Don't be frightened by this review. If you have already booked, you will not have a bad time on this cruise ship. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. HOWEVER, if you have not already booked, I suggest you consider another ship.
The QM2 is aging and due for a re-ft later this year. There's a lot of rust and stains around deck, in restaurants and our cabin. It clearly shows the wear from all those ...

We wanted to complete an earlier world cruise, and so booked the 49 day Sydney to New York cruise. We love the QM2 and continue to love it. After the Covid pause we were a bit worried as to what shape the ship would be in, but we found it to be in good shape. Things are returning to normal. We chose this cruise because it ended in Sydney where we spent a week with relatives. In 2017 we did a similar cruise on the same ship which started in Sydney and ended in Hong Kong. I love the QM2 - it really is unique amongst all the ships I've sailed on. What I particularly like is the fact that it never feels crowded, and the passengers tend to be a mix of nationalities.

What a disappointment. Destinations were changed at least three times and itineraries cancelled at the last minute due to the coronavirus.
