9 of us took this cruise from Dubai. The food was terrible with all the inclusive options by buffet. A number of bars were closed including the main pool bar meaning you had to walk down a level and half the length of the ship to get a drink. No waiters around the pools. We chose this cruise because it was to celebrate a special birthday and sailing around the Emirates seemed like a special trip. The Ship was too big - 5000 passengers and 1600 crew members. Booked by family, they were 11 of us. Great experience for a first time. Staff are welcoming and are always willing to help, but some struggled with English. Stop in Khasaab from Dubai then Muscat, gives you a chance to see Oman, although its very empty and boring.
