Disappointing in Every Way

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Crown Princess

We have been on about a dozen cruises, yet this was our first with Princess. The cruise began well enough. We embarked in Dublin and were literally in our cabin five minutes after arriving at the port. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. The room was an unobstructed Oceanview in a quiet area of the ship. The shower consistently flooded, the faucet water rarely produced anything but ...

The Itinerary of the Cruise was extremely appealing and the truth is that the ports of call were wonderful and we very much enjoyed all of our excursions and ports of call. The specialty restaurants were outstanding and the Da Vinci restaurant was very good. We found the food to be very good. The customer service and communications on board the ship were severely lacking. We received ...

Very disappointing

We chose this cruise because of its itinerary. I realize we may be somewhat jaded because we mostly travel on smaller luxury cruise lines, so I will begin with the positives. During our cruise the company upgraded their software in an attempt to improve their Internet, door locks and security system. Their service in most of their restaurants was very good and the food in their specialty ...

We have experience on four different cruise lines. This cruise took us to the British Isles aboard the Crown Princess, It was our first and last with Princess Lines. With the exception of entertainment the most comfortable bed ever, and our cabin steward, everything was below average, We are not whiners and try to look for the best so I'll share a few examples to document our disappointment. Ship ...

Not Living Up to the Reputation

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Seven Seas Navigator

We put three cruises together starting in Dublin 7/18 and disembarking in Barcelona 9/1. The positive was the crew and service was excellent for the most part. The negative is extensive. The ship was not particularly stable with a good deal of pitching and rolling in calm to moderate seas. Vibrations at the stern were noticeable even on the 10th deck. Some people in cabins at the rear ...

Not a luxury cruise that I've hoped for!

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Wind Surf

The old ship with an outdated decor and a very few amenities. The entertainment was limited to an OK band and a duo (husband and wife) singers. The food was OK, but not great. The cabin was small with a peeling wallpaper and some rusted spots in the shower. It was also dark with pothole windows which were advertised as the ocean view cabins. A poor quality TV reception, limited to 4-5 ...

An Experience in Being Nickled and Dimed

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Wind Surf

THE GOOD The crew is extraordinarily gracious. This is a ship with a small passenger load (312). We particularly enjoyed Hotel Manager, Nick Berger. He is studying for U.S. citizenship, and the U.S. could do a lot worse than Nick. A wonderful gentleman. THE BAD Windstar is the only ship that we have sailed to date that did not offer complimentary wine with dinner. Even Windjammer ...
