1-10 of 23 Cunard Queen Victoria Cruise Reviews for Luxury Cruises to the Canary Islands
Chose this cruise as we love all the dancing aboard Cunard lines. This was our second, the first being 17 days on Queen Elizabeth. Had not been to the Canary Islands so it was a good fit. We had an ocean view as compared to a balcony last time and all was well. Room steward was great as always and room was clean and comfortable. Could not see the difference in cost being worth it on this 12 ...
See cabin review below. The Victoria was in very good order, and nicely decorated for Xmas and NY. No welcome drink despite slick embarkation and with bags in cabin immediately.
Entertainment in the evening was above average and during the day OK with good lecturers in the morning although the port lectures had funny timings. Plenty of quizzes and table & paddle tennis which suits us.
The ...
This was our second cruise and the first time on Queen Victoria, our last one was on Queen Elizabeth. We found we preferred Queen Victoria it has a lovely feel about it. We stayed in a Queens Grill Penthouse suite which was very nice and spacious and our butler was lovely. We had priority Embarkation and Disembarkation. The Queens Grill restaurant was also first class, the waiters were very polite ...
This cruise (our first with Cunard) was sold to us as a luxury cruise. I think there is a difference between luxury and tradition and I don't mean traditional in the sense of cruising in it's 'glory days' but traditional as in, how the world views the UK. Formal, polite, good table manners, royalists etc. There's no doubt it's a beautiful ship and Cunard as a company has a very interesting and ...
A bit about me and my age etc first. I have done 17 cruises in total and have been on various ships, In my early days Carnival, MSC, Royal Caribbean and Cunard. We went on the cruise as a family, Myself aged 47 male, my partner 49 female and my mum who is 74, think the word mum explains. We are gold members on Cunard so we have done a few.
We have been with Cunard before and decided to take my ...
This was our first cruise ever and it exceeded our expectations.
From the start Staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and catered to our every need. Personnel could not have been friendlier or more courteous and we ended our cruise feeling we were leaving friends.
So many things to do both at sea and on the tour excursions.
All meals were superlative and the "Behind The ...
This was our second cruise with Cunard - the first was on the Mary on the first leg of her World Trip.
The ship is beautifully appointed. We started off the cruise in a balcony cabin but after four days we moved to a cabin in the Princess Grill. As a consequence we ate in both the Brittania Dining room and the Princess Grill dining room and I have to say the food was excellent in both. The ...
This was a trip with my husband and my 85 year old mother who was bereaved 6 months ago. My husband and I have cruised many times before with Cunard.
First the good points, as always the cleaning, cabin, waiters etc staff second to non. They work hard and are paid little but do it all with a smile fantastic. The ship was spotless, lovely.
Now the poor points.
My mother needed assistance ...
Our first cruise on QV but my second with Cunard as I sailed the QE2 10 years ago, however there have been some changes in 10 years as you would expect, but nothing drastic.
The QV welcomes you with open arms and being a smaller ship is very easy to navigate and find your way around. we had a ocean view cabin on deck 1 toward the front, so we did feel the motion when the seas became somewhat ...
Christmas aboard this ship was just perfect. Totally thrilled to be upgraded to Queens Grill penthouse on deck 4.Worth checking these out, midships so great location. Butler service is discreet and so helpful, this is the Cunard standard. Same in Queens Grill restaurant, great service and very relaxing.More than enough to do during sea days including getting technical help with my new laptop! We ...
