pillow over our heads slightly deafened. Guest Services said they would investigate. Our room attended advised us that a Supervisor had come to our room and our sweet attended asked us if we were mad at him. We assured him that we weren't and asked if he put the pole in the room. He said NO and actually admitted that it made it very difficult for him to make up the bed. We laughed with him and said if you had put it there then we'd be mad at you. A day goes by without any contact from Guest Services. Finally we get a call on the next to the last day asking us if we wanted to be moved to another room. We said NO because we were already thru more than half the cruise. They said they had been trying to reach us but we were never in our room. Dah … this is a cruise after all. We asked why they didn't leave a message on the phone. No reply to that question. They said they left us two notes outside our door to contact them. No notes. Finally, after much conversation they gave us a discount towards our next cruise and their apologies. Lesson learned … when booking a cruise ASK questions about your stateroom. The only dumb question is the one you don't ask. Overall, entertainment was good, the singer Lou Gazzara, was the best. The casino was smoker smelly and a turn off. The food in fine dining was great and Windjammer is always consistently good. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Read Less

Vacation post 3weeks in America finishing with back to back cruises. Maybe we should of realised that an itinerary which only went to Coco Cay and Nassau x2 in one week was not the best. The ship itself is very tired and well past it’s best with the gym equipment needing maintenance to the Spotlight lounge being closed ( short staffed?). A karaoke night in a bar which was the through way from the casino to centrum being packed nowhere to sit with people trying to walk through, when the very large Spotlight lounge was closed, supposingly for a private function ( every night?). Entertainment was mediocre with the singers and dancers looking like they were wearing hand -me -downs and the 70’s night YMCA !!!! It’s the first time I’ve had a cabin on any ship where there was not a fridge and an interior were you had to climb over the bed to get in! The boys & girls of the catering service in the Windjammer and MDR + the housekeeping were as marvellous as ever and made the vacation special but come on Royal Caribbean this ship is not up to standard, you cannot keep building the likes of Harmony etc and expect people to put up with this tub. My wife and I chose this cruise for my 50th birthday. This was my ninth cruise and her 11th - all in six years. We've cruised Celebrity, Royal, Carnival and Norwegian and loved them all. The best vacation we have ever taken was on the Freedom of the Seas in 2013. Consequently, we had high expectations for this trip. Many of them were met but I'm starting to think the class of ship you sail does indeed make a big difference. Ultimately, we had a fantastic experience but Enchantment is showing her age and for whatever reason, there seemed to be a lot of smoking areas on board which was very different than on any of the other ships we've sailed. Cruising during hurricane season is definitely cheaper (worth it) but if you think the ship is going to be empty given the season and the fact that kids are back in school, think again. I learned this firsthand. We were in stateroom 8593. The best part of the room is it was very, very cool in temperature. A nice change from the Carnival ship we sailed in June (the Magic). However, unlike the serenity of the Magic, 8593 is above the 5th deck Centrum where they program music until midnight daily. Since our room was first on the hallway outside the center area, it was like being in the middle of a concert. It was bad. When we called guest services they didn't understand our concern so they came upstairs to see if they could hear it. There is NO WAY you could miss it. They offered us earplugs but honestly, we never used them. They should just figure out how to install a door of some type off the open area which will minimize the noise. We just figured out the rest of the week that we had to stay up late to avoid the issue nightly. Our stateroom attendant, Sylvio, was excellent. The room was always clean. The storage was good but the shower is unbelievably small. Not a problem, mind you, but just be aware. The wonderful thing about a smaller ship like the Enchantment is everything seems so accessible. Even though we used the stairs most of the time, we seldom had to wait for elevators and from deck eight, everything we needed was either four decks up or down. That was really nice. Dinner in the My Fair Lady dining room was good. We were seated at a table for eight and enjoyed our dinner companions very much. We really lucked out. Lady, our lead server, was outstanding. The food is plentiful, the service was unbelievably good but we've decided the food on Carnival is better. Entertainment was excellent. The shows are much better aboard RCI than they are on Norwegian or Carnival. This was the first cruise where we actually liked the comedian. I don't recall his name but even the adult show wasn't too much and it was indeed funny. The pools were crowded so we didn't bother but I did the climbing wall and the bounce/trampoline thing which were great fun. The Windjammer is to be avoided at all costs. The design makes zero sense for all those people and we never could figure it out. The food is tasty but it's so unpleasant that we ate our breakfasts in the main dining room each morning. Coco Cay was an absolutely perfect day. The beach, lunch and water were unreal. We had been before and I was looking forward to it again. It did not disappoint. I will remember that day for a very long time. When they open the "Perfect Day at Coco Cay" experience next year, I will be racing to go back. 'Crusin Susan' was our CD and she was hilarious. We liked her very much. The staff overall was very strong, the fitness facilities and spa were nice and the theater was actually bigger than we have seen which meant seating wasn't an issue. The Love and Marriage Show, the Quest and other staples of cruising were all there and we loved them all. Overall, we had a very good trip but I probably would not sail the Enchantment again. It's time for a dry dock and some rethinking of space usage on board. However, I'm addicted to cruising (it's absolutely the best value vacation out there) and while on board we booked for next year aboard the Adventure of the Seas to New England and Canada. RCI offers a great cruise experience - all the lines we have sailed do - so no brand loyalty here. Can't wait till next year! Read Less

