Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

We wanted to complete an earlier world cruise, and so booked the 49 day Sydney to New York cruise. We love the QM2 and continue to love it. After the Covid pause we were a bit worried as to what shape the ship would be in, but we found it to be in good shape. Things are returning to normal. The ship was very clean, and the deck crew was putting a lot of time and effort into painting. As usual, ...

In writing this review I am comparing with the other cruise lines I have been with. These include P&O, Princess and Marella formerly known as TUI (Thompson). I have to say I have never been on a bad cruise (14 so far) and I always wonder why people leave such low scores. Yes, I too have had issues on a ship but they have always resolved them with no stress. However, I have witnessed Mr and Mrs ...

First time on Cunard, we were supposed to do back to back cruises from Sydney but the New Zealand cruise was cancelled due to the virus. The six day cruise itself was lovely, free from any dramas and we formed some lovely connections with the staff. Our room was the cleanest of any cruises we have ever been on, well done Cunard. Loved walking into a room where I don’t immediately think I had ...

We chose this cruise at the last minute due to changes with our original plans and port restrictions in Singapore and Hong Kong. We decided to stick close to Australia/New Zealand. The Queen Elizabeth is a beautiful and classy ship with amazing ambiance and so many beautiful pieces of furniture and decore. We loved the main dining room and were struck by how very good the menu was on ...

First timers cruising - Cunard not as snobby as I was led to believe

First time cruises we alwways travel independently - but my partner's health made cruising an option to PNG - which is hard to get to otherwise. We are ballroom dancers so we chose Cunard. I was highly intimidated by the dress code snobs online before we cruised - it appeared you needed a different dress for every night -and that if you didn't pay a lot of money for clothes comments will be ...

It was our first time on Queen Elizabeth and we had a wonderful time. It was a cruise from Sydney to Tasmania, we disembarked at Sydney. It is amazing ship and crew were friendly & helpful. The service all over the ship was fantastic. The day core of the Queen Elizabeth was lovely and had plenty of nice areas to look out at the sea & read a book. You could do looks or just relax. We ...

Absolute thrill to spend 3 days on-bard the Queen Elizabeth from Sydney - Brisbane. Fabulous food, beautiful state-room. Stunning, commisioned works of art. Incredible/wonderful décor and design. Loved the Art deco style evidenced throughout the ship. A truly unforgettable experience. I walked the passageways for the three days transfixed by the surroundings. Every turn produced something ...

We very much enjoyed our 25 day Sydney-San Francisco cruise on Queen Victoria. It was made even more enjoyable by our upgrade to a Princess Grill Suite. The first benefit of the upgrade was the priority embarkation when we went straight through Immigration and all the other checking in processes, avoiding the very long lines for others not so fortunate. The exclusive Princess Grill ...

We joined the ship in Sydney, heading for Los Angeles, about 28 nights. We have been with Cunard on many cruises, but this was the longest cruise we have taken. Since we were celebrating our Golden Wedding Anniversary, we wanted a special cruise and at the same time sample a Cunard ship. As we didn't see much of San Francisco and Hawaii when we visited six months prior this cruise gave us the chance to see both for longer. We enjoyed the activates on board, in particular darts and trivia's, the entertainment staff were the best we have ever ...
