Magical and Amazing

Review for Disney Dream to Bahamas

Disney magic at it's best. From the activities to the live shows to the food, it's wonderful. The staff is SO GOOD especially the servers who are with you at each night at the restaurant you are at. Disney music is always playing wherever you go as well. Fun destinations like Castaway Cay. I enjoyed getting to know the other people on the cruise in the different clubs. Playing basketball with ...

Finding Our Way In The Fog

Review for Disney Wonder to Mexican Riviera

We are Disney fans and have only cruised once before, 18 years ago, on the Disney Wonder on a three-night itinerary in the Bahamas. This was our return to cruising. The Port of San Diego is within driving distance for us so not having airfare costs was helpful. My husband and I are in our mid-fifties and we were traveling with our adult son who is in his mid-twenties. We booked a guaranteed ...

Not as good as we hoped.

Review for Disney Fantasy to Caribbean - Eastern

1) Disney does a fantastic job with the kids and activities on a whole. But they have a LOT of room for improvement in the bookings and 3-5 age group. First the Oceaneer Lab/Club. There are many 3 yo who aren't comfortable leaving their parents (or parents who actually don't mind playing with their kids!) and to only have open house for 2 hrs a day during breakfast and dinner for that age group ...

Disney Cruise Line introduced Pixar-themed cruise for winter 2023, replacing Star Wars Day at sea. Overall, the concept is well executed and would have broader appeal than Star Wars, while also attracting a very different crowd. Kids are much younger, which means that the two teens clubs are not as busy. Overall, the Disney Fantasy remains in excellent shape. No maintenance issue in our cabin, ...

First Time Disney, Great Cabins

Review for Disney Dream to Caribbean - Western

Disney charges quite a premium over other cruise lines. I found a date that was relatively affordable for Disney so I booked it. I travel with my husband and adult daughter which usually requires a mini-suite or suite on most other lines. I booked the Deluxe Family Oceanview Veranda and it was plenty of space for the three of us. The split bathroom proved to be very useful as well. We had a ...

Just empty your pockets on the way in and don't expect anything in return

The crew are amazing. Let me get that out of the way. They appear to work at least 12 hour days and went to great lengths to help us on our stay. They are the redeeming factor of this whole experience. First off, the price for this cruise was insane compared to other cruises. That made sense due to the IP and the Disney experiences you wouldn't get on another cruise. I wish when we were booking ...

Pools were crowded, but OK if you want to see all the characters

Review for Disney Magic to Caribbean - Western

We chose this cruise because I experienced a Disney cruise as a teenager and had a great time, so I thought my 4 yr old would enjoy it. It turns out he is not really into Disney movies or characters, and that was about 25-35% of the onboard activities (meeting characters). The kids clubs for the under 10 crowd were also crowded and did not have a great kid to counselor ratio (I think the teen and ...

Great Marvel Day at Sea

I chose this cruise because my daughter is a Marvel fanatic. It did not disappoint for her. We have cruised Disney before and their service, entertainment and accommodations are fantastic. However, the dining room was a nightmare. First night was animators pallet and we felt very cramped, as I was seated right next to a large pole. They had music playing and also a turtle taking on one of ...

Fantastic Merrytime cruise

Review for Disney Wonder to Mexican Riviera

We hadn’t been on a Disney cruise since 2011, despite cruising at least once per year (Four this year alone!!!) since 2004. We most frequently use Carnival for cost and convenience on the west coast, but used Holland America for the first time this past summer to Alaska. We were very anxious to get back on the Wonder for our fourth Disney cruise, and left the adult kids behind for a parents only ...

High price for low quality

This cruise was my daughter's dream vacation for years. We scripted and saved to make it happen. The crew was an absolute delight and the ship was immaculate, but that is where the good ends. The food at the evening dinner service was on par with your local hospital. It desperately lacked seasoning. The gumbo was tomato soup with okra and tiny specks of seafood. One seafood pasta dish was so ...