I have been on one other ship; Freedom of the Seas 3 years ago and loved it. Me and my mother went on this ship last week. I was hoping she could enjoy the same things I had on my Royal Caribbean cruise. We did have a great time. But, there were some things in need of being repaired. We had at least 2-3 broken electric outlets in our room and the vanity in the bathroom was scratched up. The shower was very small with a curtain; not a hard door. There was a place on the outside rail on one of the upper decks that was taped off because it was broken. There were 4 coke machines. 3 of them were right next to each other. One of those never worked. The others were frequently out of ice. It would be nice if they were more spread out and easier to access from different areas. This is the first time I have never had the choice of lobster tail on the formal dining room menu. They put some "premium" options from Chops grill on the menu for an additional fee. Most of the entrees that I chose were good, but a few werent. I really dont want to spend more money when we have already paid for food beforehand. The crew was extremely nice and helpful. WE loved our waiters. Even though we were stuck with " My time dining"; we were able to have a standing scheduled table and time every night when we asked. We enjoyed the singing/dancing shows in the Orpheum and there was a comedian that was mediocre. We loved Cococay beautiful beach and nice buffet set-up! We have been on Carnival before and switched to RCCL. We live in Cocoa and the port is right there in Port Canaveral. This was 4 day cruise and we had planned it 6 months in advance hoping for good weather..Man...........what a great time.... The food was wonderful. The crew was ALL polite and accommodating. We met some more wonderful cruisers along the way...We watched the shows.....The tribute to Whitney Houston by Stephaney Paker was incredible.(.#divaoftheseas ) We drink Miami Vice's and Strawberry Dackeries and those were totally awesome. We had so much fun with watching the goings on in the center area, the music, the fun and dancing was fantastic. The Staff Flag showing was mind blowing. All these people from different countries and the work so very hard to give everyone all the want for a great time..It truly was a fantastic time. My wife and I were are semi-retired enjoy the boat so very much. I were will always go on RCCL because of the people and the treatment. The island Coco Kay was fantastic and I i got to be reunited with a friend whom I got to see again after 4 years...Rollin - You are a brother Man...See you again soon...I hope.. Getting On and Off the ship before and after the cruise was extremely quick and easy. The people were friendly and awesome. We have cruised many times with RCCL and are Platinum members and I can tell you.......It never gets Old. This is a wonderful place to take a vacation. Our Cabin Stewart, Leroy was amazing. He made out stay wonderful..The dInners were great...We did not get to go to chops but maybe next time.. We went over to Atlantis and played at the Casino walked the shops. What a relaxing time.. The day at sea was a great time to reflect on how nice the cruise was and just chill out on the boat. we hit the casino, broke even, we watched the days events and it was such a great time...We will be going back hoping in November... If you have never cruised before, i would highly reccommend starting out on a 3-4 day cruise.these boats are big enough to get you to understand how cruising works. The 7-10 cruises are a blast and something to go towards. But for a quick, need a complete break, elegant fun and easy time on a ship this is the way to go... All cruise have to deal with weather. it is the one factor no one can control but the rest of it.......turn off your phone, your ipad and tablet and just have some good ole fashion fun and Dance the nights away.......Thats what we did ....thats what we will do again...awesome cruise...10 OUT OF A 10..Thank You RCCL Read Less

The start of our cruise was a bit rocky, the muster drill took incredibly long to begin and seemed quite disorganized, also there seemed to be an issue with their intercom system as not all announcements could be heard around the ship (we didn't even hear that the rooms were ready while we were at the Windjammer). The waiting staff in the My Fair Lady dining room were nice but the food service took incredibly long (at least an hour to get our entrees after ordering), so dinner every night took at least 2 hours .The food was subpar, but I guess that's to be expected with such mass production. I loved the ranger cookies, they were delicious, however the Windjammer kept running out of them. There's a lot of entertainment on the ship however, we didn't get to take in any shows. My 6 year old absolutely loved the Adventure Ocean, kid's club; the workers were wonderful with the kids and kept them entertained. My 6yo didn't want the cruise to end, she had a blast. PS-Please avoid the "cheese" sauce for the nachos, it was the most repulsive thing. The "cheese" tasted sweet with a strong nutmeg aftertaste... YUCK! Read Less

