Goodbye Princess

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Emerald Princess

We have now spent 78 nights on Princess ships. There will not be a 79th. We recently sailed on the 23 transatlantic/Northern European cruise on the Emerald Princess. Our package included wi-fi. gratuities and a PREMIUM drink package. The drink package might not be bad for a beer or spirits drinker, but if you favor wine like we do the package is pathetic. Most wines that are listed as ...

SOOO disappointed

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Emerald Princess

We chose this cruise for the destination, but sadly the Emerald Princess quickly became a disappointment. Lack of entertainment, sub-par food, and horrible dining room attire rules. Nice shorts and shirt NOT acceptable but jeans and sports jersey's are acceptable on a Formal night. NO entertainment pool side on either sea days. They turned the music on for ice-carving then quickly turned ...

Food quality and selection require improvements

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Emerald Princess

The food quality and selection is not what I have been used to on Princess cruise. Was served French fries with a filet mignon. Being on a Mediterranean cruise would have expected a better selection of seafood and fish. King prawns were the size of baby shrimps. Although the MichelAngelo waiting staff was really courteous and helpful. Pedro the head waiter was good to find us nice and ...

First time and could be our last. Disappointed!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Emerald Princess

We have cruised with other lines before and decided to try Princess based on a recommendation from our travel agent due to the specific ports we wanted to visit. We did a 14 day cruise with Princess Cruise lines. Never made it to Mykonos due to a storm. Food was average but nothing spectacular. Too many starchy foods. Not enough vegetables and fruits. Entertainment was just okay. Not enough ...

In desperate need of guest service training

This was my family's first cruise on Princess and I have to say we are extremely disappointed. We experienced so many issues, the most important being with poor quality of service. Here is some of what we experienced: - Nights two and three we had horrible (and by horrible I mean nonexistent) service at dinner. Our other tables in our large party were literally finishing their entrees and we ...

See a few things but experience none

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Emerald Princess

First Time Cruiser • Age 50s

Excursions too rushed and actually didn't see anything properly and definitely did not have the experience expected. Summary - 'Been there seen that' - Not 'Been there and done that'. Embarkation and disembarking were very well organised and efficient. Cleanliness was high and service from our steward was excellent. No issue service wise. Food was basically the same form day to day ...

Poor - Emerald Panama cruise - everyone is STILL talking about it :(

As you will read from many other reviewers; this was "the worse" Princess cruise I have been on -- and I have been on many, many Princess cruises. Something was terribly wrong with 50% of the interactions on this cruise. To be fair, I would like to give you a balanced overview. THE GOOD: Our room steward "Randy" was THE BEST we have ever had. He should be training for Princess on how to ...

We chose this cruise as we wanted the convenience of sailing from Southampton and we wanted near on guaranteed sunshine. We have also sailed with Princess many times and are Platinum members. Embarkation was perfect no complaints top marks. First night alarms crew called to muster station because of smoke in Engine room dealt with very well by the captain and crew couldn't have been ...

Entertainment was poor mainly quizzes. Room was dirty and not cleaned properly items from previous guests and dust every where sheets were not changed for the fortnight we were there. Staff on reception were rude and did not get back to you when they said they would. Over all I was highly disappointed as expected better food in horizon food court was like school dinners and left under ...

Promised much delivered little

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Emerald Princess

User Avatar

Chose the cruise based on its destinations and also for its reputation of good food and comfortable beds which I have to say I wasn't impressed with. Cabins are noisy and aluminated with light from outside the cabin door which you can do little about. The beds are too soft and we both suffered bad backs and necks during our cruise. The entertainment provided on the stateroom television is ...
