This is the first time we have been on a Cunard ship so we had high expectations. Taking into consideration the ship is on a world cruise the ship is visually in very poor condition externally and this continues to the outside areas once you board the ship. Rust everywhere, ripped and filthy seating In all areas. The inside public areas are in better condition and are well ...
We are in our early 60's and fit and healthy. The Cunard line represented to us elegance, fine dining and an association with the Grand Queens of the Sea.
Though there were some good points to the ship including the Common Areas, the Afternoon Tea, Library and some entertainment, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired.
We were in Cabin 6123 Starboard with balcony. We were ...
We also left San Francisco 2/5/18 for Sydney on Q2. The Itinerary was great, the Ship clean, and the crew professional. However, with a number of 4-5 day stretches at sea, one would expect some professional entertainment and varied daytime activities. During the day your choice was basically the library, a very small pool, or boring lectures. At night, the entertainment was dull and amateurish. To ...
We chose this ship for a very special holiday. It was our 55 wedding anniversary and my wife birthday and my 80th. We paid top money for a good kabin. We paid £16.500.00 For the trip. Flying to Hong Kong and sailing back to Southampton. The facilities on the ship where all overcrowded. The buffet in the day was good that is when you could find a table. The evening meals were very poor. All the ...
To enjoy a leisurely time visiting various far east ports we had looked forward to this cruise for months, unfortunately the reality proved to be a disappointment. The embarkation was a slow process, which we christened FTS,( ie.. first time syndrome - perhaps they had never done this before!) This FTS continued throughout the cruise with poor organisation apparently emanating from the purser's ...
we chose this ship to celebrate our Diamond wedding anniv on the day of departure (I was actually born on the day QM was launched) and its juicy itinerary. .having cruised about 120 times all around the world the three places that had most appeal were first timers for us Okinawa, Taiwan & Brunei persuaded us to pay up 16 months before cruise commenced. imagine our horror when we received an email ...
We have cruised 5 times on other lines but this was a "Bucket List" cruise for us. We felt we were very lucky to get any disability cabin, let alone in Princess Grill. Embarkation in Sydney was fairly smooth, and we were on board in about 30 minutes, with our luggage waiting for us at the suite. We have a small electric wheelchair which is the same size as a normal wheelchair, but entry through ...
The itinerary appealed to me and the time of year was perfect. I was led to believe that Cunard were an upmarket company but several things were not up to standard. Having sailed on several ships with companies as diverse as Thompson, Fred Olsen, MSC, Royal Caribbean, P and O, Princess,Holland America and Azamara I would place Cunard somewhere in the middle.
My cabin was fine with an amazing ...
Cunard was chosen based on refreshing standards and a £90-million transformation in 2016. QM2's refurbishment. Embarkation took five to six hours no refreshments etc very poor service a lot of time wasted all stuffed into a small area poor communication .After receiving a reply, it seems they are not willing to take the welfare of the very charming elderly cruisers on the leg of the Cape town ...
First of all I apologise in advance to all the Cunard lovers on here.
Start with the positives (this won't take long!).
It was cheap deal!

We should have known after our recent wonderful experiences with Viking Ocean Cruises that it was going to ...
