First time on Princess. It felt like "old folks" day at the casino. Average age was pushing 70. The ship itself was very chopped up. Not one single deck to walk around the entire ship. The only deck for outdoor walking was just below the lifeboats and closed down half the time for painting, etc. Couldn't they have done that during the Covid shutdown? It was only possible to get from aft to ...
I choose this cruise because wanted to do the Panama Canal it was our first time with Princess and will be the last time.
The food was terrible with no variety with lots of junk food deep fried
We like fine dining there were none
It’s started at the airport pick up 3 hrs late and 2 hrs to embark cruise we were supposed to leave at 4 pm and left at 8.30
Very disorganized.
They left ...
Getting on the ship was terrible, people were waiting over 2 hours just to get inside the building. They were only letting in 2-3 people at a time. The overall appearance of the ship was good. The food in the upstairs buffet was not very good. The dinning room had 2-3 good nights to choose from and the rest were not so good of choices. It's a good thing they have salmon on the everyday side of the ...
This was my longest ever cruise, at 15 nights aboard the Emerald Princess. I got to be reacquainted with the good, so-so, and bad in the 2+ weeks.
Embarkation was a nightmare. The inbound arrival was 5 hours late in disembarking. Check in actually stopped, as they had no place to put anymore people without violating the capacity for the fire escapes. Unfortunately, the Los Angeles vendor staff ...
Sailing through the Panama Canal was checked off my bucket list.
We selected this cruise through a local travel agent (not our regular agency) because of the itinerary and the deal. We got a mid-ship, port side balcony cabin on B (11th) deck. This was our first Princess cruise and we came away agreeing that it would probably be our last. But first, I will say some of what we did like about our ...
E733 Suite: Great view back of the ship. Suite class has free unlimited laundry service, exclusive great breakfast daily at Crown Grill, one time bar set up, large balcony/room
Crown Grill and Share: food and service excellent
Salty Dog: dissapointing
Club class dining: excellent service, food menu is the same as regular dining room but it has additional one dish they cook in the dining ...
We chose this cruise for the full Panama Canal transit. We were on board for the first 15 days from LA to Ft. Lauderdale. The ports visited were Puerto Vallarta, Huatulco Mexico, San Juan Del Sir Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, full transit of Canal, Cartegena. This was our 12th Princess cruise and as usual embarkation was smooth and efficient. We enjoyed all the ports and took several excursions ...
We took this cruise because of the itinerary to Hawaii.
Embarkation/ Disembarkation: Getting on was very easy and orderly due to the schedule given before hand.
Did the self-disembarkation. Very good and no crowds. For those not sure about disembarkation: If taking the scheduled disembarkation, luggage must be out in the hallway at suppertime the night prior. Everyone must be out of their ...
Took cruise in order to circumference South America. Good cruise except for the nonexistent wi-fy. No way to keep in contact with family except at the ports due to the ship’s poor internet during the entire cruise.
The main dining room meals got boring after second week. More variety for menu options on Lido. We did go to the specialty steak house restaurant for a Birthday celebration. We ...
The activity staff was great on the ship with Trivia and games 2 times a day. The ship did not have enough interesting enrichment sessions except for fellow passengers who did the bike ride from northern Alaska to bottom of South America. Their presentation was amazing!
The food on the cruise was just ok with dinners taking over 2 hours due to delays in the kitchen.
We did enjoy the ...