This was the most amazing cruise that I have ever been on with going on Royal Caribbean. We enjoyed every stop onboarding experience was amazing food was excellent and the cleanliness of the boat was in Tip-Top shape. It is definitely family-friendly and also offers things for adults married or single to do as well. If you are looking for a quick getaway it suits you for 3 days and offers amazing service from start to finish. Also the port sandwich we stopped in the Bahamas and also cococay where excellent the excursions are great it was easy to follow you couldn't get lost and also there was tons of food, shopping, and beaches to go to and just relax. It was nice to go on the boat after and watch movies on the top deck floor and participate and the different events they had, such as contest, dancing Under the Stars, and rock climbing. Read Less

High Points: great bar staff, this itinerary has very late all aboard times, so we got to have huge full days! Low Points: 1: main dining room food is really terrible. We tried several different options, seafood, beef, pasta and Chicken. All truly terrible. We also got sat at a HUGE table by the door. There were two of us. It was kind of embarrass to have everyone staring at us going in and out. The Windjammer has a ton of options, many of which really were fantastic. Definitely better than the dining room. Cococay: fabulous as always. It’s my personal favorite private island. We saw two nurse sharks, a stingray, barracuda and many smaller fishes. We rented a beach bed. It was a fabulous upscale day. You are driven to that beach from the tender. The beds are very nice and comfortable. The views are amazing. Lunch is delivered to you and there’s four liters of Evian on ice waiting for you. I will say that the lunch delivered was not as good as the food I would have gotten on the buffet. I had fish tacos. They’d been sitting for a while, so the shells were part stale and part soggy and fell apart. Almost everyone was there to relax and enjoy some peace on the private beach... except the family next to us. There was a ton of screaming and wrestling and lively party behavior. I don’t think it’s wrong, just odd to come to this setting away from the party where everyone else was trying to relax and enjoy the quiet. Definitely inspired us to snorkel more than we had planned to. There is a bar right there for us with no line. There is waiter service, but it was really infrequent, despite starting the day with a nice tip. They also never added ice to the open coolers with the water in them, so the water got very warm. Nassau: we scheduled a tour to Clifton Heritage National Park. It was amazing and a great deal as well. I’m planning to review that in detail on TripAdvisor. As usual getting on and off the boat in port and in Port Canaveral was very easy and fast. RC definitely wins on that above Disney and NCL. The boat itself was very nice. It is showing some signs of age, but I didn’t think it was a problem. The running track is up on top. Which is very nice. You get to see the fun and listen to music while running. But it is very hot and sunny, so remember a hat! The gym was medium sized and had lots of equipment. I didn’t work out there, but I certainly would have. The solarium is the adults area with a pool. It has a bar and the park cafe. It is warm due to the glass ceiling and all around, but it is air conditioned. So is not terriblly Hot. Very nice place to relax. The bands were all great. Great song selection, very fun! I found the volume to be so incredibly loud that I had to shout at my husband if we were anywhere near the live music, so I didn’t spend as much time enjoying the bands as I would have liked. The bar service was very quick on this ship, which was a lovely surprise after terribly slow service on the Majesty last year. The drink quality is SIGNIFICANTLY better in the specialty bars as opposed to the pool deck. It’s not a problem for simple drinks, but anybof the delicious specialty cocktails are best to get indoors. We really enjoyed the trivia games this time. We don’t normally participate in them. They were fun and lively. The cruise director was Fantastic! The prizes were really lame though. We won one and got a pen. The adult game show style activities at night were fantastic. I laughed so hard I cried at every one of them. Truly a high point. The smoke smell is very strong on the deck with the casino. For those who don’t like it, there are doors to walk around on the deck. But on one side it’s the outdoor smoking section. So if you prefer to avoid the smoke, use the side with the even number muster stations. Read Less

