Getting back on a cruise

Review for Carnival Magic to Caribbean - Eastern

Cruising in the Covid era was different , not in a really bad way , it was just different. Carnival requires a negative covid test 2 days before you sail , that was extremely stressful . There's a lot of decisions to make about pre buying internet cheers packages excursions etc.. before sailing having to wait until a couple of days before or gambling on a negative test is quite a is the biggest ...

Great Cruise With A Few Hang-up's

Review for Carnival Elation to Caribbean - Eastern

We truly loved our experience onboard the Carnival Elation last week! This was my husband's 43rd cruise and my 23rd. There were some hang up's with this trip, but the overall sailing was really nice. It was definitely much better than the MSC cruise we took almost three weeks ago. Carnival has a large fleet of ships, but Port Canaveral only has a few options at this time because a few of the ...

This 5 night cruise to Nassau and Amber Cove was Carnival Elation's premier cruise following the shut down. It was one of the nicest cruises I have taken. Perhaps not the best cruise, but certainly the most welcome cruise. From start to finish it seemed that the staff was charged with one mission: to make everybody happy. Carnival wanted to get his one right, and I believe they did. On ...

Tale of two cruises, most was fantastically wonderful, some was fantastically disappointing.

This cruise was an anniversary gift from my wife, our fourth cruise together, all aboard Carnival Cruise Lines, and all leaving from Galveston, Texas. She chose this cruise because neither of us had ever been to Key West or the Bahamas so the destinations were high on our priority list. They cancelled the Key West stop a few weeks before we left. I know it wasn't Carnival's fault, but it wasn't ...

Great to be back Cruising Again!

Review for Allure of the Seas to Caribbean - Eastern

We were excited to be back on the high seas and it was our first cruise on an Oasis Classed ship. Our last cruise was in 2018 on Celebrity Reflection. We have been on 15 cruises with several RCCL, Celebrity, Carnival, HAL, and Princess. Celebrity had been our favorite up until the last experience with them. We tired of the endless beatings for the drink packages, automatic tips, reduced offerings ...

So Very GOOD to Be Back!

This was our first cruise since January of 2020, with six canceled cruises in between. We have previously sailed aboard the Oasis and Harmony of the Seas, so we were already familiar with the basic layout of the ship. Passengers aboard appeared to be about 25-30 percent of actual capacity, which was wonderful from the boarding process to the departure, and everything in between. Food in the ...

Long time traveler on royal. Diamond plus. Signature at casino royale. Ship less than 1/2 capacity. So not crowded. Staff excellent especially in coastal kitchen, suite lounge, solarium restaurant, and windjammer. Staff made guests feel welcome. Cabin attendant was excellent. Kept room perfect stocked with ice. Casino was the opposite. Slots not paying off. Worse than any ...

We have had 7 cruises cancelled and frankly I thought this one would be also. I booked this cruise as I was excited about going to Bimini; what a letdown. They need to develop their tourism as there isn't anything to see or do there except go to the beach. It looked like a flat "ribbon of land" island that was mostly residential and the houses looked nice and new. We walked down to the Hilton ...

Better than Ever Before

Review for Carnival Magic to Caribbean - Eastern

I’d like to start off by saying how impressed I was with this ship and the staff. Granted, they were sailing at around 50% capacity making it very spacious everywhere, but the crew were more helpful than any other main cruise lines I’ve been on. Boarding from parking to sitting at a bar with my first glass of champers took 1.5 hours (this included completing the muster drill and a quick spa ...

The service was brilliant, entertainment was good, ship was okay, but the destinations were subpar.

This was my 7th cruise on Carnival. Although the Carnival Magic was not a bad ship, the layout was strange compared to all the others I've been on and not to my liking; most of the hot tubs were cold, the ones on the Serenity deck were always full and this was on a cruise only 70% full. The main pool was small and seemed out of place. On a positive note, it had lots for kids to do and also had ...
