Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Opera

I recently embarked on a voyage aboard the MSC Opera and feel compelled to share feedback regarding my experience. While certain aspects were positive, unfortunately, the overall experience was poor. Firstly, the buffet's food quality and variety left much to be desired. Frequently, the food felt cold and lacked quality which was disappointing. Despite encouragement to purchase a drinks ...

Booked by family, they were 11 of us. Great experience for a first time. Staff are welcoming and are always willing to help, but some struggled with English. Stop in Khasaab from Dubai then Muscat, gives you a chance to see Oman, although its very empty and boring. I wish is the cruise stopped at 6am and leaves next day 6am because, a 6am to 6pm is not enough time to see a city. Prices need to be ...

Service is wonderful, ship is tired/old, food is abysmal, pre-cruise communication is impossible.

I've cruised on numerous cruise lines and would likely never choose MSC again. Crew is friendly and works so hard - I honestly felt bad for them! They are understaffed, their managers are rude to them (yelling, snapping -- in front of customers?! Appalling.) Staff aren't given streamlined processes and it shows. (Mostly at the bars - unnecessarily crazy for servers and bartenders) Ship ...

we chose this cruise at last minute - the ship itself was clean and well run however the meals at the buffet wasnt hot and not a lot of choice. the restaurant meals were ok but nothing exciting as the menu was a bit much the same most nights. we booked an outside cabin with restricted view OMG we couldn't see outside the window at all, not even the sky as a life boat was hard up against the ...

We have been on several cruises in the Caribbean,Middle East and Asia. We chose this Cruise because we were going to Dubai anyway. We have sailed with MSC before. The choices out of Dubai are limited so having booked this and having read the reviews I was honestly not expecting much. However we have been so pleasantly surprised. The food has been excellent and the staff among the ...

Chose due the location- winter sun, price and itinerary. Older ship but very well maintained. Staff lovely, hard working and attentive. Food good, but not the choice or quality of royal Caribbean or celebrity. Quality drinks package choice of premium spirits and European beers. Ports of call were interesting and we had plenty of time in port to explore. The private island would ...

We chose this cruise as my daughter is based in Dubai. Although we enjoyed the various stops I would not consider the itinerary worthwhile enough to fly all the way from Europe for. In fairness to MSC we found the ship itself to be much better than many of the reviews on here. The cabin was clean, clearly refurbished fairly recently and the same could be said of the ship as a whole. Very clean ...

We chose the cruise as we were celebrating our birthday. The embarkation process went seamlessly; we were shepherded from airport to ship with no problems. There was some waiting for our rooms to become available once on the ship, however, we were roomed before the advertised at 2 pm. Suitcases also arrived in good time. We were kept well-informed re. activities and entertainment onboard ...
