Not for Grown Ups

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Fantasy

Please do not believe Disney's advertising, these are not cruises for adults without children. My wife and I have taken over 50 cruises of 7 days and longer over the last 35 years and have enjoyed cruising over much of the world. This is the first time I told my wife and daughter I would have rather burned a bag of money than had to endure the Disney Cruise Experience. Had the pleasure of ...

Worst Cruise on Disney; Very Disappointed

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Disney Wonder

We had the worst cruise of our lifetime. After returning from the cruise I had to take my husband and son to the ER all the family members that went on this cruise are sick. First of all the boat was very rocky and when we spoke to the cruise staff they said at this time of the year from Galveston the cruises are all like this. As a matter of fact in 2013 the whole ship was sick out of Galveston ...

Let me start by saying my family and I stayed in 8016, a two bedroom suite on the concierge level, and I would highly recommend it to anyone! The accommodations were fabulous, felt extremely spacious, and well appointed. No matter what room type you decide on, I would encourage anyone to splurge on the concierge level. I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff, Julia and Andy, who run ...

Overpriced and overrated

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Dream

Disney Dream is not designed properly for masses of passengers it carries. Public areas are always overwhelmingly crowded, pools, buffet and even elevators. Rooms were very comfortable but once you stepped out into the hallway the nightmare started. Narrow long hallways always had housekeeping carts and food trays on the floor no matter what time of day, add people passing from opposite direction ...

I hate Disney, so this is not an objective review

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Magic

You may wonder why a person who hates television, movies, and companies like Disney would go on a Disney cruise. Don't ask. Despite my warped view, I think I can still offer a somewhat objective view of the cruise experience, but take my views with a grain of salt given the foregoing. The Good: 1. Crew. Disney staff were extremely professional, and overall seemed to really like what they do. ...

Disney does not disappoint

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Dream

This being my first cruise experience, perhaps it is common practice to nickel and dime guests every step of the way, to which Disney does not disappoint. "All inclusive" (with the exception of alcohol of any kind) was the expectation going into the experience. Not so much the outcome. Room service 24/7 was to be included in the "all inclusive". Room service menu options allow you to order ...

Disney Magic: A fantastic disappointment

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Magic

A little background. We are "lite" cruisers. We enjoy a cruise every few years. We have greatly enjoyed cruises with royal Caribbean, and to a lesser extend, Norwegian. This was our first cruise with a child. We logically thought disney would be a good option, but in fact it was a disappointment. Wee had high expectations as this cruise was at least double the price per night of any other we had ...

My family and I have recently returned home from our four night Bahamian cruise from April 21st through the 25th on the Disney Dream. In our party was myself and my two year old son, my mother, and my three younger brothers and sister (age 11, 7, and 6), and my grandmother. I am not the type of person to complain, and I always try to find the positive in a situation, and have never written a ...

Huge, huge, disappointment!!!

May 14-18, 2012, I surprised my 8 year old son by taking him on the Disney Magic for his birthday present. I found the price of the trip to be fairly reasonable and my thought was that I could get the excitement of Disney and the luxury of a cruise all in one. My excitement was extremely short lived. At the terminal we were pleased to see Mickey Mouse!! Just as soon as we got in line to meet ...

Oops

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Dream

I recently sailed on the Disney Dream with my 19 year old son and 23 year old daughter. They had sailed Disney before. They were bored, bored, bored. My 19 year old watched enviously as the teen club had their own deck space and a myriad of activities throughout the day. My 23 year old did not want to be stuck with the old folks and there was very little for her to do. So, if you are under ...
