The ship is beautiful but was 500 passengers overloaded and way under staffed. Thanksgiving week.
Our excursion guide was 45 minutes late for a 4 hr $250 trip. We returned early because there was a 2nd group waiting. We got 3 hrs of our 4 hrs paid for.

This was our 17th Princess cruise (26th overall for me) and our 3rd on Discovery. We had originally been booked on the 2/26/22 "Love Boat" cruise on Majestic Princess which was rescheduled by Princess due to Covid. This was our 3rd time doing a Mexican Riviera itinerary. We had cruised earlier this year on Majestic Princess (a sister Royal-Class ship to Discovery) and loved the experience. But as with Majestic, we had some issues, many related to the Medallion app (note: the actual Medallion itself worked flawlessly).

After 3 years finally a return to cruising and Discovery Princess didn't disappoint. Overall an excellent cruise with a few minor blips but that is to be expected.

Back in 2015, my wife and I took a 10 night repositioning cruise from New York to Ft. Lauderdale on REGAL PRINCESS. Despite the ship having a few quirks, we had an amazing time.
