Lots of covid
"My biggest issue with the cruise has been my inability to get answers from Princess about the future cruise credit that I was promised for days lost due to being quarantined.Based on my overall experience and complete lack of post cruise customer service I have no desire to cruise with Princess ever again (this was my second Princess cruise and I have many cruises on other brands)...."Read More

Lots of covid

Review for a British Isles & Western Europe Cruise on Emerald Princess

This was a British Isles cruise not Alaska and we chose it because it allowed us to attend the Edinburgh Military Tattoo while docked in Glasgow. This would have been wonderful except that I missed all of the Scotland ports due to being quarantined for Covid (my husband did get to go and he said it was great) and my husband also missed several ports due to Covid (he tested + a few days after me). ...

From good to bad....Kids club amazing!! My 5 year old son loved it and could not wait to get back there. Lots of free stuff for him with all the activities. Service on board excellent. Food nothing special or amazing, seamed to have run out of some stuff mid cruise in the bufffet. Entertainment ok. Charged for shuttles and transfers to destinations not great. Ship shore excursions extortionate. ...

Ports visited on the scheduled route is why we chose this cruise and never cruised on Princess so thought it would be of a higher standard. We were disappointed with several aspects including tendering in 3 ports which took away an hour on either end of touring and the ports were not near the attractions or cities of interest. The food was mediocre. Overall it was not bad but not worth the price ...

Covid.,.. the new unwelcome leveller for future cruises.....

Why the above..... because my wife and I with 20 cruises under our belt, and a good percentage with Princess, have today completed what was to be a tester cruise to see if it would be feasible under covid..... Sad to report, much as we love Princess and cruising, ...no ... no no... Why ? Well the ethos has changed, people have changed , enthusiasm and personal interaction has changed, although ...

Great except for the rude guest service employee who ruined my day.

This was my husband's and I first cruise celebrating an anniversary. We live in LA and flew to Vancouver to take the cruise from there. We arrived to Vancouver two days before the cruise and had a great time exploring the city, we also had a trip to "Squamish" which I highly recommend. Day of the cruise we arrived at the port around 12:00pm, checking in was easy and smooth, we found out that ...

This was a pretty unremarkable cruise. The ship was full to capacity and you could feel it. Too many people for the public areas to handle, it felt crowded most of the time. The ship is pleasantly decorated and clean. The dining room was very busy and the food was average, bordering on disappointing. The buffet was also very busy with not enough tables to handle the number of guests. The ...

Great Cruise, Bad Service

The ports were awesome and the dining staff were also great. The room stewards were lazy and only did what they had to. The bed fell on me and I got "sorry". No special treatment on this cruise, no towel animals or anything extra for sure, just the bare minimum. Food was ok but not a lot of variety. Buffet was small and had most of the same food every night. Dining room staff was great! You would ...

My friend invited me to travel with her family group to celebrate our birthdays. The Family choose the cruise line, so I was not involved in the decision of a cruise line or ship. Their travel agent only cruises on Princess. This was my second cruise to the Inner Passage. First was on Celebrity (fabulous!). I was falsely under the impression that Princess is the top of the line in cruising. I was ...

My sister's husband died this year and my other sister and I took her on the cruise of her dreams to Alaska. Our ages are 79, 78 and 75. I love Princess Cruise lines and have made the trip 2X before. The embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly and we maneuvered in and out quickly. The dining staff was exceptionally friendly, prompt and accommodating. The entertainment was not as ...

The cruise was part of my husband's bucket list. He loves Alaska and thought it would be a great way to introduce me to the state's beautiful scenery, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The experiences on the ship were a bit different. I'm sure the staff are overworked, and probably have very little time off, but when you save for something this special, you expect to be treated a little better than I ...
