North Cape

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Emerald Princess

Enjoyable cruise, comfortable ship - the real star of the cruise was the Norwegian scenery, particularly the wild and remote North Cape, and the midnight sun. The ship's staff were superb, polite, helpful, doing everything they could. I had an inside cabin, fine, comfortable and quiet. Food was very good, and queues not long - with the exception of the slightly dysfunctional and badly managed ...

Excellent North Cape Cruise

We chose this cruise because it included the North Cape of Norway, the northernmost tip of Europe and went to several ports we had not been to. Embarkation was excellent as was disembarkation. Minimal waiting time to get on and our cabin was ready for us immediately. Our luggage arrived very quickly. We enjoyed this cruise 100%. The staff and the ship were first rate and it feels like a very ...

We have done lots of travelling but never to Northern Europe. We have been to Scandinavia but not to some of the other ports. Since parts of Europe are getting more dangerous we decided to go while it was still reasonably safe. It was cool and rainy some days but the amazing tours and scenery made up for the weather. Would highly recommend this cruise. All the excursions we took were above ...

Have always wanted to travel Scandinavia and was not disappointed. The embarkation went smoothly as did the disembarkation. Our cabin was roomy, clean at all times. Our cabin housekeeper wasnt exactly overfriendly but was pleasant. Didnt go out of his way to make the effort. Being our second cruise with Princess a little disappointed with the sit down dining. Food was not up to the standards of ...

Contrary to some of the reviews I have seen, I found the ship to be in excellent condition. All carpets and chairs looked new and all venues were well maintained. Embarkation and disembarkation both went very smoothly with no waiting at all for our group. The cabins which were both outside were spotless and well serviced throughout the cruise. Our room steward was called Joel and nothing ...

How to lose weight while you cruise

Friends invited us on this cruise, and it was lovely catching up with them. Norway is magnificent, beautiful scenery. Cruise was expensive so I was expecting great things. Unfortunately not. First drinks ordered were a fiasco, like dealing with dumb and dumber. Asked for a shandy and waiter didn't know what this was. So told him half beer half lemonade. Received half beer half ...

Emerald Princess, 2nd July 2016, Northern Europe. This was our 3rd cruise having been twice with P&O on Aurora in 2014 and Britannia in 2015. We won’t be using Princess again and I would like to share our experiences. I am sure plenty of people had an enjoyable week and I am pleased for you if you did. I found many things to be totally not up to standard and as such my review will not be ...

My wife and I went on the Baltic Cruise with Princess in July 2015. I had mixed feelings about it. We had previously gone on the Alaska cruise with Princess and it was wonderful. The Baltic Cruise was a good way to get a sampling of Scandinavian countries. The stateroom was comfortable, the staff was very helpful and the food, although a bit institutional, was good. Princess also added some ...

We were a party of two couples ages 66, we flew British Airways direct from LAX, First class so we would arrive fresh. Our luggage was lost by BA, very poor customer service, had us waiting 4 hours at the airport telling us that the luggage was there....it was found day 10 of our cruise. Princess Cruises was more than helpful, allowing free phone calls to British Airways, on several occasions, ...

I have cruised few times with RCL and Celebrity and this is first time in Princess. do not understand why so many good comments on this ship ? no way they said they prefer Princess than Celebrity, are they getting pay to write their comments ? this is not the real Princess I would have expected. stateroom is OK, however, we cannot find any smiles from the crews as much as we see from RCL and ...
