We chose this sailing for the unique Southern Caribbean itinerary on Disney, and then stayed on the ship as it repositioned back to Port Canaveral. We have done many DCL cruises, and we know more crew on this ship than any other DCL ship. Natalie Bailey was our Cruise Director, bringing a genuine enthusiasm that made you want to be in the Walt Disney Theatre each evening. Captain Robert even ...
We went on this cruise because we haven't been to the southern Caribbean islands. Everything was wonderful on the cruise considering the ship was almost 20 years old. Word to the wise on the aft rooms they like to creak. This kept me up the last few nights of the cruise as the waters were not as calm. The ship is one of the smaller Disney ships which was wonderful. My son loved the slinky ...
We have been on 11 Disney cruises all over the world and this year we decided to take my in laws for my mother in laws 80th birthday, and they had a fantastic time as did all of us. The staff is amazing in every way , the ship is clean , beautiful something for all ages to do .There were 13 of us and we all did things separately and together you can all go your own way then meet up later which was ...
We have been traveling for the last few year and most have been enjoyable. But, they have been cruises/trips that were physically challenging for seniors. So, since we enjoy Disney cruises, we selected this one. The ship, it's compliment(from Capt. Fabian on down) were friendly and always helpful.
If someone wasn't pleased with the options and variety of food, then nothing would satisfy ...
We were so fortunate to have such a wonderful family vacation aboard the Magic. We have food allergies and are huge Disney fans so this was a perfect fit for us. Everything from our wonderful transfer guide in Puerto Rico to the ship staff and accommodations excided our expectations. Our kids were 14,12, and 5 at the time. They did not spend much time in the kids clubs but that is more our kids ...
We LOVE Disney and have bought the Vacation Club and have enjoyed many visits to both land and sea. We have cruised on the Magic several times before. This time we noticed some changes I thought I would note. I agree wholeheartedly with the travel agent who reviewed before me. But some of the changes have not resulted in an improved customer experience.
Disney has added the gratuity to ...
We chose to travel with our grandchildren and their parents to celebrate both of the children's 3rd & 11th birthdays. We chose aft balconies on the port side. We usually were on the land side when we docked and saw the port. I suggest the starboard side (right) if you are doing the Southern Caribbean. The cakes we purchased for them were absolutely delicious. They did not have real candles but ...
My family has cruised the Caribbean a handful of times. We love the vibe of the Caribbean but yearned for different ports, and a more port intensive cruise compared to the usual 2-3 ports that you get on a standard Eastern or Western cruise. That put a Southern Caribbean on our bucket list. When we saw that one of our favorite ships, The Magic, was sailing just a handful of Southern itineraries ...
That being said, the adults that are bringing the kids are probably going to be disappointed.
The focus of a cruise is itinerary, food and entertainment.
Since we are a slightly mature couple couple, I will give the entertainment a pass as we did not attend or participate in a lot of the shows or events that were mostly geared towards kids. We did however attend a couple of shows by the ...
We loved the ports on this cruise, Antigua and Grenada were beautiful Friendly Islands, but time on the ship was not great. Our room attendant Falcon was awesome, he made amazing towel creations and kept our room very clean and stocked with toiletries. Falcon always had a smile on his face and our kids adored him.
The evening dining was very good and our waiter Thatree was very good and ...
