This was a seven-night Star Wars Day at Sea cruise sailing the western Caribbean. While the cruise was fun with lots of activities on board for children and adults, it was spoiled because of the terrible cabin we had, stateroom 2018 on deck 2 midship. The cruise had a few nights with rough seas, and we couldn't sleep because of a loud banging noise coming from the deck below. Although Guest ...
This is the 8th Disney cruise that the family has gone on. We’ve done 7 consecutive years around President’s Day weekend, and one Alaskan cruise. It’s difficult for me to assess whether or not the number of times we’ve gone has simply taken away from the overall experience, or if service has deteriorated a bit.
First off, the ship is always in very good shape. It’s spotless. It’s ...
We had three cabins one deck below Concierge level. Four adults, three children under 5. We, the grandparents have done about 30 cruises, never on Disney.
It started off bad with enormous lineups as far as the parking garage as the check in computer system was down for over an hour.
Small room, mattress one of those that when your spouse moved you moved up and down too. Barely queen size ...
I am a safety-minded (ok, neurotic) mom of two kids. I was looking for the safest cruise, and, having never been on cruises before, wanted to start with a short one. Thus Disney, thus 3 days.
Embarkation was AWFUL. We showed up on time and waited for what must have been about 2 hours.
Cabin was GREAT. Size and configuration exceeded any expectations.
Food was very very average. Not a lot ...
This was my 2nd Disney cruise and my 3rd time cruising. The last Disney cruise was to Alaska on the Wonder, and it was the best vacation ever! So I made a prepayment and couldn't wait to go on another Disney cruise again. Well, this latest cruise would only rate a 6 out of 10. Avoid rooms that have an adjoining interior door with the neighboring room, such as 1050 and 1052. My neighbors had an ...
We chose this cruise because our 3 year old grand-daughter is obsessed with Disney. Our Grand-daughter enjoyed this cruise and overall I thought it was a good solid cruise experience. However, I did not feel it was a good value for the money and overall it was just ok. For what I paid for this cruise, it should have been extraordinary and it just wasn't.
We were on the eight day Halloween ...
I am a Disney Fan, so I was excited to take my family on the Disney Dream cruise. I had such high expectations and for the most part, all of them were exceeded.
The welcoming on the boat, made us feel so special.
The shows and performances were like broadway productions.
The restaurants, even the main dining experiences were 5 star
A few things that I did not like
The character ...
Embarkation in Miami a bit rocky, the check in was not well staffed in addition to enormous amount of first time cruisers, everyone confused & slow, slow, slow. Stateroom needed much attention lots of patchwork, shower loose and sprayed water from neck, missing caulking to messy over caulked area's and the noise, you could not get away from it on the 8th deck, do not book an stateroom with a ...
For the price, my family and I were disappointed with our first ever Disney Cruise.
Pros:
1) We really enjoyed the shows. The Frozen performance, in particular, was spectacular! It was truly Broadway-caliber!
2) The rotating dinner was very special. You rotate between three restaurants: Triton's, Tatiana's Place, and the Animator's Palate. Each had a different type of cuisine and really ...
This was our 3rd Disney cruise. They cost more be we always end up going back because of the cleanliness, outstanding service and food. Well I guess it was 2 out of three this timew. The servers in restaurant and service overall was outstanding. The steward that cleaned our room was wonderful. The ship was clean and beautifully maintained. The food-to put it mildly was very disappointing. ...
