We sailed from Dublin to Dublin beginning on 7/3/22. We chose this cruise because of the great itinerary. The ship went all the way around Ireland.
The ports were all great. The staff was amazing. The food superb.
However, there was very limited internet access. Access is advertised as free and available all over the ship. There wasn’t enough bandwidth available for the number of ...
You can always find things on a cruise that can be made better. This cruise was no exception. But, in general, the cruise was good and enjoyable. For people looking for more to do and a slightly younger crowd--look for something else. Oceania, is known for the food on board and in general I would say the food is nicely prepared, presented and good. In the main dining room there is something new ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary which included a stop in the outer Hebrides and the Orkney Islands.
The ship is very nice though the design is odd. A good half a dozen times we encountered other passengers who joked about being lost / felt confused by the layout. The pool area creates a separation between cabins, and not in a good way.
The enrichment activities on this cruises weren't ...
For those interested in a comparison, let's look at the differences between Oceania and Princess. We were on the 18-day Dublin-Copenhagen segment. This was our first cruise with Oceania. We are elite with Princess. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary: Norway and northern Russian ports.
Oceania has considerably less merchandising pressure. There is no crew of photographers. The ...
The itinerary was excellent. Love that cruise ships going out of Dublin. The required need to use shuttle buses from makeshift passenger terminal was awkward. Much better at disembarktion. The staff friendly and very helpful. Food and overall service excellent. Staff did great job having cabins ready when guests boarded. Embarking and Disembarking was very smooth most of the time. Enjoyed ...
This itinerary to British Isles and Iceland was on sale so in general we felt a great value for money. Some said there was a downgrade of quality & service but we didn't see that at all. The ship was in good shape, well kept and clean. Service was as usual very good.
Embarkation at Dublin was longer than expected. Check in tent was far away from the dock. Most people (except suite guests) ...
As mentioned the destination was amazing and the ship was wonderful, as we knew it would be having sailed on every one of the solicited class Ship except FOR the Reflection. I do like that the Sky lounge is now the focal point for late night drinks as I have always felt that this is an amazing space that was never fully utilized, and have to mention that the Bar staff there are all amazing. ...
This sailing was way too busy. The first two days of the cruise were sea days but after that, it was port after port after port. A saving grace was an overnight in Barcelona. I just wished the overnight was in La Spezia. The itinerary was a big blur as I tried to look back. * I booked a Suite Class room directly through CelebrityCruises.com. The website indicated in-suite espresso. I was expecting ...
On second thought whoever approved it should be too. Believe me there were a lit of pluses on this cruise but that just started it off on the wrong foot. Forced to watch a completely agonizing movie that was supposed to be funny but truly asinine. People were actually trying to bust out but were forced to stay until the end. Give us the facts and let us go already. Safety is first but that ...
The Ship, Cabin, Dining, Entertainment & Service were Excellent. Unfortunately, Travel that far is also about, if not mainly, the location and that experience. Ireland and its people were a found Treasure in spite of the shore excursions Nautica offered, not because of them.
For a Ship of this caliber and cost I expected hand picked and above average Excursions.
2 out of 3 Excursions were ...
