I was not a seasoned cruiser , I had only been on a Carnival, Holland America , Oceana , Windstar , Regent and One River Cruise . We decided to do the Ireland Intensive and one more to France , Portugal and Spain . It wound up being Twenty Seven Back To Backs on the Quest . We did Ireland, France, Portugal, Spain , Malta , Bali, New Zealand, Australia , Greece twice , all the way to Singapore , ...

We wanted to go to Ireland so we went a few days early to do a short tour of Ireland & then were able to see countries as we made our way to do the transatlantic crossing. The ship is old but everything worked. The cruise staff was great. Would have liked to hear more updates from the captain. We had to divert around hurricane so we missed 2 ports but better to be safe. Food was good. They ...

We chose this ship and itinerary because we wanted to go to the Normandy landing beaches. The cruise also included many ports we had not previously visited, so we were looking forward to it! The cabin was the smallest we've ever had. One chair and one tiny table, so there was no possibility of dining in the room. The bed was great and man was the shower good and hot!!! The ship was ...

Fantastic experiences on the British Isles

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Crown Princess

Our group of 7 had a fantastic 2 weeks in Ireland and on the Crown Princess. From embarking to disembarking, we were always busy doing something. This cruise had 9 ports in 12 days with only 2 split days at sea. It's a cruise for active individuals. All the ports were wonderful in their own way. The lone exception was Southampton. The bus ride to London and the time able to be spent their wasnt ...

This cruise venue had three separate itineraries on board simultaneously.

We chose this itinerary for the destinations. They were all good. Unfortunately there were some disappointing areas that need improvement. The shore excursions were well organized and mostly interesting but quite expensive. The Horizon Court dining venue was always overcrowded caused in part by guests hogging tables to read etc. also they utilize plastic dishes and glasses. ...

We took the British Isles cruise on Crown Princess, August, 2019. We had a really good time and enjoyed ourselves. Ship: Although not the fanciest ship around, the Crown Princess was very clean, had everything we needed and was easy to find our way around. Embarkation: We boarded in Dublin and were given our medallions and were on board in under two minutes. Excellent. Stateroom: We had ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Silver Muse

We are long time Silversea Cruisers. First time on Silver Muse. It clearly represents a new direction for Silversea. we are not sure who the cruise line is marketing too. Let me explain. Gone is the elegant dinning room, and in its place is a collection of dining options. While they represent a more modern approach to the dining experience, the new venues lack any sense of the wow factor. ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Azamara Quest

We love Azamara. On this trip, the crew was absolutely fantastic, as always. As a matter of fact, 3 of the bar tenders remembered us from previous cruises with them. The whole bar staff in the Living Room was fantastic. The casino bar was also great. There is definitely a family feel to the crew and it makes the guest feel welcomed and special. Itinerary was good - Ireland, Scotland, ...

Review from a first-timer! To give some context, our cruise experiences have run the gamut – from mass market (RCL, NCL & Princess) to premium (Celebrity) to luxury (Seabourn and Silversea) and on ships of a wide variety of sizes from the 10K ton Seabourn Legend to the 140k ton Navigator of the Seas. We cruise on the larger ships with our children (now 19 and 23) and the smaller, more upscale ...

Gaelic Explorers on the Star Legend

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Star Legend

This was our sixth Windstar cruise and our first on the Star Legend. I really wanted to submit a glowing review as I have in the past; unfortunately, this cruise was not quite up to the Windstar standards we have come to expect. Embarkation was easy and smooth; however, for the first time in all our cruises we were not greeted by any ship's officers (usually the Captain). This "invisibility" ...
