Bucket List Vacation

Review for a World Cruise Cruise on Zhao Shang Yi Dun (Viking Sun)

We chose to do the last segment of a World Cruise because of its southern African Itinerary. The highlight of this journey was the pre-cruise extension, a safari to Krueger National Park in South Africa. This extension was well worth the time and money. We chose to let Viking plan our air travel and we were very happy with our flights (NYC to Heathrow and then on to Johannesburg). Viking had us ...

Nice cruise from Durban to London April 13 to May 11, 2019

The cruise was good, restaurant, bar and housekeeping staff were exceptional, but if you had to deal with the cruise director, there was no service, just talking down to you very rudely. The shore excursions were very good, however all the best tours were already booked, as it was a world cruise, which we were not aware of, so almost all of the deluxe tours that you had to pay for were ...

Cruised to Portuguese Island. Had a lovely experience. Food and entertainment was great! All aspects of onboarding and disembarkation were handled smoothly. Ship sailed smoothly and there was no need for sea sickness tablets. I had my parents with me abd my child..the cabin numbers are seperated into odd and even on each deck so lotsa people were confused as to where to find their cabin but we ...

What an experience

A lot to do. Can choose from a variety of activities or lounges to go too. Can commend the staff with assistance when I left my wallet in the car. They went above the call of duty to get me off and back on again. The pizza that was available nearly 24/7 was a winner. Only dissapointment was the sit down dinings at night. Food was mediocre. Need to look at a second ice cream bar on the 13th ...

Our Spring Braek

Our cruise date was looming and we were going ready with trepidation, due to our last cruise with MSC being spoilt by both the illness of my wife and the rather bad service from the crew. Our cruise date came round the taxi collected us and down to the harbour we went, MSC ground staff took our luggage straight from the taxi and whisked us to the wheelchair assist station and what a difference we ...

Crew members were not very clued up with information. Shore Excursions was very limited. More information should be made available on a channel on the TV Entertainment and Activities was very good Cabin very small. Was OK as we were only 2 adults, but if 2 children were included then the cabin would be very, very small. Beach towels were not replaced. Water leaking from the toilet ...

A well run ship with super efficient staff

Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Musica

We chose our cruise as we had previously been on the Sinfonia last year and had a wonderful time. The Musica, I feel, has better laid out cabins but could do with doors on the showers as the shower curtain continuously blows on your back whilst showering (a most unpleasant experience) The staff were much more efficient and polite as I found the staff on the Sinfonia to be a bit churlish and ...

We did the Sokkie cruise from 08 to 11 March 2019....which was supper...mostly white Afrikaans speaking passengers onboard which all like the Afrikaans Sokkie Music.. so the vibe on the ship was great.. Cruising these days are not cheap any more and we staying in Pretoria so to travel to Dbn and back is also costing a lot. Therefor to make it worthwhile we decided to do the back to back cruise. ...

Lekker Super Sokkie cruise

Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Musica

The embarkation was fast and effective, faster than the easy on board line. The friendly staff and customs was effective! Good job! The embarkation on the ship was confusing, taking the passport, taking photos and standing in a long que to collect the vouchers, rather leave it in the cabin to collect. The food was very good, as well as the service at the bar inside the restaurant, but ...

Relaxing

Well organised, boarding and disembarkment was quick - no need to pay for preferential embarking. Cabin was neat and clean. Bars were very busy especially on the deck - ice cream was virtually impossible to get to - will not buy the ice cream and soft drink package again. Coffee package also a waste as there is coffee stations available. Food in the restaurants were very disappointing - ...
