Princess? What's the opposite of Princess?

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Emerald Princess

As others have noted, Princess was tauted as one of the best cruises/cruiselines but we found it severely lacking. Again as Doxiesmom said about getting lost, we did as well numerous times but somehow always seemed to end up by all the hundreds of photos, the casino or the Lotus Spa. It was not a diabetic friendly cruise as even though we had purchased the soda package, the only diet soda ...

Old, dated, stained. Felt like an old Travelodge hotel.Low value. cannot compare to our other 3 cruises with Holland America. We repent Holland America, never again will we sale with the Dirty Princess. Our stareroom steward was great. The stateroom was worn out, the window curtans didnt fit properly. THe food in the Horizon buffet was almost un eatable. THe other resteraunts on board were better ...

Very disappointed

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Emerald Princess

I chose this cruise for the itinerary but once onboard, completely disappointed with food and the state of the ship. I've been on many cruises prior to this but this was the worst by far. My expectations on the food were gravely disappointing. The quality has certainly gone down the tubes and temperature of the food was also just slightly warm. The long lines were horrific around the restaurants ...

To celebrate our 50th anniversary I couldn't be more dissatisfied. The food was very poor quality. The ship needs updated. The staff was rude. This was my third time sailing with princess cruise line. The past cruises were fantastic. This last one was a huge disappointment. We can never get our 50 th anniversary back. I have nothing more to add. I will never use princess again. The child's ...

Ports were wonderful. Ship dining staff were irritable, arguing, rigid culture

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Emerald Princess

Wanted to visit Alaska. Always heard Princess did the best job. Found out otherwise. Dining staff were rude at times, irritable, refusing to give extra items or reluctant to exchange items. Odd for any cruise ship. Difficult getting gluten free items. Not many available. Dining staff seemed lazy, didn't want to walk back to galley if we asked for something. Attitude issues. Culture on ship ...

Disappointed

We were disappointed with Princess Cruises. Our family of 14 ranged from 7 months to 89yrs. The 89 yr old enjoyed herself but the teenagers, young adults and adults were are somewhat bored and disappointed. The shows were terrible and the young adults always left the show. Definitely not the caliber of RCCL’s Broadway shows! There was not much for young adults and teens to do onboard the ship. ...

The overall crew of the ship were lousy with only a couple exceptions

This was a large family cruise, for some of the family this was their first cruise while we have sailed with Royal Caribbean 4 times and have only positives to say for them. The crew of this ship seemed to us either first time as crew members or tired and not wanting to be helpful and just plain rude. We were given pina colada when ordering a margarita, then when we questioned it were given ...

Alaska is great, Go on any other Cruise Line, Princess Sucks!

I will start with we the fact that this was our first Cruise on Princess, but we have taken 9 on RCL, 2 on NCL, and 2 on Carnival so we did have something to compare it to. Princess will not get a Second chance. We cruise with a group often so we take turns planning and picking cruise line and itinerary. My wife and I had done Alaska before on NCL and had loved it, we were on the Sun. So ...

Worst food ever

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Emerald Princess

User Avatar

We've been on 13 cruises and this was the worst food experience we've ever had. The food was bad, frequently recycled for several meals. The coffee was cold and awful. The excursions were good--what could be wrong with Alaska? Comedian Carlos Oscar Singer Nathan Foley and the ship orchestra were all very good. The cruise director was least informative ever--never gave debarkation information ...

Alaska is great...Princess is not

We have been on several cruises with different companies and this has been our worst experience by far on the ship. Here's why... Onboard they don’t use an app like most other cruise lines. Instead they use a website. This may not seem like a big thing but the first problem is if you’re with a group and want to use the messaging, there is no way to get it to notify you when there is a new text ...
