I’m onboard now and the service has declined dramatically! Lots of new staff with attitudes and 3 star service. Rooms are outdated and in desperate need of a renovation. Stains on carpets and drapes . Bathroom still has a musty curtain and room temperature can not be fixed as they were here twice .

We wanted to complete an earlier world cruise, and so booked the 49 day Sydney to New York cruise. We love the QM2 and continue to love it. After the Covid pause we were a bit worried as to what shape the ship would be in, but we found it to be in good shape. Things are returning to normal. Ideal cruise for a winter break, but we were not informed of the much reduced recreational facilities before we boarded. On board costs are eye-wateringly expensive, but staff were friendly and attentive. However, some staff had self modified face masks, which were open at the bottom. First few days out of Southampton were quite choppy at sea and a lot of passengers appeared to be staying in their rooms. Ship movement prevented the acrobatic act from performing in the theatre and outside deck areas were closed. Thankfully, conditions improved once the ship had got past the Bay of Biscay and temperatures rose the closer we got to the Canaries.
