The family and I recently returned from a 7-night voyage on the Disney Fantasy and outlined below is a very thorough review of the ship and ports of call visited. Our itinerary included stops at Tortola, St. Thomas and Castaway Cay. Our travelling group included me (35) my wife (33) and daughter (3.5). This was our fourth cruise and second with Disney. We have previously sailed the following: ...

This was our third Disney Cruise, our second with our boys. We booked the cruise well over a year in advance and had a lot of fun planning. We looked at this as one of our big trips, one of only a few we may have while the kids live with us. Finding affordable hotels with a family of five was difficult in San Juan. We stayed at the Embassy Suites which is very close to the airport. The ...

I cruised with my mom in January on the Disney Fantasy as a girls' trip. We had cruised on the Fantasy once before a few years ago so we had some idea of what to expect. Overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing time and I would recommend this trip to people/families of all ages. PRE-CRUISE: We stayed at the Hyatt MCO based on recommendations from others. My flight landed around midnight, so this ...

We are family of 2 adults and a 8 year old boy. We have sailed on Carnival and NCL and have wanted to try Disney but the price has been an issue. Luckily I was looking for a cruise last year in January about a year out and found a great rate on an Ocean view cabin. It was half of what you would pay for a similar cabin on the Dream out of Port Canaveral plus one extra port stop in Key West. ...

Wonderful Vacation!

Awesome and relaxing, best describes the 4 night cruise our family just took on Disney Magic. My husband and I are not too much into cruises but wanted to do this at least once. Now this will be a vacation idea we will entertain again. Having two other families with kids at the same age as our daughter made it much easier. Our 15 year old son suffered a bit without company but he also found ...

Great FAMILY Vacation

This was the first cruise my family had taken together and there was no better way to start than with a Disney Cruise. It absolutely lived up to all expectations. Embarkation was simple and quick. My daughter and I had our own room so we went down early to board. My hubby picked up the boys from taking their finals and came down later. Both groups had easy experiences. With 5 people ...

We have been on 3 Princess cruises and 1 Celebrity. To me these are adult cruises. My daughter wanted us to go with the family on a Disney cruise. We agreed knowing this was going to be all about the kids..and it was. To me..and this is just me, if you don't have kids or grand kids, I personally wouldn't go on a Disney cruise because there are a LOT of kids. Everywhere. And this was in ...

Fantastic Cruise!

My family has always been a "Disney" family and trips to WDW are common. My sister/brother wanted to cruise, so here we were. As our vacations normally consist of trips to Sandals adult all inclusive resorts we were concerned about a Disney cruise and a higher number of children on the ship, over a "normal" cruise line. It's hard to describe, but this is not an issue. While there are lots of kids ...

This is our 2nd Disney cruise, our first on the Fantasy. Our group was myself and my two adult children. The magic of Disney is ageless, and I find that the older one gets, the more you appreciate it, understanding how much work, dedication, excellence, goes into creating something so flawlessly amazing. The Fantasy is a gorgeous ship - art nouveau throughout, lots of wood, wide decks - ...

Stayed at the Holiday Inn in Galveston. Overlooked the ocean. Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Free parking, free shuttle to the ship. So far so good. Got to the pier at 11:30. Checked in and waited to board the ship. Our number was called and we were greeted by name as we boarded the ship. The Disney Wonder was smaller than other ships and a bit older. But.... It was gorgeous. Clean, ...
