We were a little worried about an Azamara cruise with a 17 and 19 year old, but we all had a great time. The service was amazing, food was very good and the staff addressed each of our on board issues (gym temp too hot, and jacuzzi not open late enough). The hotel manager fixed the gym temp and kept the jacuzzi open 2 hours later one night while we were on the cruise. We would have liked it open ...
These were places we'd never been before. Everything was good except the choices at dinner in the main dining room. Too many fancy names for the previous nights leftovers, it seemed. Very little straightforward meals and next to no Italian pasta type meals. Also had one meal at Aqualina that was just passable. The lobster tail was rubber. Two at Prime C were good, but not out of this ...
This was our 2nd time on a Baltic cruise. It was also our 2nd cruise on the Windsurf. Our 1st Baltic cruise was on a very large ship. We like smaller ships. We chose the Scandanavian Tapestry voyage because it visited several ports in Northern Europe without a stop in St. Petersburg. Most Baltic cruises go to Russia. Since I do not agree with Putin's politics, I didn't want to go to Russia. ...
My husband, Bill, and I live in Anderson and Charleston, SC. I'm 51; he's 54. We have four adult children. We love to travel on land or by sea. I'm retired; Bill still works (more than full time). This was our 4th Azamara cruise, and we're very loyal to Azamara and Celebrity.
We flew Delta Business Elite into Amsterdam and stayed at the Amstel Intercontinental. It's one of our favorite cities ...
My wife and I and two other couples met in Edinburgh, where we spent three days getting over jet lag and enjoying this fun city (we highly recommend the food tour Eat Walk Edinburgh). The cruise terminal in Edinburgh was small with few amenities, but the boarding process went smoothly enough. From the start, the Wind Surf staff were friendly and welcoming. Our cabin (one of the standard cabins, ...
Travelled to Spitsbergen (Svalbad) and the North Cape of Norway on Fred. Olsen Cruise Line MS Boudicca July 2012.
Great service from start to finish. Speedy embarkation and (sadly) also quick disembarkation at the end of the trip.
Wanted a change for our summer holiday and decided that this particular cruise ticked that box.
We were not disappointed. Ny Alesund and Longyearbyen were two ...
We had 8 family members on this cruise ranging in age from 11-78. The ship is very comfortable and the crew was as friendly as a crew can be. We were a little concerned that the 4 kids (ages 11-15) would not have enough to do. While not perfect for them, it was OK. In total I saw about a dozen kids but only about half of them wanted to hang out with other kids. No real kid spaces, but the crew ...
I have just returned from a very brief trip on the Azamara Journey. The ship was visiting Leith as part of its current cruise and Azamara Club kindly allowed Margaret to invite a few of her clients to view the ship.
A group of 12 arrived at the port at 8.30am and, even though we were only staying for a few hours and were not going anywhere we had to go through security and hand in our passports. ...
Although my husband and I had cruised before ,although not with Fred Olsen, we were a little apprehensive about taking my mother a first -time cruiser for her 80th birthday. Although her looks belie her age she is less sprightly than she once was, with a heart condition and an arthritic knee and what was more worrying for me she has a palette for very plain food and can't abide mayonnaise, sauces, ...
