Not a holiday worth having

Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Splendida

By far our worst holiday experience, a complete waste of money and time. We would have had a better time on land where we catered for ourselves, our first time cruising with #MSC and if this is their standard I would recommend anyone to rather not choose the #MSC Splendida. Not enough space for people in pools, mistakes made by staff caused us to repeatedly go stand in line at reception for ...

Terrible cruise

I travelled with my dad on Sinfonia Nov 2011 after the passing of my brother. The ship was stranded in Capetown Harbor for most of the trip due to extremely bad weather, however, the experience on the ship was very enjoyable and the staff were amazing. This trip on 8 Dec on MSC Splendida, to Mozambique was a total disaster, from embarkation to end. It was horribly managed. During embarkation, ...

Absolutely disappointed!!!

It was one big disappointment. From the embarking right through to dis-embarkment. It took 4 hours to embark and again 4 to disembark. Both our suitcases were damaged, and they just pulled up their shoulders. After throwing my toys completely, they sent someone with cellotape to fix my suitcase... cellotape!!!!???? The ship was totally over crowded - we did not even get close to a pool, let ...

Worst cruise experience ever

Review for a Africa Cruise on MSC Orchestra

MSC Review This has been one of the worst cruises I’ve ever experienced. I planned this vacation with MSC as a “cruise of a lifetime”, considering this was my wife’s first cruise experience. My expectation was clearly not met, not to mention the ship is old and the decor is grossly outdated! What my wife and I experienced with MSC Orchestra has greatly reduced our interest in cruising. MSC ...

My family cruised on MSC Orchestra Dec 26th- Jan 9th from Durban with (planned) stops in Mozambique, Madagascar, Seychelles and Mauritius. I strongly caution prospective travelers to avoid this cruise and MSC as a whole after this disappointing holiday and will in detail describe our experience. BEFORE CRUISE: MSC website to manage your booking is vague in detailing how their packages work. ...

Worst experience ever

Being a long time cruiser, and a gold msc Voyager club member, I know the exceptional service. But on this last cruise it was the most disappointing experience iv ever had. From the staff to the management, service just deteriorated terribly. It was as we got the ticket for free and it was a burden to them to provide any customcare. And as for the msc voyage club membership, almost ...

Nightmare

We chose this cruise as siblings to spend some time with my eldest sister who has cancer. It was a nightmare though because elevators is always busy and takes too much time to get to whatever floor you'd like to be. There should be a elevator for people with special needs. The food wasn't great in fact it was worst than hostel food, exept for dining room on deck 6 which had great service and food. ...

The worst cruise we have ever had!

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Musica

We initially chose this particular cruise because of the lovely itinerary and for a special pre retirement holiday. We had cruised with MSC three times previously and although it was not the best quality cruise line it was always an acceptable standard, reasonably priced and had good itineraries. Right from the start of this cruise things were not managed well, the cruise started in Durban ...

Price and itinerary was the drawcard, but the cruise was just awful. Cold food with no flavour. No entertainment except for dancing and pool games. No movies or tv except if you paid for them. Treated like cattle on embarking took 2 hrs. Bistro closed at 2oc. Didnt get on till then. Room was dirty when we finally got in. Service at night in dining room was terrible took nearly 2 hrs and food was ...
