Pleasant but not luxurious

Review for Le Champlain to Mediterranean

I simply booked the cruise to Croatia because it was one of the only possible options to go on a cruise and there was no single supplement. Being Belgian the French language was not a problem at all . In view of the actual pandemic great care was given to the medical aspect , passengers had to send quite a long and detailled questionnaire , partly to be filled in by your own GP. Also a covid test ...

Everyone should do this small ship experience at least once. Its absolutely lovely that everyone knows your name by day 2. We were a group of 6 that had an amazing experience. The cabins, the common areas, the extraordinary staff just to name a few. The Sunset deck was where you could always find a drink, a sunrise or sunset, and someone to talk to. Great bar and wonderful grill. The Cove was ...

Review for Adriatic Princess II to Europe - Western Mediterranean

Captivated by the alluring Emerald Waterways brochure advertising the brand new luxury yacht Adriatic Princess 2 I encouraged some friends to join us on a luxury weeks cruise along the Dalmatian coast. That was the dream! The reality: When we arrived at the dock we discovered that the promised brand new luxury AP 2 doesn't exist, it never did.The yacht had been replaced by the original ...

Review for Marella Celebration to Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Chose this cruise as we were constricted by time and wanted to visit Athens. We had been with Marella before and researched the ship before booking so knew what to expect. Luggage was dropped off at Gatwick and didn’t see it again until it was delivered to the cabin (the reverse happened on departure). Embarkation was quick but as there were only 1200 passengers there was no Premium ...

Previously sailed on Spirit so layout of ship identical. Seemed like the ship was shaking herself to bits. Vibration from engines was constant and on every deck and location of the ship. Last night in port I was unable to sleep because of the vibrations. Celebration needs to be retired. Staff are all excellent and food of a high standard particularly the Meridian restaurant. Didn't try the ...

This was our 46th cruise, either river or ocean, and the first time I felt it necessary to write a review to protect other cruisers. We selected this cruise due to advertisements regarding a new ship being built. Two months before our cruise date we received an email stating the ship was not completed. Come to find out no ship was even started to be built plus there was never going to be an ...

We sailed the Emerald Waterways Adriatic Princess Dalmatian Cruise on June 8 to 15th. I will save you the agony and money spent by informing you that this is NOT a “Luxury Yacht” as stated in their brochure, nor is it a new yacht. Imagine our huge disappointment upon finding out that the “New Luxury Yacht” that we paid dearly for has not even commenced to being built and all the ...

Review for Marella Celebration to Mediterranean

We were looking for an autumn two-week cruise that didn’t breach any of our red lines: 1) must be fairly cheap: 2) must be able to dine at variable times that we choose, not at a fixed time chosen by them. It also had to tick our main boxes: 1) must be a wide range of musical entertainment for us to enjoy in the evenings: 2) daily program must offer lots of options: 3) at least some of these must ...

SAIL THE THREE SEAS the itinerary that called me to sail on the Marella Celebration, reviewed separately. For me it all started with a 45 mile drive down the A1 at silly o’clock for the 06:50 Boeing 737 from Donny (DSA) to Dubrovnic (DBV) and a half hour coach transfer along the stunning Dalmatian coast. I must at this point thank all the other reviewers who said SIT ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF ...

We tried the majesty last year and were so impressed we decided to do the next one up ie the celebration. We had a large delux cabin which we had booked however we were given a queen bed instead of twin beds as originally requested. That being said the bed was extremely comfy and Ahmad, who looked after our cabin kept it spotlessly clean and the towel “art” each night was great. I hope the next ...
