We booked a guarantee obstructed view cabin. Never again. We were allocated cabin 4076. This was right over the state of the Queen's ballroom. The noise started every night at eight and continued till half twelve. Loud base beat and music vibrated wall and floor. Only suitable if you like to stay up late.
Food was very good and plenty of choice.
Entertainment was excellent particularly on ...
This cruise was a part of Imagine Cruises Orient Express package-including Lake Garda and Florence. The other elements were fantastic but I will concentrate on the included 7 night cruise in this review. We have done a number of cruises previously mainly with Celebrity and RCI so have a fair idea about cruising. Our transfer from Florence to Civitavecchia went without problem and we were on board ...
Last minute deal that visited ports we had not seen before.
Nice ship, mid size, almost exactly like Holland America one we used last year but not so flashy.
Food was better on Cunard, staff were excellent, entertainment reasonable, thrilled to see Bill Bryson. Concord pilot very interesting.
Ports were good and interesting except for Zandar, which was a waste of time. Loved Kotor. ...
There's a lot to like about QV, but the food in the Britannia dining room, an important part of cruising, is not one of them. Tough steaks, dry roast pork, tasteless sea bass, endless steamed vegetables, in fact the only way to describe the meals is ordinary. Except perhaps for the deserts there was very little else that was delicious. Also strange combinations of ingredients e.g. a slice of cold ...
I booked with Queen Victoria mainly because I liked the itinerary. The Queen Victoria is an amazing boat - spotlessly clean and shiny, elegant and comfortable! It was just beautiful! The staff were very attentive and provided excellent service, mainly in the Britannia Dinning Room and my cabin steward. Some staff were a bit aloof but generally ok. They were going to varnish the balcony rails on ...
By way of context this holiday was to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and we chose this particular cruise (V614B for 7 nights in western med) because all the stops would be new to us and because we wanted to try a Cunard. We booked a Q3 Penthouse Queens grill suite as soon as bookings opened.
Pre-cruise customer service was poor. The email query facility was withdrawn with no ...
It is with a little trepidation I start this review on a cruise. I have reviewed restaurants, hotels and attractions on TripAdvisor but when it comes to reviewing the whole package it is more daunting
The review will reflect my own likes and dislikes but I always try to be objective and reflect actualities.
This is the fourth time I have sailed with Cunard and the third time on the Queen ...
This is our fourth Cunard cruise. We have done three Atlantic crossings and had been on this ship about 18 months ago at the beginning of the World Voyage. We had been keen to try a cruise with the line for a while – our minds were made up by an excellent on board credit offer. We started with a couple of days in Rome beforehand and arranged a private transfer with Rome Airport Transfers from our ...
This was one of those deals which includes 2 nights in Rome before embarking, flights and transfers at an attractive price + balcony cabin.
I suppose corner cutting is going to happen and in this case it was that the flights involved a change in Frankfurt outbound (hint: never accept that, it was dreadful) and in Munich inbound (not quite so bad but a long wait in Rome Airport was the pits). ...
We love Cunard and we love the Victoria, so once again we chose her for our summer break. A chartered flight from Heathrow to Rome went well but was a little chaotic on the airport to the ship transfer. On booking we were told we had a top grade of our cabin choice but we were upset that our balcony was smaller than our Christmas cruise when we used the saver fare option. The cabin 5133 was a ...
