We won't cruise with Princess in the future

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Emerald Princess

We chose this cruise mainly because it was going through the Panama Canal which was fantastic, but unfortunately two of the original stops got cancelled, the stop in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua got cancelled just a short time after booking and Grand Cayman got cancelled as the swell was to bad for the tenders. Pros: All the staff were excellent The Medallion App seemed to work well The ...

I took a chance on Princess and they failed miserably

A little about me... I got hooked on cruising in August of 2022 when I was gifted a 4 night Bahamian cruise on the Disney Wish. Disney was great, but I was looking for something more adult oriented. I chose to cruise the Celebrity Apex and inside less than a year had also cruised Celebrity Constellation and Summit. No one ship or cruise will be perfect, but I was able to easily see that ...

What a Disappointment

Had been planning this cruise for a couple of years as a celebration for my retirement. This was our first Princess cruise because we had heard many good things about them and we were looking forward to something a bit more upscale than the fun ships but not a "premium" brand. First day our bags were never delivered to our cabin. I found them abandoned in the passageway about half of the ship ...

Very/no-EXTREMELY disappointing onboard experiences

Review for a Caribbean - All Cruise on Emerald Princess

We have been loyal princess customers (don't insult us by calling is "guests"- we pay for the experience) for 25+ cruises. We chose this cruise for its itinerary and it being on the emerald, a ship on which prior cruises were top notch. This cruise deserves top notches only for the stateroom service and accomodations, embarkation, and debarkation services. We felt crowded everywhere. It was ...

Crowded venues, uninformed/unwilling dining staff to accomodate on what has been a favorite Princess ship

We like to escape the dreary Midwest Winter in March or April. Having had excellent experiences on the Emerld among our prior 30 Princess cruises, we chose this one because of the inclusion of Trinidad (first time) and previously enjoyed Caribbean ports. Great Delta flights between home and FLL was another attraction. First the praises for our mini-suite cabin; maintenance was excellent. Only ...

Spent half the cruise in isolation due to covid.

We choose this cruise because it was going to two islands that we had not been to before. Before the cruise started those islands were substituted with other islands that we had been to many times. To start we were late leaving Fort Lauderdale because of problems with the ship. We also had problems at the first three islands we visited with one being a fuel delivery problem. The fuel was supposed ...

Emerald Princess could be better April 2-16, 2022.

This review is for the Emerald Princess sailing April 2-16, 2022. I just completed the Pricess survey that was sent to me, However they limit the comment characters and because of this I was unable to provide them with information that could help them and qualify my rating numbers. There is no general comments section at the end of the survey, they just want to crunch numbers. They offered me ...

First Big Princess Disappointment

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Emerald Princess

We had the Panama Canal on our bucket list. Since we sailed many times with Princess (Platinum members) we chose the Emerald Princess even tho it was an older updated ship. There were so many issues. Our room C604 was always warm. We talked to the desk and room attendant and while courteous and encouraging it remained warm for the whole 10 days. We paid for drink package but we’re told every day ...

Ship, inside and out

Review for a South America Cruise on Emerald Princess

User Avatar

The outside of this ship is well designed. Not so the inside. First the good stuff. If you like to walk a ship's promenade deck, this one is very nice. It's wide and goes all the way around the ship if you climb a few stairs, giving you great 360 views of the sea and sky. You can do the same on deck 16, also with a few stairs. The inside is different story. The design is flawed, mainly ...

Nice ship, lovely crew, shame about the food!

This was our first Princess cruise, we have done many cruises on other lines. We were really looking forward to trying a new cruise line but unfortunately we were very disappointed and would not sail with Princess again. The ship was nice, the same layout as P&O Azura and Ventura which we have sailed on before. The crew were good, friendly and helpful. The food was really awful, we ...
