First time on board of MSC Bellissima. Thought the itinerary was interesting therefore made the choice. Sail date was 07 March 2020, which was during coronavirus outbreak. They should have cancelled the cruise as there were many Italians and older people. But the aim of this corporation is MONEY and not the well being of people. They cancelled 2 ports of call so just circling around Dubai and Abu Dhabi. But they offered no refund at all. Absolutely nothing to do on board and entertainment lacklustre. Never been on a cruise ship where you have to pay to use the sauna and steam room. Even fitness classes inside the gym all with a price tag. Other cruise lines offer as daily activities. Staffs were not well trained, giving out contradicting information and lying constantly to cover their backs. Main objective was to squeeze more and more money from customers. Also they made you pay for the theatre shows! Absolutely ridiculous! Terrible customer service! Even when they made mistake in providing information, they refuse to rectify for customer benefit. Staffs were not knowledgeable and rude; no sense of customer satisfaction. Food was mediocre. Again must pay pay pay even in standard dining restaurant. Worst of all restaurant staffs coughing openly without covering with tissue or masks! Highly unacceptable amid covid outbreak! NEVER sail again with MSC! Read Less

Cruise chosen as a replacement for another tour. Successful stay from start to end.Entering the deck and exits from the deck hassle-free and smooth. Our cabin with balcony spacious. Bar replenished after each use. Towels are exchanged very often. Extra towels for beach. Food very good.Huge buffet with dozens of dishes. Outside the buffet themed restaurants. Our stay we had no extra packages. We didn't mean to taste liquors during the cruise. Entertainment was not missing. Theatre, circus, casino, swimming pools, whirlpool, cross-country and walking trails and much more. Small town with shops, bars and restaurants. If you want to enjoy all the attractions you will run out of time to sleep. Every day different from the day before. Service flawless. Nice and smiling. In the course of the cruise, optional excursions. We had previously booked trips before boarding. Not all of them were held, but it was because of the current situation. We didn't call two ports in Oman. It was a pity, however, not disturbed in a pleasant stay on a cruise ship. Certainly, if time permits, we will sail again Read Less

I thought this a good time as any to write this review, as I’m lying in bed listening to the clanking and pounding coming from above our cabin. Disappointment began departure day. They had the wrong boarding time listed on our e tkts and we could have checked in about 4 hrs earlier. Fortunately, we didn’t miss check in completely. This is a new Billion dollar ship. They should have spent a little more and provided a chair or small couch in our cabin. We have a very small stool and a bed. Yet there is enough room for a loveseat. Storage area is severely lacking. By far the least of any of the 25 cruises I have taken. Be aware of the liquor package. We paid $490 USD each, plus 15%, for the EASY package. The only East thing about this package is the extremely limited options the bartenders need to worry about. We are limited to a cap of 6 Euros for a drink. That gives us 1 choice of beer, 4 poor quality choices of wine, about 6 kinds of mixed drinks, soft drinks and bottled water. If I asked for a drink priced higher, I could not pay the difference, I have to pay the complete higher price. They offered to upgrade me to the next premium package for another 10 euro per day. My wife only drinks wine, and they would not allow just 1 of us to upgrade the package. We bought our package in advance but had we waited until on board, we would have paid about $70 USD less per person. They are very pushy with their up sells on the liquor and dining packages. Almost like a time share sale. I also find the price for the Dining experience to be quite high in the Specialty restaurants. If you want to order a steak or lobster tail at the regular dinner seating, it’s not included and costs 20-24 Euro. I’ve always had an option of a Caesar salad at the sit down dinner. Here it’s available only every few days. Our cabin is directly below the room service make up area. We are in 11276. Do not stay in this room. They prepare 24 hrs a day and it’s constantly banging, rolling cart noises and clanking. . I asked to be moved and will find out tomorrow if they will accommodate us. We have 12 more nights to try and get some sleep. The Casino games are very limited. There is NO poker available and the minimum bet on blackjack is 10 Euro. This is the third cruise for me with MSC. We have enjoyed the previous 2 and have another booked from Italy in June. I will be Good Level status after this trip. The ship itself is beautiful with lots to offer everyone. Easy to get around. Entertainment is good. It’s early in our cruise, and I hope we don’t find any more major disappointments. Read Less

