Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Magic

Traveled with family group of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids aged 5-9). Same group traveled to Disney World last October. No issues with embarking from Port of Miami. Cabin rooms were fine, as we knew we would not be spending much time in the rooms. Statesroom attendant (Calvin) was fantastic. Super-friendly - the kids loved the towel creatures he created each day. He also rotated the sheets on the ...

Second time on the Dream, not as Dreamy as the first.

Second cruise with DCL. First was on the Dream in 2011. Have cruise plenty of other cruise lines in between our DCL cruises. Enjoyed our first trip on the Dream that we thought we'd try it again. This time with a 16 and a 14 year old. We stayed in stateroom 6582. Goodluck was our stateroom attendant, and he was FANTASTIC. Our room was definitely showing it's age compared to when we first ...

After enjoying 19 years of Disney cruising, many changes for the worse.

We used to be BIG fans of Disney cruises. We just went on our 7th and were rather disappointed. The things that we loved, especially the kids club and character meetings, have been ruined. We took our first Disney Cruise on the Magic my youngest was 3. The Lil' Cruisers (ages 3-5) were in the Oceaneers Club. The Older kids, including my daughter, went to the Oceaneers Lab. It as perfect! Now, all ...

Disney is becoming too greedy !

We wanted our grand kids to be immersed in Disney, meet their characters, and experience a first cruise with this atmosphere. Upon signing up, and of course it is expensive, many limitations (cancellation, per Disney, is not lenient) , it was essentially impossible, from the get go, to obtain tickets for the kids to see characters at 'meet and greet' (aka, a total overkill to obtain profit ). ...

Very different cruising experience

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Magic

I have cruised with Disney once before, and that experience was a 10 out of 10. But now, 5 years later its a very different experience. We took our cruise during an interesting time, during our trip DCL was hosting some Disney bloggers and those bloggers soured this trip for us. My fiance and I wouldn't normally take a Disney cruise as a solo get away, but due to inheriting some DVC points ...

This was our first Disney Cruise. We brought our 4 and 5 year old granddaughters. As a seasoned cruiser on other lines ( 35 cruises), we were overall disappointed in our cruise. The dining times-5:45 for first seating was late for little children. The shows were late as well. 8:30 for the first seating. The production shows were great but the other programs were not interesting for little ...

Just returned from a 4-day Very Merrytime Bahamian cruise aboard the Disney Dream; this was our third cruise on the Dream and second using concierge. However this was our first 4-day cruise on Disney and compared to the 3-day, this cruise was packed with people. We were also celebrating 2 Birthdays. Although Disney cruises focus on kids, there are plenty of adult activities. The shows are ...

Chilly dinners

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Disney Fantasy

A lot of our food was served at room temperature. With long gaps between the courses. We've done 3 cruises on the Dream and were very happy. This cruise on the Fantasy the food and dining room service was not as good. Would have like some movies geared to an audience of other than children. Disembarkation was not organized! It was a free for all to leave the ship. Families were ...

Our 26 family members have been planning this cruise for over a year . My wife and I sail with Celebrity Aqua twice a year, so are used to fabulous food and over the top service, others had sailed RCCL, and one Silversea. But for most of us, this was our first Disney. I think to sum it up, they have a very devoted following, so they don’t try as hard to please as other lines. Embarkation was slow. ...

10 Things You Need to Know - The Magic is Gone

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Magic

Here are 10 Quick Things You need to know 1. This ship is over 20 years old and it shows. From rusty spots on the balconies to musty smells in the rooms, this ship is definitely showing it's age. 2. The dinner food is mediocre. It's served lukewarm because they're serving hundreds of people at once so chances are your food was waiting to be delivered to your table while they got all the ...
