Magical Cruise!

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Disney Fantasy

We decided to cruise Disney as we were taking our son, his wife and our 5 year old grandson. This is a long post but I want to include everything I can think of. First of all, I need to state that this was our first cruise ever. We concluded that cruising is not our first choice - we love all-inclusive resorts. With that being said, Disney set the bar pretty high and I'm not sure we would ...

ONLY COMPLAINT: guests that save pool side seats before pools are even open-totally rude cruise guests-made a complaint with guest services!! Hope to see changes in the future. Recommend: We disembark with our luggage-skip looking for it in the terminal, go straight to customs. We disembark at our leisure during the second breakfast seating, not crowded in atrium or terminal. Would appreciate ...

Dont bother with Concierge / Suites - just get two connecting rooms

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Magic

First, I want to commend Andy (from Germany) and Michelle (from UK) on impeccable service and hospitality as the concierge hosts. They give everything of themselves every day and are great with children and guests and this is NOT a reflection on them or any other ship staff/cast members for that matter. But the concierge rooms at $8,500 for 5 days, or 4-5X what others pay, is a complete ...

Overcrowded, small and old cruise

Hi, I actually was very disappointed on my cruise trip. The ship was nothing I had imagine, it was a small and old cruise. I guess it's my fault for not doing the research but this is not what I had in mind. The service was great though, it was the only thing great of my trip: my hostess and our waiters. I was also very disappointed that everything I wanted to schedule for the trip was already ...

Amazing family vacation!

We loved our trip on the Disney Fantasy! Just about everything lived up to the high expectations we had and was well in line with other good reviews I've seen on this site. Embarkation was super easy. We had a port arrival time of 11 and pretty much breezed through security and check-in. We did have to wait another 30-45 minutes to board though. If you're staying near the port the night ...

Good experience (somewhat over hyped)

We waited for two years to take this cruise and alas it was not EVERYTHING that it was cracked up to be. I am a firm believer that great customer service is what makes a very memorable experience. We expected "Disney" level customer service but alas they were below par and unfortunately ended up being below average which was disappointing. Here is a breakdown: - Shows: Among the best. We ...

Arrival: ship is docked away from Old San Juan. Did not like that you could not just jump off and tour the town like other cruise lines. Needed a taxi for sure! Computers were slow and lines were long. Glad we went snorkeling and beached it before we arrived at 1:30PM. They did not announce our family as we entered. Not a big deal but my kids were looking forward to that part because they ...

Nice ship, cold bathrooms

We were on 2 back to back cruses, 4night, and 5 night, ending Feb 3-17. We were on bioard quickly which was nice, mom needs a handicapped room, 6654 so that one was big and the balcony was incredible. My one least favorite part was the public washrooms, they were extremely cold & uncomfortable, Like going to an outhouse, wasn't very pleasant. Also the buena vista theatre was frigid as well, ...

What was done in dry dock????

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Wonder

I love Disney, and cruising with Disney, but there was something that was just not right on this sailing. We were excited to sail on the re-imagined Disney Wonder after her dry dock. Unfortunately, she looked a little worse for wear than a year ago (which was before the dry dock). I am not sure why the dry dock took so long as there were still quite a few areas in need of repair. Yes, they made ...

Disney Delivers

This is our first Disney cruise and at first I was a little hesitant that it was worth the money. We traveled with a 4-year-old and my wife's mother. We had inside stateroom 7001. The only drawback I can say from the trip was our boarding was delayed due to inclement weather (fog) that had the port channel closed and would not allow vessels to leave or arrive. Disney gave a $25.00 per person ...