Chose this cruise for some sunshine good food and sight seeing. Long queues every where ie checking in. Reception always had a queue Boat was clean Cabin ok but cabin boy over worked and never reached our cabin till late afternoon. Food disappointing. Deserts poor compared to other companies Waiters were great Continually being asked to take drinks package even through we had, to go to speciality restaurants , shows that u had to pay more to go to and other offers not interested in. Even in restaurant being asked to go for the special which cost u more. Pools packed with no space between sun beds. Other passengers put towels on beds early morning. Although stated that would be removed if not occupied would be removed. Excursions good but very expensive. On valentine night asked to buy drinks. Overall ok but felt pestered to spend more money. Expensive to start with but continually asking to buy more. Some passengers good but a lot of rude people with no manners. Felt at times survival of the fittest. This was my first cruise with MSc and unlikely to go with them again Read Less

We had not been with MSC before, and I must say, that we were very pleasantly surprised. Yes, we know that it is a new ship, that it is large, and would probably be crowded and noisy, but we had a very enjoyable week. There was always something to do, the staff were super friendly and helpful and efficient. They also smiled! Entertainment was good. We didn’t see all of the shows, but we did see the two “Cirque” shows, and found that one was better than the other. We thought that the included cocktail was a choice from the bar list, although I suppose that would have taken too long. Instead, there was a choice of a few ready made cocktails which you collected on entering the show.The food was good,and the cabin was good. The Embarkation and Disembarkation was well organised, and went smoothly. All in all, if this cruise is anything to go by, we would cruise with MSC again. Read Less

To anyone thinking of taking a cruise on the MSC Bellissima - Think very carefully if you value your life at sea We experienced the worst safety demonstration ever noone was taking control of the situation we were in the theatre and it was jsut a shambles no officers were taking control of the demo very poor total lack of interest. The second item of safety we saw was one of the crew cleaning the indoor pool roof without a safety lanyard he had the harness but no lanyard to conect to the latchway system just a piece of rope if the company allows this type of behaviour of its crew then god help the passengers a total lack of health and safety. The rooms are clean but very small zoe is utterly usless The food in the buffet is of poor choice fine if you like Hot dogs and burgers every lunchtime The entertainment is very poor on the decks and the theatre Overcrowding 5500 passengers on a ship built for 3500 they have squeezed the cabins together to pack everyone in the deck space gets very congested and to be honest it becomes a bun fight for everything Food,drink loungers very little staff to take drinks orders The ship is newish but badly designed not much room to relax and get peace and quite every thing is extra too the Bowling the simulators and the cirque du solie alll extra even the in room entertainment you want to watch a film it will cost you 7 euro total rip off will never go with them again never ------ buyer beware Read Less

We booked as a last-minute vacation for myself, niece and nephew, who has never cruised before. They wanted the location and itinerary. While booking, we realized we must pay for travel insurance for 3 when we wanted for 2 cruisers only. Our cabin was selected for us! Then, upon embarkation, only 2 wanted the beverage package, but we HAD to pay for 3 ( all members in the cabin), which was in excess of $300 for someone who absolutely did not want and used the package!!!!! On the online itinerary, we did not understand that there will be tours for Dubai, as they were not listed. We also did not know disembarkation could have been done until 2 days after docking! Then 2 days before boarding the MSC Bellissima site was closed. We could not reach anyone! Even though we paid for the beverage package, we could not use any drinks in the mini bar in the room without incurring a charge. Toiletries were limited to wall-mounted pre-filled dispenser. The Medical Office is closed at certain times. If the Doctor has to come out, it will be a charge of $160 euros! With so many persons on board, should this vital department be closed? The shows presented were too short. (30 minutes) Now, the staff were all courteous, helpful and knowledgable!!! Everyone were approachable. Our dining room staff were very intuitive and assisted with our selections. We loved the music played by the staff for the Birthday wishes! The ship was nicely decorated for the holidays! Too big, too many people and badly organized. From the moment you have your cruise card in the terminal you are pestered to buy this package and that package. The ship is stunning but the staff need more training in all areas. The cabin was very nice with a balcony, when we arrived at 1pm there was no toilet rolls, no TV remote and a smell from the bathroom. They do not supply tissues or any other nice things in the toilet.The steward was useless, he asked at 6pm was everything ok. At 9pm we were still waiting for our suitcases. I happened to look along the corridor and seen a guy pushing his own case along into his room. We went along to the lift area and the cases were in metal cages with only 2 guys to sort them out. We managed to retrieve our cases, my god on holiday and having to look for your own cases. We missed the restaurant as we didn't feel it appropriate to go with shorts on. Ate in the cattle market (sorry the Marketplace) what a disaster this place is a complete rabble and impossible to hear yourself speak. Hard pushed to get a table. The meals in the Light house restaurant very mediocre, no glass of water here you have to buy a bottle. No tea or coffee after your meal. The week didn't get any better we will not cruise again with MSC they are very unorganized and some of the staff quite rude. Read Less

