Thoughts on QV 316, Northern Spain & France
"We did have one Lido breakfast on a port day (from the lovely omelette station) and one room service breakfast, otherwise, as late risers when on holiday, we started the day with coffee in the bar of the Chart Room, one of our favourite rituals.Cabin & Ship Condition Our cabin was in very good nick - no noticeable scrapes, scuffs or stains - or at least any that bothered us...."Read More

19th cruise with Cunard and very impressed. Le Harve & Rotterdam From embarkation onwards was great. Dining in QG with Deepak and MJ as our waiters. They were friendly and professional. Ordered off menu a few times (seafood cocktail; various lobster dishes; rum baba and baked Alaska) and no issues at all. Butler was lovely and you could set you watch with her canapé delivery ...

Pros: Booking in and boarding ship was very well organised, and we had no issues. Elegant ship in good repair with all of the facilities you would wish for. Excellent food at all levels and entertainment which caters for all. Cabin steward was attentive efficient and friendly. Public areas very clean and Queens Room especially very elegant and used a lot for dancing and concerts. Theater ...

This one week cruise, from 18-25 June, was our first since the autumn of 2019, when we were also on Queen Victoria. Itinerary This included four ports- La Coruña, Gijón, Bilbao and Cherbourg - and 2 sea days. The itinerary is being repeated later in the summer. The ports were all new to us - we didn’t do any tours, just stayed and explored locally. These were all pleasant places to spend ...

Good enough - Just!

Cruise and the service provided I would rate just about good enough, though there is absolutely no margin. Brittania Club worth the extra money. Great setting, relaxed and not rushed. Plenty of choice. Entertainment was adequate. Repeated mediocre singer and decayed comedian again budget affected. Singing group were very good. Plenty of room in well-appointed auditorium. Ample room on ...

Despite paying the Cunard Fare and having second sitting dining confirmed, we were forced into open dining. Maitre’d was unable to assist and seemed very stressed. Overheard many comments of a similar nature. There are not enough staff on board to provide proper service. The staff who are on board are run off their feet and look miserable. Waits of 30 minutes in the Commodore Club. Queues ...

Chose cunard because previous experience has shown us that it excels in all regards, food, service, entertainment , covid precaustions etc service and customer awareness. It did not dissappoint. Calibre of other passengers mirrors these attributes. A bit more expensive but you get what you pay for. Smaller size compared to many nowadays, 2000 paengers but makes for a more exclusive holiday. ...

We have been in the QG on Cunard many times and always enjoyed ourselves, so chose a Q4 cabin again. The cabin is spacious, with a lovely large balcony for lounging in the sun, separate bath and shower, and gorgeously comfortable beds. The pillow Concierge service enabled us to have goose down pillows, and they had complied with my request for blankets rather than duvets, which I had made in ...

Too Young for Cunard

This 14 night voyage is my 13th cruise with Cunard and it is a few years since I have written a review. However, as this cruise was one of Cunard’s ‘special event’ and themed voyages and the longest single cruise I have done, I think its time to share my thoughts again. At only 26 and 29 years old my husband and I are quite a bit younger than the stereotype Cunard passenger, however we enjoy the ...

We went on the Queen Victoria Voyage du Vin cruise for 14 days September 2019 and in our opinion everything was better than last year. The Britannia Restaurant food was beautifully presented and the service was excellent. Thank you to Olesha and Victor. The Lido Restaurant was very good and the staff were very helpful and efficient. The place to go for delicious omelettes to order. Our ...

We have been on all 3 Cunard ships which are all beautiful and very well presented. The staff are second to none and very helpful. We chose this cruise and had booked a year in advance whilst still on board in 2018. It was our wedding anniversary on the 24th June so we like to go away the same time every year. We don't mind where to as long as it falls on our anniversary date and as long ...
