Going back to Fantasy- Crew working harder to overcome a poorly designed ship resulting in low cast member morale

Review for Disney Wish to Bahamas

This is our 8th Disney Cruise. Our children who are now teenagers and young adults have grown up on DCL. We have sailed on all of the ships, with the Fantasy being our favorite. Bottomline up front: The ship is poorly designed. Too many times people are forced to bottleneck at certain places. Restaurants are awkwardly split in two. The interior design has no unifying theme. It looks like ...

Endless disappointment

My husband, son (4) and I recently traveled on the Wish with our friends and their 8 year old daughter. We are big Disney fans, travel to Disney world multiple times a year, the cruise seemed like a natural progression. My husband has been on several cruises and was very excited for my son and I to go on our first cruise. We did a significant amount of research leading up to the trip, planned our ...

Very Different Cruising Experience, but they have all things Disney covered

Mom and 2-17 year old twin girls that love Disney. We have had a Disney cruise on our bucket list and since they are leaving home it was a great Christmas gift. We had no expectations, other than everyone telling us we would LOVE it. We've cruised on Royal, NCL, Carnival, Princess and Celebrity previously. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived at port around 1 PM and were on the ship in ...

The cruise was costly, but the food poisoning was free

My family and I sailed on Disney Wish December 19-23. The ship was beautifully decorated and new, obviously. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was good. The positives stop there. The pools are very small and oddly located. We had a very rough passage to and from the Bahamas. On the last night my 12 & 14 year old daughters got food poisoning. They started throwing up at 10 pm. ...

DISAPPOINTING

Review for Disney Wish to Bahamas

We have sailed on the Dream, Fantasy, Magic so decided to try the brand new Wish.. The ship is beautiful but that's where it ends.. The common areas are just small.. The atrium, dining rooms, adult sections are all small. Whoever designed really screwed it up! The adult areas are tiny.. good luck getting a seat at the bayou or nightingales at prime time. The atrium is also much smaller than ...

Wish is the Newest but not the Best

This is our 8th Disney Cruise. We also own a travel planning business and are HUGE Disney supporters. Comparatively speaking, we were quite disappointed in this cruise. Much of what makes a Disney Cruise different and magical has been lost on the Wish. Where to begin? Ship Layout - This is probably the most stark difference between the Fantasy and Dream. The layout of the Wish is not ...

Mixed feelings about the new Disney Wish

Review for Disney Wish to Bahamas

We’ve been on all of the Disney ships and we were looking to see how the Wish compared to the others. Bottom line, we will not plan to sail on the Wish again. We prefer the retro classic decor of the first four ships over this one. The layout is also confusing and we don’t particularly like having to take three different elevators to get to deck 13. This is one for you to experience if you ...

I wanted to take some time and writer a thorough on our Disney Wish experience. I have read a lot of mixed reviews about the ship the cruising experience. For some background, this is our first Disney Cruise. My husband and I were traveling with our 3 children ages 3, 5, and 7. My husband and I have cruised on royal Caribbean and Celebrity in the past. The stateroom was great. We stayed in a ...

The crew is great - the ship design has flaws.

We wanted to try the new Disney ship! We've been on the other 4 and loved it. Not so much with the Wish. The crew was great, the wait staff did their best to work in crowded dining rooms but there were large and small design flaws in the ship and the cabin we were in. We have been on other cruise ships and all of the ships have a deck you can walk around. On the Wish, the walking deck is half ...

Beautiful ship but...

Review for Disney Wish to Bahamas

Ship is beautifully appointed and service is top notch. However the layout leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of venues were hidden around corners or down long corridors. There was a whole bunch of venues we never saw until the end of the cruise because we simply didn't know they existed just by walking around the ship (Rose, Palo, and Enchante to be specific). The adults only pool area is ...