I choose this cruise as it was a large group booking. The ship was absolutely beautiful, the attention to detail in the construction and decor was apparent throughout. There are so many areas to take pictures. This is where the beauty ended. This was my first time cruising with MSC and I will never cruise with them again. The level of customer service was horrific. First thing you should know is that everything is based on your package and not your room. I paid for an ocean view and my friends paid for a balcony. because we opted for the Bella package we received what I called sub service. My room was an obstructed view, some of my group who actually paid less for an interior were upgraded to better rooms than myself because they had the Fantasica package, How does that make sense? I honestly felt that MSC nickled and dimed us for everything. Shows, Food, and Excursions. They weren't honest in their operations. MSC if you read this please note that customer service is very important. Your staff were ill equipted to deal with complaints nor did they assist clients with compliatns ....which were many. I witnessed several unsatisfied clients. Normally. I struggle to offset the weight gain during a cruise. Not this time. I actuallly lost weight during my cruise. The food choices were so poor that I concluded that they were trying to drive us to the paid options. The ports were great with the exception of Sir Bani which we didn't visit due to rough seas. i also question that as I didn't witness any issues. I was told by another cruiser that this might be the norm.. MSC? is there something we should know?... So points for a lovely ship. but negative for food, post booking charges, customer service, room assignment and overall honesty. 7 euro for ice cream . Really??? We made the Eastern fairy tale cruise on the MSC Bellissima liner from 30.11.2019 to 07.12.2019 on the route United Arab Emirates - Oman in cabin # 12109. First of all, I would like to thank MSC Cruises from the bottom of my heart for the opportunity to get an excellent external cabin with a Fantastica balcony under the Fortuna program. The rest of the cruise is thought out perfectly-from the first minute at the entrance to the last when parting with the liner. The entire staff performs their duties flawlessly, with a smile and attention. Thank you to the staff of the Lighthouse restaurant (table 472) for their excellent cuisine, and to the waiters for their prompt and courteous service. The buffet at the Marketplace Buffet restaurant is impeccable in terms of the menu, the quality of the food prepared, the abundance of fruits, pastries, sweets, and drinks. We would like to thank all the animators, especially those who work on the open deck # 15. Evening rest is full of variety. Theatrical shows are staged and performed at a high professional level. I would like to mention the voices of the performers, and especially the dance group for their incendiary skill and artistic choreography of the numbers. When we visited the Bellissima Lounge bar, we were happy to listen and dance to the tunes of the Aquarium Party Band. But I especially want to thank the musicians of the Latin Summer band, who performed every night at TV Studios&Bar. We are fans of Spanish-language music . The Latin Summer ensemble conveys the unique flavor of Latin American performance culture with its compositions. Special thanks to the organizers of the holiday on the Sir Bani Yas island . A big surprise was the perfectly organized food on the island. The Eastern fairy tale cruise with its name perfectly reflects the feeling of uniqueness of fairy-tale emotions from being on the MSC Bellissima liner . Read Less

The Ship overall was great, nice kids activities and shops. BUT, the service was really bad all over the ship, food was average at best and constant pushing the extras, for example photo sessions was really annoying. Cabin 14075 with balcony was small but funtional with 2 children, no sun in the balcony though. Service in the cabin was poor as well, towel problems, no hair contioning or other aminities or nice extras - very plain in the Aurea class as well. Spa massage was very professional and nice, hair dresser too. Shore excursion was ok, we did the Abu Dhabi safari tour. Everything nice was with extra cost, like kids VR adventures or Formula 1 and they weren’t worth the money - 10€ per 5 minutes. Pool areas were quite nice, kids playrooms as well, entertainment we didn’t see as we went to bed quite early. We can’t recommend the ship. Read Less
