Pools were crowded, but OK if you want to see all the characters

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Magic

We chose this cruise because I experienced a Disney cruise as a teenager and had a great time, so I thought my 4 yr old would enjoy it. It turns out he is not really into Disney movies or characters, and that was about 25-35% of the onboard activities (meeting characters). The kids clubs for the under 10 crowd were also crowded and did not have a great kid to counselor ratio (I think the teen and ...

Captain missed the memo

7 day cruise left us feeling left out and shorted for our money. Captain said winds were too high to port in Jamaica.... never tried again. 4 other cruises were able to port on the same day. So we literally were at sea for no reason missing out on what was promised. If he was able to dock in San Juan (terrible storm) he could have dock in Jamaica. Disappointed with not docking... ...

What was done in dry dock????

I love Disney, and cruising with Disney, but there was something that was just not right on this sailing. We were excited to sail on the re-imagined Disney Wonder after her dry dock. Unfortunately, she looked a little worse for wear than a year ago (which was before the dry dock). I am not sure why the dry dock took so long as there were still quite a few areas in need of repair. Yes, they made ...

Grandkids had good time, two older ones loved bunk beds. Buffet had very small choice, dinner wasn't as good as other cruise lines we had been on, first night the service was very slow, next two nights, the 4 year old fell sleep every dinner at 6:30, between main course and desert, tire of waiting! The third night ship was rocking during dinner time, husband and daughter-in-law got sick, we ...

Disappointed, but still had a good time.

Although we are Disney nuts, and have never cruised on another line, this cruise was disappointing enough that we cancelled a future cruise with DCL and have decided to try another line. Also looking at a second different line for an additional cruise. We still had a great time, but on this cruise we did begin the process of thinking about value for money. That process continued for a couple of ...

Hello everyone,  Just got back yesterday from our Wonder cruise. It was our second cruise and our first with DCL. First off I would rate our cruise 7/10. Ship was in great condition, barely saw any signs of aging at all, was just almost always very clean and tidy (sometimes return towel bins would overflow lol) but overall VERY pretty and nice ship. The maintenance crew is doing an amazing job ...

This is my third cruise, first on Disney Cruise Line. The other two cruises were on NCL Pearl and Spirit, which was great. Disney Wonder is a old ship but really well maintained, you feel is newer. I went with my wife and 2 year old kid, which actually was his birthday onboard. They did a good job celebrating him on dinner. About the ports, we went to Falmouth, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and ...

First of all, I want to explain my wife and I have been on a few cruises in the past. We have always loved the experience and were hoping to really be blown away by DCL. We went all out and booked a concierge level suite for our family at a significant expense, but after all - you cannot place a price on a magical experience, could you? Embarkation I must admit, I was a little disappointed ...

Do NOT cruise Disney without kids

My husband (38) and I (37) love going to Disney World and have read a lot about the Disney Cruise line ships and when they announced 4nt cruises out of Galveston we decided to give them a try. We are avid cruisers with 18 cruises on various lines (Celebrity, MSC, Carnival, Princess, and RCI) in the last 10 years. We do not have children but did not think that would matter so much because the ...

This was my 12 Disney cruise, we are serious fans of Disney Cruise Line. We generally have nothing to complain about on a Disney cruise - but this time was more than surprised at the general state of the ship, and the problems popping up every day..... The service staff were excellent as usual. Some of the Live bands were well below standard. The theatre shows were, well, old.. seen the ...
