This is day one with many disappointments. The panoramic balcony suite is misleading. It's a room with a large window. They installed wood flooring in order to say "balcony"! We tried to upgrade to a suite, but they wanted $2400+ to upgrade. Never believe their pictures.

Background Information. We booked this cruise before the pandemic, originally to take place in Sep/Oct 2020. Owing to Covid it was postponed twice and we eventually upgraded and re-booked for April 2022. The Emerald/Scenic staff we dealt with were excellent and really helpful.

Great friendly staff starting with the people who met us at the airport. Getting to the ship was seamless and easy. Everyone from the cabin steward to meal servers to the activity director was friendly and helpful. We were kept well informed every day of scheduled dockings and events.
