We wanted to complete an earlier world cruise, and so booked the 49 day Sydney to New York cruise. We love the QM2 and continue to love it. After the Covid pause we were a bit worried as to what shape the ship would be in, but we found it to be in good shape. Things are returning to normal. The ship was very clean, and the deck crew was putting a lot of time and effort into painting.
As usual, ...
Thought I would read throw some reviews as I've not been on here for a while and blimey, people are fairly getting stuck in to poor old Victoria.
Yes we were held up in dry dock but for goodness sake,we were all fed and watered, what people have to understand is....these things happen, yes,it was disappointing missing Lisbon but would these people rather the cruise was cancelled last minute? I for ...
Did the Xmas cruise after a break of 3 years due to covid. Glad that all the important features and standards have been maintained. Yes there were changes but were all beyond Cunard control. International legislation regarding the environment and Covid regulations meant that, just like life in the uk, things had to change. Life or cruising will never be the same again. The food, staff ,service and ...
Finally, at, I think, our seventh attempt we made it back on to a Cunard ship, and enjoyed ourselves very much. We have cruised with Cunard many times and were pleased to see everything was much as expected, with a few differences because of Covid.
By far the worst part was embarkation which took about an hour and three quarters rather than the usual 20 minutes. I’m not sure why this was, ...
We have cruised with Cunard once before, this would be our first time on Queen Elizerbeth, and our first Christmas and New Year cruise. Because of Covid the ship was only half full and (vaccinated) adults only. It was fourteen nights in duration, and calling at Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Madeira and La Coruna. All these places we have visited many times before, this meant ...
We saw this cruise advertised by Imagine cruising who had chartered Queen Mary after covid restrictions forced her scheduled restart to be delayed. We were keen to sail again and the thought of some winter sun was enticing.
Pre sailing the online form filling was tedious and the arrival of a new variant of covid and subsequent media noise created more of it and raised stress levels.
On the ...
This was my first cruise since the Covid pandemic caused everything to be put on hold. Understandably, there were a few differences on board, which I have taken into consideration for this review.
Embarkation
Very smooth, even though there were no obvious signposts to find the covid testing drive through. The test was fairly quick, with minimal queues. Once through, we headed over to the ...
Excellent service and food, and world class shows. Entertained by Pam Ayres and educated by Lord Dannatt, or should that be the other way round? Special thanks to crew and staff, Roger, Chandra, Jane, Alex, Sid and many others. A great ocean liner - one of us gets sea sick on smaller ships but no problems on QM2. Enjoyed different venues each morning for coffee. Never actually went to the famous ...
We choosed this World cruise on Cunard for the itinerary and the ship
It was a very special cruise because of the Corona virus.
Everyone was disappointed by the cancellation of the ports.
But we understood , it was more safe to not stop in Asia. It was the end of January and we can only thanks Cunard, to have taken this terrible decision so quick, we were one of the first ship to change ...
We decided on Cunard as P&O have gone so far downhill,it’s not an option anymore.
We are lucky enough to have suites when we cruise and boy do Cunard treat you well.
The cabin at the back of the ship was clean and spacious.
We dined in the queens grill, where you have your own table and nobody else ever sits there,it’s yours for the duration. The waiter we had was second to none and the ...
