Really unfriendly and boring

Review for a Africa Cruise on Mein Schiff

No problem about being a German ship at all, it's the second time we take it, the first one was a pretty cool experience, not amazing but it was pretty ok, now the food is terrible, the international crew seems unhappy but they are really helpful, when you need something from the check in or you have to necessarily go to some of the European stuff, you're automatically lost, we had a loot of ...

This was our 5th Silversea Cruise and we choose it for the Itinerary. First time on the Spirit, embarkation was good, cabin great as usual. The problems started when because of Jet Lag we woke up at 3am, no internet or Tv working. This went on for 3 days. I even asked if we could move cabins and was asked" why is TV so important to you?" Wowzers, Wasnt expecting that..I said its not important ...

BITTER DISAPPOINTMENT

This was our 21st cruise. Having sailed before with Princess, Celebrity and Cunard. We chose this cruise firstly for the itinerary and secondly for the fact that this was supposed to be a luxury cruise. We searched and searched and could not find the luxury that was supposed to be aboard this vessel. In fact what we found was a ship in need of modernising and updating. The ships overall ...

We had sailed on 2 previous Oceania cruises and believed we found a new favorite cruise line. Having been on 7 different lines over the years and multiple cruises, we decided to book our 3rd Oceania on the Nautica which we were on last year traveling Turkey and Greece. We traveled the Holy Land itinerary from Dubai to Barcelona on the same ship and same room. We had booked this tour on board ...

Our first time on Seabourn but not our last. Loved the ship, the outside eating spaces, the delicious food, the staff, the crew …. We are now spoiled for any other line. Relax or be busy, dress up or don’t. This is the cruise line for us. Worth every penny. We met lovely people of all nationalities. We enjoyed the food and the entertainment. Shout out to the cruise director Aimee, the wonderful ...

Filthy water and no reparations

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Jade

We chose this cruise for the itinerary— had booked it in 2020, but it was cancelled, so we were very excited to finally go. Had a concierge level room. 11610 with a tub. To keep this short- here are pictures of the tub water (see below). No adjustments, no apologies. Told to contact Guest Services in Miami- got a crappy form letter saying how wonderful NCL is!! We have been on 18 cruises on ...

SUMMARY The Norwegian Jade is a nice sized ship with a good layout and a spacious theatre. The main dining rooms were well organized and quite spacious. The various specialty dining venues were even better and we enjoyed several good meals in Le Bistro, Cagney's, La Cucina and Moderna. The Teppanyaki was entertaining and we enjoyed the food there but the Jasmine (free anytime) was very ...

Great Cruise with Some Minor Service Issues

Review for a Africa Cruise on Silver Spirit

This was our first Silversea cruise and 19th cruise overall. We sailed on 10 different lines, including Crystal, Oceania, Azamara and more. Overall, it was a great cruise, but I must say I expected more from a "6 star line with intuitive service". The service was good to very good overall, but we didn't feel that they "learn our preference and anticipate our needs". Embarkation: very smooth ...

Bucket list trip! Absolutely fantastic!

Kudos to Kenneth Whetstone of Silversea - my second fantastic cruise through his efforts! Following is a “trip report” that I sent him. Having seen some “iffy” reviews on Cruise Critic about Silversea before I wanted to give credit where credit was due! ……Of all the people I met on my cruise, I seemed to have the “best of the best” in both hotel and suite service! Of course, I beamed from ear ...

Expensive and inexperience

Review for a Africa Cruise on Silver Spirit

User Avatar

Firstly the ship was only two thirds full and we were on board for 28 days. If you paid half of what they asked it would be still expensive and not value. The Seishin restaurant is supposed to be Japanese themed with a surcharge of US$40 per head. The Wagyu beef which is supposed to be marbled was not and the Miso soup was like beef broth. Any resemblance to Japanese was coincidental. The ...
