Not a holiday worth having

Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Splendida

By far our worst holiday experience, a complete waste of money and time. We would have had a better time on land where we catered for ourselves, our first time cruising with #MSC and if this is their standard I would recommend anyone to rather not choose the #MSC Splendida. Not enough space for people in pools, mistakes made by staff caused us to repeatedly go stand in line at reception for ...

Terrible cruise

I travelled with my dad on Sinfonia Nov 2011 after the passing of my brother. The ship was stranded in Capetown Harbor for most of the trip due to extremely bad weather, however, the experience on the ship was very enjoyable and the staff were amazing. This trip on 8 Dec on MSC Splendida, to Mozambique was a total disaster, from embarkation to end. It was horribly managed. During embarkation, ...

Absolutely disappointed!!!

It was one big disappointment. From the embarking right through to dis-embarkment. It took 4 hours to embark and again 4 to disembark. Both our suitcases were damaged, and they just pulled up their shoulders. After throwing my toys completely, they sent someone with cellotape to fix my suitcase... cellotape!!!!???? The ship was totally over crowded - we did not even get close to a pool, let ...

Extremely unprofessional and disappointing

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Musica

We embarked on the cruise aboard the MSC Musica from Durban to Venice in April 2019 with expectations of the ship not being up to the standard to HAL/Princess/Celebrity but were hoping for an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, this did not occur. From the commencement of embarkation the experience took a downhill curve. Not only did it take hours, passengers had to line up in the direct sun ...

The worst cruise we have ever had!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Musica

We initially chose this particular cruise because of the lovely itinerary and for a special pre retirement holiday. We had cruised with MSC three times previously and although it was not the best quality cruise line it was always an acceptable standard, reasonably priced and had good itineraries. Right from the start of this cruise things were not managed well, the cruise started in Durban ...

Price and itinerary was the drawcard, but the cruise was just awful. Cold food with no flavour. No entertainment except for dancing and pool games. No movies or tv except if you paid for them. Treated like cattle on embarking took 2 hrs. Bistro closed at 2oc. Didnt get on till then. Room was dirty when we finally got in. Service at night in dining room was terrible took nearly 2 hrs and food was ...

The cruise was over populated with passengers. No dining facilities available at breakfast & lunch. By the time you waited for a seat the buffet was closed. At excursions we were treated as if we were in a government facility where we need to stand in long lines. The braai on the Island did not have any proper meat, as per braai. I've been on four cruise thus far and this was the worst. No body ...

Worst Cruise Line EVER !!

Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Musica

We chose this cruise because it left from Durban, South Africa which allowed us to tick off a stay at Kruger National Park as well as a visit to Petra in Jordan. The cruise embarkation in Durban would have to have been the longest, most shambolic and most disorganised we have EVER experienced. The staff, apparently (or so we were told) were new. All we can say is that they hadn't been ...

Was not for Me

This cruise has always been on my bucket list, but I think my expectations was too high for what they could give. I work in a 5 star lodge and is very focused on service and for that reason I am also writing this review. The cabin was very nice. But dining was horrible you go on a cruise to spend time with your partner but find out that you have to sit with complete strangers and there is ...
