Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Magic

To be fair, I will put the good parts of the cruise first: The shows were very nice and well done. The singers were awesome and I was really impressed that some of the Disney dancers actually had some meat on there bones and weren't complete toothpicks. I really give them a hand for this! The stage props and effects were awesome and we really liked the fireworks, etc. Most of the staff were ...

Cruise for kids... that are girls... under 10

Pros: Great food. Wonderful gym, not big enough to do step, but plenty of treadmills, free weights, ellipticals, bikes, and more with oranges and apples right by the one water fountain. Inside the changing room is a sauna, rentable lockers, showers, and toilets. FREE sodas, bagged teas, and coffee with half and half or whole milk with all the artificial or real sugar. Wave phone! It's your ...

Not for me.

I really wanted to love this cruise. I really did. It was the first time we were taking our children on a cruise. Who would have thought a Disney cruise would not be suitable for children. Let's start off with the cabins. If you have more than three people--- splurge on something bigger. This was our first mistake. Four people with five bags of luggage in a stateroom is laughable. We were on top ...

First let me start by saying the ship itself was nice, all the services provided were fantastic, the food was great. However the activities for the younger crowd lacked. My children could not go into the same pool as each other, and it caused a problem every day. When I tried to take my older child o the bigger pools there were unsupervised children everywhere, jumping, diving in the pools and ...

If you have food allergies, Stay Away from Disney Cruising!

Two years ago we took a cruise to the Mediterranean in April 2010 on the same ship, the Disney Magic, and were pleasantly surprised at how well our allergies were taken into consideration. (I'm celiac & my husband is allergic to milk. We joke we're Jack Sprat and his wife.) However, in those 2 years, things have changed. The only place to get allergy free food when dining rooms are not open ...

Disney - Overpriced and Underwhelmed

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Magic

We took this cruise as a 3 generation family group as part of a long vacation that had already included a Carnival Cruise to Alaska and a brilliant cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. As the Disney cruise was substantially more expensive than the other 2 we had high expectations of the added value extras we could anticipate on this voyage. What a disappointment!!! In almost every respect the Disney ...

I wouldn't suggest going on this ship unless you have infants or toddlers in your party because this is what the whole cruise is geared for, families with very young children. We just got off the old tub & my ears are still ringing from kids & babies crying. We took our children & grandchildren on this cruise. We were all so excited to go & came away so disappointed. We arrived at the ship around ...

I have to say that I have never cruised before, and never really had any interest until another family asked if we would be interested in going with them. We thought this would be a good idea as we both have 10 year old daughters who are good friends. Let me say that my husband and I have traveled extensively in the Carribean prior to our daughter being born, and a few times since. We generally ...

Where is the Magic on the Disney Magic?

My wife, daughter and I just got off the Disney Magic yesterday. Here is my blunt review of the ship. First if you have kids, they will love the ship. Out of the 9 cruises I have been on the Disney Magic has the best childrens program of any of the cruiselines. My daughter did not want to leave the kids club most of the nights when we went to pick her up. But lets be honest. The Disney Cruises ...

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Disney Magic

This was our fifth cruise overall and our first on Disney. We paid as much for a seven day Eastern last week on Magic as we did for a seven day Western on the six month old Freedom of the Seas in January of this year. We are late 30-something (very late now) and we have a daughter who was 4.5 on this cruise. We have also sailed on Celebrity's Infinity twice and Rhapsody of the Seas here is my ...
