Not a very Disney ship

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Wish

We were excited to book on the Disney Wish and hoped it would be like our other experiences on Disney's other ships, we were overall pretty disappointed. We were a party of 6 adults and 4 kids ages 3-6 and are admitted Disney enthusiasts. Embarkation was slow and there really isn't much for kids to do in the cruise terminal. Once on board the Grand Hall was nice but seemed a little plastic, ...

It's all true - the good and the bad

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Wish

The Disney Wish is artistically beautiful, but functionally flawed. We left this vacation unhappy. My wife and I have four daughters and we have done many Disney trips and several Disney cruises before, as well as some cruises on other cruise lines. Even though the Wish is really expensive and only does short cruises, which are both painful things, I bought into the marketing about how ...

Spring Break Chaos

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Disney Dream

We chose this cruise to have a family vacation during our grandson's Spring Break. So we have always gone to Disney since our children 39 and 37 were young but it has gotten so hectic at the parks we thought we would try a cruise. It is like being in the parks on a packed day! The dining room is so full of tables your servers have trouble bringing your food. If anyone has a disability they are ...

The Wish Excels in Some Areas, Underwhelms in Others.

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Wish

Being a fan of many things Disney, I was eager to sail on their newest ship, The Wish. I knew someone who had sailed on it last Fall and they spoke of the excellence of Arendale and the beauty of the artwork on the ship. Well, that's about it. I have been on 5 other Disney Cruises and this was this was the sixth and most underwhelming of them all. The ship is poorly designed, there are only ...

Not as good as we hoped.

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Disney Fantasy

1) Disney does a fantastic job with the kids and activities on a whole. But they have a LOT of room for improvement in the bookings and 3-5 age group. First the Oceaneer Lab/Club. There are many 3 yo who aren't comfortable leaving their parents (or parents who actually don't mind playing with their kids!) and to only have open house for 2 hrs a day during breakfast and dinner for that age group ...

Going back to Fantasy- Crew working harder to overcome a poorly designed ship resulting in low cast member morale

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Wish

This is our 8th Disney Cruise. Our children who are now teenagers and young adults have grown up on DCL. We have sailed on all of the ships, with the Fantasy being our favorite. Bottomline up front: The ship is poorly designed. Too many times people are forced to bottleneck at certain places. Restaurants are awkwardly split in two. The interior design has no unifying theme. It looks like ...

A very honest review

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Wish

We have been on all the Disney Ships starting in 2001. We have sailed with Disney now 15 times, so of course we had to experience the Disney Wish. We did a back-to-back this time as we needed a full week to explore without feeling rushed. First we did the 3 day cruise in Veranda stateroom 7028. Unfortunately we could not keep the same cabin as it was not available. The 4 day was in Veranda ...

The cruise was costly, but the food poisoning was free

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Wish

My family and I sailed on Disney Wish December 19-23. The ship was beautifully decorated and new, obviously. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was good. The positives stop there. The pools are very small and oddly located. We had a very rough passage to and from the Bahamas. On the last night my 12 & 14 year old daughters got food poisoning. They started throwing up at 10 pm. ...

Mixed feelings about the new Disney Wish

Review for a Bahamas Cruise on Disney Wish

We’ve been on all of the Disney ships and we were looking to see how the Wish compared to the others. Bottom line, we will not plan to sail on the Wish again. We prefer the retro classic decor of the first four ships over this one. The layout is also confusing and we don’t particularly like having to take three different elevators to get to deck 13. This is one for you to experience if you ...

DCL has Long Covid... The 'Disney Difference' is fast disappearing

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Disney Fantasy

It’s taken some time to get my head around writing this review of the Disney Fantasy, mainly as Disney is my favourite Cruise line, and I couldn’t quite pinpoint why we didn’t enjoy this cruise. Our first comment to each other on the first full day on this cruise was a spontaneous “I'm not into this’. We felt a little depressed (and it was my Birthday ... lol ) Having started crushing with ...
