We chose the QM2 because husband, an engineer, wanted to experience the one and only Oceanliner. This was our first and only cruise on a Cunard ship.
We actually were on the ship for 20 days—Southampton all the way to NYC. Every time we had breakfast or lunch in the buffet area it was a chaotic mess. And interestingly, we never received a survey from Cunard after completion of our cruise, so my ...
After over 50 cruises, I thought it would make sense to sail Cunard. BIG mistake. The Queen Elizabeth was coming out of a dry dock just prior to our cruise, so I expected to step aboard an almost new, spiffy ship. That didn't happen. There were broken items in the Lido, in the Casino, in the Laundry rooms and in the public bathrooms. And everything that was broken on Day 1 stayed broken to the end ...
Boarding was seamless and the ship was in excellent condition for wear and tear and cleanliness
Our cabin was immaculate, however we experienced poor sleep due to hard beds and pillows and the shower was the smallest I have ever experienced on a cruise ship. The games deck was the best I have seen for senior passengers but not so for young passengers.
The taste of the water was ...
To say that we were disappointed with this cruise is an understatement.
We are loyal Cunard cruisers, having completed 14 other cruises on Cunard ships, including QE2, Queen Mary 2, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth. We are huge fans of the brand and would always rave about everything in relation to the ship, ship facilities, crew, service. They were the epitome of luxury.
First the good. ...
We have never been on Cunard and it had a lot of hype as to the quality so decided to try them on a five night culinary cruise from Sydney. We have dome many cruises so perhaps our expectations were too high.
The boarding process was good and seamless. We were in Our Voyage number :Q305
FROM Jan 28th untill Feb 2nd
Veranda Room. The room was disappointing the shower floor was delaminating ...
Chose this cruise as a quick getaway with my father. The ship itself is beautiful and a testament to great ship design. It’s not the most modern ship but internally in decent shape, cabins nice and well appointed if not they do lack electrical outlets and other modern touches.
As per other reviews, boarding was an odd affair with people held I. The terminal and boarded by seat row. Terminal ...
Having sailed many times with Cunard we looked forward to the Christmas / New Year cruise. We were supposed to have priority boarding - didn't happen. We had asked to be seated on a table for 8 for the evening meal. Didn't happen - got a table for 4 and maitre d' not interested. No cocktail parties - because of Covid but 1000+ people dined together at each sitting and similar numbers in the ...
There were so many problems with this special trip, that its hard to know where to start. Lots of other passengers felt exactly the same way. We have no intention on travelling with Cunard again, unless they do something to make amends.
Firstly the big one - being lied to by Cunard, and then this being spun as a "unique opportunity". The ship was faulty, and had been arranged to go into dry ...
WE chose this cruise , as being frequent cruisers on other lines we had heard of Cunard 5 star reputation?
It was to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and a 70th Birthday so very special.
We found the ship despite the Christmas decorations tired and cold particularly in the dining and public areas,
The food was good, but limited and repetitive in main dining and the buffet ...
I chose this cruise to spend Christmas day in Milford Sound in New Zealand. It was to be the highlight and is a long held bucket list item, as well as an amazing opportunity for wildlife photography. I had an excursion booked for that purpose (several over the course of the cruise). Instead, they hadn't had the ship hull cleaned in order to pass the strict environmental standards of Customs NZ. ...
