Worst holiday ever

Review for a Middle East Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Worst holiday ever. #mscbvirtuosa was overbooked and overcrowded for this Middle East cruise. Not enough sun beds, the bars and restaurants overcrowded. Long queues for breakfast, sometimes over an hour wait. Bizarrely the times for meals changed throughout the trip, without explanation why. Breakfast started at 6 to 8am for some days, who eats breakfast at this time on holiday! Cruise ...

An American Tries Cruising Solo on MSC's Newest Ship

This cruise was a "first" for me in several respects: my first solo cruise, my first non-English speaking cruise, and my first cruise on a "super size" ship. Having cruised mainly ships whose passengers are mainly American or English speaking, I was curious to try the MSC line, which is an Italian cruise line and caters more to the European crowd. I look for good value on a cruise, which for me, ...

Great ship, great itinerary, poor food and service.

This was our first and more than likely our last MSC cruise. We usually cruise with HAL and Celebrity but chose this cruise because of the itinerary and the newness of the ship. Some aspects were VERY disappointing. Firstly, no-one checked our Covid status at check-in. We have 4 vaccinations and we spent 70Euro getting antigen tests done as was recommended by MSC. A total waste of money. There was ...

MSC World Europa review 20th – 29 of December 2022. We arrived at the port of Doha and were very impressed with the port Staffs efficiency and the easy process for getting on the MSC World Europa they were all very professional and we embarked in an expedient manner which I was very grateful for. On arrival the ship seemed very clean, and we explored the cruise ship. We were impressed at the ...

1. The MSc app is a useful tool, however MSc do give out the wrong information, do not update it regularly, do not tell you when they change the itinerary and leave you wondering why they have an app. 2. If you purchase the speciality dining package, be aware that you will repeatedly be asked to purchase this package by what seems to be most staff onboard over your entire stay. 3. Stock ...

Worst Cruise Experience of all time

Me and my friends rented a suite for 3 nights with MSC in Doha for the world cup. We all have been to cruises multiple times with Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean just to let you know we understand what we should expect. MSC advertised as a cruise like experience bit we are not sailing. So we thought it is very good idea to a luxury relaxing experience for our last three days. We booked a ...

A shout-out to all of the professional, friendly crew

I was a solo traveler during my cruise, and as such, I had ample opportunity to interact with the staff and crew. I would like to personally commend the following members, all of whom demonstrated the highest standard of service: My waiters, Dodik and Wirawan, for their attentive service and for constantly remembering every single one of my culinary preferences and habits. They made my dining ...

Beautiful cruise ship with moderate quality of services

The ship looks nice and well equipped. We were on several cruises before with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean, but due to COVID-19 pandemic this cruise was the only option for us to have our vacation in the gulf. The ship and our state room was clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff was kind. I didn’t like foods and it took long for being served in the restaurant. There were some safety measures ...

Horror Story

Over the last fifteen years we have cruised on such cruise lines as, Oceana, Princess, Celebrity, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian and Carnival. We thought Carnival was the worst until the cruise on MSC Virtuosa 16 December to 23 December. In all of our travels, we have never seen such an inept crew, incompetent senior staff, hotel and restaurant operations. Here are some of the ...
