We were a group of 11, spanning in age from 73 to 3. All in all, we really enjoyed ourselves and were more impressed by the cruise than we expected to be. Our cabins were even better than we hoped, and were very comfortable both for those in our party traveling solo and for our families of 3 and 4 to a cabin. The highs: 1. Easily, the most friendly and engaging staff on the ship were the ...

My wife and I are frequent Holland America cruisers and have sailed Princess during out honeymoon in Bora Bora. By all means, we are seasoned travelers. Disney cruise was never something I would have picked however having a 2 year old daughter, we had to try it out. We received a $200 on-board credit. What surprised me the most was the staff and service that they provided. It was beyond ...

DCL Magic, Staff and Service Top Notch! Port Excursions were disappointing!

This was our third Disney Cruise. Had it not been for poor experiences on shore excursions I would have given it an excellent rating. This ship, the Disney port staff and ship staff were excellent. In our opinion Disney Cruise Lines is top notch and worth the price. Our dining room servers, Jimson and Gerry were GREAT!!!. The food was excellent. The stateroom was well maintained by our ...

Overall appearance - Disney Cruise Line is a must for fans of Disney. Having visited Disney World, Florida and Disneyland, Paris we had high expectations and being first time cruisers we were unsure of what to expect. Of course Disney didn't fail in providing a one of kind experience for my partner and I, and one that will be remembered for years to come. The Disney Magic is the oldest of ...

Travelled with my two Grandchildren aged 7 and 10 who loved the ship, and were happy with just about everything on it! I wasn't so easily impressed and I don't really know how I feel after the cruise The positives - - the Adults food was mostly great (did not enjoy a very tough rib eye in Cariocas - and was ignored when I commented), I enjoyed the few meals that we had in the Buffet in ...

Great and Not so Great

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Disney Magic

We found that this experience was both more and less than expected. Good stuff--Crew were fabulous!! Best ever Soda free- but not mixed correctly in fountains. Big shows were fabulous. Cold refridgerators in stateroom-no minibar stuff in the way. Not so Good--- VERY noisy ship. Everything creeks and groans more than any ship we have been on. The officers do not seem to consider the comfort of ...

My party consisted of me (Mum, husband and daughter aged 9. My daughter is a huge Disney Princesses fan and I am a huge fan of cruises. We have sailed with Royal Caribbean and Carnival several times. We chose the Disney Cruise because my daughter hates huge crowds and loud noises. We therefore thought that Orlando or Paris would be unsuitable. So when the bargain prices were offered for this ...

DCL had a fabulous deal on its May Med cruises of a category 12 guarantee plus kids sail free. We paid almost nothing for the cruise fare for the 4 of us. So, I decided it was time to give DCL a try. There was me, mom, 45+, DS14, DD11 and DS4. We had sailed several ships in RCCL's fleet and one Carnival ship previously. I had never been to the Mediterranean before. The Magic visited 7 ports in ...

Disney Magic, May in the Mediterranean

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Disney Magic

We booked the 5/15/10, 11-night sailing in December enticed by discounts and the Mediterranean itinerary. This was the first cruise for our family of four (parents plus two elementary-school age boys). Typically, we are a family that camps or enjoys condo/cabin rental on our own, so we were nervous about the structure of the cruise. The following is our quick impression of the cruise experience. ...

This is a long review! Skip to the end for a good and bad summary. I was travelling with my partner on the 11 night cruise departing from Barcelona. We live just down the coast and wanted a cruise with no flying. 18 months ago we had taken a trip on Norwegian Jade and had not liked the ship. Both being Disney fans and knowing the reputation for service and attention to detail we jumped at the ...
