1-10 of 16 Cunard Queen Mary 2 (QM2) Cruise Reviews for Luxury Cruises to the Transatlantic
The transatlantic crossing was part of a two ship round trip to USA, Bermuda and Bahamas.
The first part was a faultless sailing on Celebrity Silhouette. All the crew were welcoming and friendly. so good I am going again with Celebrity next Year.
Then what a change. The crew on Queen Mary could barely look at anyone. The captain was most unwelcoming and it filtered down from there. The ...
Booked the Queens Grill = £9.000 so quite expensive. Was expecting a real quality experience but very quickly realised it was not all it was made up to be. So, arrived in Southampton and entered a chaotic cattle shed where I was shunted to the priority line. Walked on the ship to be told “the lift is over their, like “get on with it”. Walked around aimlessly for a bit and really found my cabin ...
It was a Christmas present from my lovely husband. Both were very disappointed; this was not a luxury experience .
The cabin was over crowded with furniture and would be a health and safety issue in an emergency especial at night. Cabin carpet had old stains and the floor had not been properly vacuumed. The red coloured day bed cover was badly stained. Air in the cabin was stuffy which the ...
For our 40th anniversary, my wife and I decided to do something special, take a 7-day cruise on the Queen Mary II from Southampton, England to New York, May 11-17. I am writing to let you know why we will never do that again.
On the plus side, the room was very nice. Our steward was superb. The art gallery was excellent, and the entertainment was the best we have enjoyed on any of the ...
it was the earliest ship to cross over to new York 08/05/17 as i and my wife went over and came back after just over two weeks in the usa,
going over i had diarrhoea 5 times and 3 times coming back i put it down to the drinking water in my balcony cabin it was constantly hot or warm ,and had to run the cold tap all the time just to get it colder even then it did not work. Called out the ...
Having saved and worked hard to do this transatlantic cruise both ways we were thoroughly disappointed with Cunard. The ship looks tired and as for 'formal' nights don't bother dressing up as the dress code was NOT adhered to, we often came across passengers in jeans, trainers, shorts in the dining room, theatre and ballroom! Some members of staff were very unhelpful and didn't respect your ...
The directions that cunard gives for embarkation are not correct. They tell me to go through immigration when I arrive in New York. The airport I flew into did not have immigration. My assigned seating on the round trip was not given to the airport when booking. My luggage came in on another flight. Thank God I found it.
The choppy, rainy and high winds kept me from going out on deck. I took ...
This was my 19th cruise - my first on Cunard and my last. The ship was full of mold - the dining rooms and photo galleries smelled of backed up sewage. There is so much hype and it did not live up to it - don;t waste your money - stick to Royal Caribbean and NCL.
The pursers desk was staffed by stuffy, rude people who were constantly making mistakes. The ship's crew had the attitude that we were ...
This was our 4th trip on the Queen Mary 2. We traveled once each of the past four years on the transatlantic. Three of the four trips we went Queen's Grill (first class) including this one. Three of the four were westbound (Southampton to NY) including this one. The first trip was in June 2009, the second in January 2010, the third in October 2011 and this last one in November 2012. It was ...
My husband and I recently completed 14 years of living in England and thought that taking the Atlantic crossing on the QM2 out of Southampton in August with our 16-month-old twins would give us a chance to recharge our exhausted batteries. As you might expect, the logistics and details of an overseas move are many and complex--even without a pair of toddlers on our hands! We were desperate to have ...
