Our family and friends choose this cruise out of our nearby port of Galveston. We Grandparents are experienced cruisers (52x). This is NOT a luxury cruise, the young kids were not thrilled with the care centers, entertainment ok for kids but very poor for adults, and food was extraordinarily bland and unavailable. Very limited food available after a show for hungry kids waiting for late dining ( ...
We have a 6-year old granddaughter & thought this would be a great cruise to take with her. However, it turned out to be not so great. The internet is awful, extremely expensive even if all you need to do is to send a short (all word) e-mail to keep our granddaughter's Mom informed about a stomach issue she had. We took an excursion that cost us over $300 for the 3 of us that would not let us ...
I love cruising, I love kids, I love Disney! I’m still waiting for the WOW and we are home after 4 nights on this worst trip ever! The ship is gorgeous, the staff is incredible, but the food is disgusting and the wait times for a character picture is ridiculous. Why anyone would subject themselves to this when you can spend less and stay at Disney and have a great experience - I have no idea! The ...
We have been on several Disney Cruise vacations in the past and had a wonderful time but this past experience was a huge disappointment. We were on one of the Christmas holiday cruises on the Fantasy and I must say this was the worst vacation by far we have ever experienced. To start with our room was great and the room attendant was wonder, but because of the location of our room we really could ...
I booked adjoining cabins. We had a 19 month old child with us and I was still recovering from a major knee injury. It didn't take long for us to hear quite loudly the sounds of hammering, drilling and sawing coming from the cabin next to mine. We complained and was told they would look into it. Next day same sounds only louder waking both me and my granddaughter up from naps. We were told ...
We had the worst cruise of our lifetime. After returning from the cruise I had to take my husband and son to the ER all the family members that went on this cruise are sick. First of all the boat was very rocky and when we spoke to the cruise staff they said at this time of the year from Galveston the cruises are all like this. As a matter of fact in 2013 the whole ship was sick out of Galveston ...
This was by far the most expensive cruise I've ever sailed and by far my least favorite. The staff was a miserable group of college students. They talked about how they were under contract for 6 months and couldn't wait for it to end because they all hated worked for Disney. The food was horrible!!! The main dining room offered Bison, ox tail, wild boar, etc. with very few (sometimes no) ...
My two kids were 5 and 8 years old. I've heard plenty of times on the cruise, "dad, I'm bored." There was nothing for them to do on the cruise.
I don't know about you but for vacation I don't like dropping off my kids at day care. That was the kids club that was available to us. The two times that I dropped off my kids at the oceaniers club or pixie hollow, they were bored. My son played ...
You may wonder why a person who hates television, movies, and companies like Disney would go on a Disney cruise. Don't ask. Despite my warped view, I think I can still offer a somewhat objective view of the cruise experience, but take my views with a grain of salt given the foregoing.
The Good:
1. Crew. Disney staff were extremely professional, and overall seemed to really like what they do. ...
You would think that my husband and I were on a different cruise from the one that our 18 year old took. She had a fantastic time, all the time. Our cruise had a few ups, but mostly downs. We should tell you that this is our fourth Disney cruise, and probably our last.
Employees - The best! I don't know how Disney does it, but they have the most pleasant employees in the world.
Dining - All ...
