Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Queen Victoria

We chose this cruise to combine three things. To revisit San Francisco, to cruise on QV for a second time, and to transit the Panama Canal. Overall we were not disappointed. Our 4th time overall with Cunard, they continue to provide a quality experience, for which we did, admittedly pay a high price. Suite, food, staff service, entertainment were excellent, as previously experienced. The ...

We joined the ship in Sydney, heading for Los Angeles, about 28 nights. We have been with Cunard on many cruises, but this was the longest cruise we have taken. Embarkation was quick and efficient. Our luggage was in our room before we arrived. The stateroom was wonderful, room 5097 in the Princess Grill. The food in the restaurant could not be faulted.Every meal was a treat, and the service we received ...

Since we were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary, we wanted a special cruise and at the same time sample a Cunard ship. As we didn't see much of San Francisco and Hawaii when we visited six months prior this cruise gave us the chance to see both for longer. We enjoyed the activates on board, in particular darts and trivia's, the entertainment staff were the best we have ever ...

Very Pleasant Surprise

We were completely surprised by our experiences on board Queen Victoria. After our last cruise where my husband’s gluten and corn intollerances were completely ignored and he became very ill, we had given up on cruising. Thank goodness we trusted Cunard. They came through with flying colours, from the wait staff to the head waiter and chef, they understood the problem and we felt very ...

By Far the Best of the 3 Cruises We Have Done

We travelled with 2 other older couples, and thoroughly enjoyed Cunard's formula for enjoyable cruising. Compared with previous cruises, we were pleased that here were few children on board - must be showing our age! We have few complaints, although some minor suggestions for improvements. We had 5 formal nights, but being on the late dinner sitting we missed the celebrations for Ascot, etc. ...

Fabulous Festive Debut!!!

We travelled on Queen Elizabeth's Festive Debut as virgin Cunarders, and we weren't disappointed. We boarded swiftly and were greeted, by smiling crew, all offering to help as we were travelling with my mother and two small children. The cabin size was fantastic, we had 3 cabins, my mother in one and the 2 cabins between my husband myself and the 2 children, unfortunately one of ...

Queen Mary 2 "Caribbean Calypso" 10 night Princess Grill Suite Jan 3, 2009 Embarkation: Considering that it was a record day for passenger traffic through the Port Everglades, FL - nearly 50,000 passengers with ten ships in port - embarkation was especially smooth. I speak only for grill-class passengers as we were onboard early in the afternoon after only a brief wait indoors in air ...

This was an eagerly anticipated first trip on the QM2 booked in Feb 07. Our original ports of call included Limon, Costa Rica but this was cancelled by Cunard in December 07 and Barbados added as the alternative. No reason was given for the change in itinerary. The new itinerary was New York, Cristobal (for the Panama Canal), Curacao, Bonaire, Barbados, St Lucia, St Thomas, New York. We sailed ...

After very long flights from Australia, my husband Fred and I had a chilly weather welcome to New York. The Wingate Inn Midtown was an excellent choice for our stay in Manhattan. Only twelve months old this accommodation included complimentary breakfasts and free internet service. Boy... did I enjoy those make-yourself waffles! It is only half a block from Macy's Department Store so the position ...

My wife and I have been on eight cruises, three of which have been on the Queen Mary 2. We are in our early 40's with two boys ages 9 and 3. We usually go on two cruises per year. One with the kids and one without the kids. The QM2 is the one without the kids. We love this ship and here are some details of our most recent sailing. Embarkation - Was a complete disaster. Ft. Lauderdale is too ...
