As this cruise was leaving from MELBOURNE and was a special event for us we thought CUNARD would be worth cruising with as have never cruised with them before. it did not disappoint, everything from entertainment, food, cleanliness of rooms was wonderful. and would like to give a big shout out to Jonash who kept our room immaculate. Food was exceptional, whether dining room or on 9th floor for ...

Our first time back on Cunard since pre COVID but have done many Princess and Holland america cruises. Both HAL and Princess have cutback on so many things and added extra charges for many things that were once free . The Royal class Princess ships are like travelling in a Westfield mall with most bars speciality restaurants and lounges opening off the main atrium which hold aerobics and ...

A Most Enjoyable Cruise

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Queen Elizabeth

This was our second cruise on QE, a five-day voyage from Melbourne to Hobart (with an overnight stay) and return to Melbourne. Our previous cruise was in March 2023, a repositioning voyage from Melbourne to Singapore. Although the repositioning cruise was most enjoyable, there were some service issues resulting from staff shortages. Happily, the Hobart cruise did exceed all our ...

Scones galore and happy were we

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Queen Mary 2 (QM2)

Scones with clotted cream EVERY SINGLE DAY!! And hands down the best ship's library ever (though I've only been on 5 ships in life so far). My husband and I did our first crossing from NYC to Southampton in October 2022, and we loved it enough to come back again. The first crossing in 2022 was even better in the entertainment realm--we joined the National Symphony (I think that was the name; their ...

Overall a superior experience to that of multiple other cruise lines (P&O Princess Pacific Celebrity). Excellent customer service. Free room service (food). Food generally of excellent quality. Steaks at The Verandah restaurant to die for. Pizza at Lido average. Older crowd. Very few children. Dress code but with casual dining options as well. Formal Gala nights. Bed and pillows are divine. ...

We wanted to celebrate our 30th in style so we chose Cunard. They did not disappoint. Great service , sparkly rooms ,lots of activities, fabulous food and free laundry. We loved our Balcony Room and we enjoyed the televised lectures and entertainment. Staff were great to chat to not robots. Spa was great . Internet - new Starlink was well worth the basic price. FB , emails and some videos ...

The boat looked splendid as she was recently refreshed. She was freshly painted on the exterior and looked amazing. The interior refresh included some new soft goods such as carpets and upholstery, however as expected there are still some areas that need repair. Embarkation was smooth. We arrived at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal around 11:30am. Our assigned check in time was 3:00 pm. We stood in ...

Fantastic Transatlantic!

A quick review of our Southampton to New York QM2 crossing, 19-26 Nov. I booked this trip last minute in October when I spotted a “too good to miss” deal on a sheltered verandah cabin. Only after booking did I realise that it was a literary crossing, which was a bonus! The ship was just out of dry dock after a refit, that included new carpets, reupholstered chairs and a beautiful new floor ...

This is my second Queen Elizabeth review. Cabin - This time we were in cabin next door to where we stayed last year. Everything was well maintained, clean, and plenty of space and storage for our 34 night cruise. Service - impeccable everywhere. Food - Britannia MDR breakfast lunch and dinner always hot, beautifully presented and tasty. Freedom dining works for us. No queues. Every table ...