This was my first cruise and I was expecting the ship to be modern and swanky but the ship itself is very dated, also rusty on the outside. We didn't opt to upgrade our room as we weren't cruising for the stateroom but I will add that the queen/king bed is actually two twin beds pushed together and not that comfy. The food was overall very good but having different options offered each day would have been nicer. I felt somewhat bored while aboard because there wasn't much to do except eat, drink, and gamble. The entertainment was "eh" and somewhat cheesy. The ports of call were exactly like you would expect...Nassau: hounded to death to buy stuff and CocoCay, the RC island, was really more of the same experience as the boat, only with a beach. To be fair, a friend had planned the trip, I just went along. IF I ever cruise again, I would pay as close of attention to the ship details as the ports of call. The one thing I would add is that the staff were all AMAZING! Lastly, please know that while your trip is paid in advance, drink package included, you will be assessed a per person daily gratuity charge as well as housekeeping fee so be prepared for a bill at the end. The boat was so much fun and I wish we had one more full day of cruising. It would have been nice to spend more time at CocoCay instead of Nassau. Next time I know to stay on the boat instead of walking around the Nassau shops. I wish I knew that you had to choose an embarkation time and reserve it. We didnt get on the boat until 1:30! and they started at 10:30. I thought it was first-come first-serve. So hard to choose which activities you want to do, or just go sit by the pool or at the bar! Definitely try to pinpoint some activities you want to do and set a phone reminder so you dont feel like you missed out! This boat doesnt have a whole lot of dining options so if you want lots of different food go on a larger boat. Such a cool experience Read Less

We would like to experience Royal Caribbean since this was not our first cruise and it was so much fun. Anyway we would like to experience a bigger and new ship. I missed more fun for teens but in overall it was ok Ship and navigation was perfect even when we passed a huge storm but it is a little old and there are some details you can notice specially when I compare with Norwegian ( we did two times) but entertainment team was so funny and crazy and dinning service amazing that we are willing to experience again a Royal Caribbean. Internet services are quite expensive and variety of shop for first need stuff (shampoo for example) was not available so that was something that surprised me a bit. Again you can solve this at port but it would be good to have it on board. Also shore excursions were a little expensive for the destinations we touched. But as a conclusion it was great experienced Royal Caribbean Read Less

We have cruised 4 times in the past 6 years. This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise. We chose this cruise because it was inexpensive -- we weren't looking for anything fancy, just a fun getaway. We were not disappointed in our choice! The Enchantment is definitely showing its age, with some rust visible around the ship. However, that was overshadowed by the top notch entertainment and activities on board. The staff, from the cleaning crew to the activities crew, bartenders, food services, everyone, was friendly, polite and made sure that our trip was easy, carefree and fun! As an adult couple without children, we were happy to have the Solarium as our pool destination. It was quiet and not too crowded. The Centrum was a great feature - we loved being able to enjoy the evening entertainment in such a large, open venue. We enjoyed the headliner shows in the Orpheum every night. The food in the Windjammer was delicious and the variety gave us plenty to choose from. The other passengers were all very friendly, too. What a great trip! We plan to cruise with Royal Caribbean again! Read Less

We really enjoyed this cruise. While the ship is older, the condition was fine, and very clean. The staff and crew were so friendly and made the whole cruise a fun adventure. Bobby the cruise directer was fantastic and made the on board activities so much fun with his enthusiasm. He also publicly acknowledged the diverse staff and their hard work on the cruise which was very nice, and made everyone feel like a big cruise family. We loved the diversity of the people from all over the world taking this cruise and made friends from India, Spain and many other countries. The food in the main dining room was not that great, and the service was slow so we ended up eating in windjammer for almost every meal - we thought it was better quality and were able to get in and out quickly and at more flexible times. We had dinner at Chops one night and it was worth the extra money - very good food, quiet atmosphere, and great service. There were a lot of extra things they tried to up sell us on - drink packages, photos, etc. We did not get the drink package and were thankful we didn’t because just didn’t even come close to spending that much on alcohol. (Paid as we went). Overall we had a wonderful, relaxing vacation with just the right the balance of fun activities and relaxation. Read Less

The embarkation and disembarkation was very quick maybe 15 minutes tops. The entertainment was awesome. Suzanny had one heck of a voice, beautiful. I enjoyed all the shows but I think my favorite was the comedian. Food in the Mdr was really good but wish you didn't have to pay extra for lobster, and surf and turf. The windjammer had good food also but it was so busy and crowded. The made to order omelets were delicious. My only complaint was the 300 girls celebrating their quinceanera that blocked the stairways. I enjoyed the solarium pool for adults only. We went to the park cafe nightly for the pizza and fruit cups. The ship was definitely showing her age. There was rust on the floor of our balcony and the cover around the flush button on our toilet kept falling off but it was clean and they were painting and doing alot of maintenance on the ship. I would definitely sail on the Emerald again Read Less
